Around 2:30 am on July 1, 2017, a shootout occurred at the Power Ultra Lounge nightclub in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Twenty-eight people were injured and one hospitalized.

Simmons Bank Tower is a 40-story skyscraper located at 425 West Capitol Avenue in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. At 547 feet (167 m) high, it is the tallest building in Arkansas.

The Capitol–Main Historic District encompasses a well-preserved area of early 19th-century commercial architecture in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The district includes 2-1/2 blocks of Capitol Street, extending east from Center Street, one block of Main Street south of Capitol, and one block of 6th Street west of Main. The buildings in this area were mostly built before World War II, and are of a more modest scale than modern sections of the downtown. Notable buildings include the LaFayette Hotel and the Pfeifer Brothers Department Store.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The former Little Rock YMCA is a historic building at 524 Broadway Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a large four-story brick building, with Mission Revival styling that includes a tower rising to an arcaded open top story. It was built in 1928, and was one of the largest projects of Little Rock's leading architectural firm of the period, Mann and Stern. The building has since been converted to commercial uses.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Regions Center is a 30-story skyscraper located at 400 West Capitol Avenue in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. At 454 feet (138 m) high, it is currently the second tallest building in Arkansas. It was completed in 1975.

The former LaFayette Hotel is a historic commercial building at 525 South Louisiana Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a twelve-story concrete structure, faced primarily in brick. It has a rectangular footprint at its base, with an L-shaped tower facing the street fronts of South Louisiana and Sixth Street. Its facades are decorated with terra cotta panels, and it is crowned by a pressed metal cornice. Its main entrances are marked by projecting marquees of cast iron. The hotel was designed by St. Louis architect George Barnett and was built in 1925. The hotel operated until 1933, opening again after World War II until closing in 1973.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The First United Methodist Church is a historic church at 723 Center Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a large brick building, designed by Frank W. Gibb and built in 1899–1900. It is one of the city's finest examples of Romanesque Revival architecture, with square towers at its corners, and its predominantly smooth brick exterior contrasted by rusticated granite trim. The congregation, founded in 1831, is the oldest Methodist congregation in the city, and the mother congregation of many of its other Methodist establishments. Its senior pastor is the Rev. David Freeman. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Winchester Auto Store is a historic commercial building located at 323 West 8th Street (corner of Spring Street) in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has also been known as the Winchester Building. It is a single-story masonry structure, with a rounded corner at the street corner, and a flat roof. Its street-facing facades have metal casement windows, and the main entrance, set in the curved corner, is framed by windows made of glass blocks. It was built in 1947 by Dennis and Maude Winchester to house their retail auto parts store. The Winchester's family business began about 1930, and included stores in Little Rock and Pine Bluff. This building remained in use as an auto parts store until 1978, and has largely been vacant since then. It was sold by the Winchester family in 2016.By February 2019, the building had been purchased by Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects (PSW), a firm which had once occupied the Ross Building, also National Register-listed in 2019. The firm was renovating it and planned to move into it in late 2019. An application for tax credits for the renovation was approved in 2018.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Tower Building is a commercial eighteen-story skyscraper at 323 Center Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1959–60, it was the tallest building in the state at the time of its completion, and the state's first instance of composite steel frame construction. It was designed by Little Rock architect F. Eugene Withrow and Dallas, Texas architect Harold A. Berry in the International style. It has curtain walls of windows on its north and south facades, and blank brick walls on the east and west, with the elevator tower projecting from its southern facade.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, is a historic church and the oldest place of continuing worship in the city. It is the seat of the Diocese of Little Rock. The property is located at the corner of South Louisiana Street and West 7th Street in downtown Little Rock.

The Fulk-Arkansas Democrat Building is a historic newspaper headquarters building at 613-615 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1916 by the estate of Francis Fulk, a prominent local judge, and was designed by Charles L. Thompson. It was built on the foundation of a 1911 structure (also a Thompson design) that was destroyed by fire before it was finished. It was occupied by the Arkansas Democrat newspaper from 1917 until 1930, when it moved to the YMCA–Democrat Building. The building is of architectural importance for its association with Thompson, and its surviving Classical Revival details.The building was converted to apartments around 2016.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Arkansas Repertory Theatre (The Rep) is the longest-running nonprofit resident theater in Arkansas. It is affiliated with Actors' Equity Association and offers a year-round season. The Rep is housed in a 377-seat facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was founded in 1976 by Cliff Fannin Baker.The Rep's Executive Artistic Director is Will Trice. Until April 2018, the Producing Artistic Director was John Miller-Stephany. He succeeded longtime artistic director Robert Hupp in 2016, The Rep produces six or seven productions annually. It attracts more than 70,000 patrons annually and offers performances over 200 nights each year. The Rep has mounted more than 350 productions, including 45 world premieres. A recent season included major stagings of The Crucible, Cheryl L. West's Jar The Floor and Sister Act. On April 24, 2018, The Rep suspended production due to financial difficulties. A volunteer committee led by longtime board member Ruth Shepherd was formed to raise $2.33 million. The Rep continued educational programming when production was suspended. The Rep resumed performances on February 20, 2019.
