Capitol–Main Historic District

The former LaFayette Hotel is a historic commercial building at 525 South Louisiana Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a twelve-story concrete structure, faced primarily in brick. It has a rectangular footprint at its base, with an L-shaped tower facing the street fronts of South Louisiana and Sixth Street. Its facades are decorated with terra cotta panels, and it is crowned by a pressed metal cornice. Its main entrances are marked by projecting marquees of cast iron. The hotel was designed by St. Louis architect George Barnett and was built in 1925. The hotel operated until 1933, opening again after World War II until closing in 1973.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Around 2:30 am on July 1, 2017, a shootout occurred at the Power Ultra Lounge nightclub in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Twenty-eight people were injured and one hospitalized.

The Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States, is a historic church and the oldest place of continuing worship in the city. It is the seat of the Diocese of Little Rock. The property is located at the corner of South Louisiana Street and West 7th Street in downtown Little Rock.

The Fulk-Arkansas Democrat Building is a historic newspaper headquarters building at 613-615 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1916 by the estate of Francis Fulk, a prominent local judge, and was designed by Charles L. Thompson. It was built on the foundation of a 1911 structure (also a Thompson design) that was destroyed by fire before it was finished. It was occupied by the Arkansas Democrat newspaper from 1917 until 1930, when it moved to the YMCA–Democrat Building. The building is of architectural importance for its association with Thompson, and its surviving Classical Revival details.The building was converted to apartments around 2016.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Arkansas Repertory Theatre (The Rep) is the longest-running nonprofit resident theater in Arkansas. It is affiliated with Actors' Equity Association and offers a year-round season. The Rep is housed in a 377-seat facility in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was founded in 1976 by Cliff Fannin Baker.The Rep's Executive Artistic Director is Will Trice. Until April 2018, the Producing Artistic Director was John Miller-Stephany. He succeeded longtime artistic director Robert Hupp in 2016, The Rep produces six or seven productions annually. It attracts more than 70,000 patrons annually and offers performances over 200 nights each year. The Rep has mounted more than 350 productions, including 45 world premieres. A recent season included major stagings of The Crucible, Cheryl L. West's Jar The Floor and Sister Act. On April 24, 2018, The Rep suspended production due to financial difficulties. A volunteer committee led by longtime board member Ruth Shepherd was formed to raise $2.33 million. The Rep continued educational programming when production was suspended. The Rep resumed performances on February 20, 2019.

The Moore Building is a historic commercial building at 519-23 Center Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building with Mission Revival styling, designed by Thompson, Sanders & Ginocchio and built in 1929. It has an orange tile parapet roof, with parapetted corners, and periodic use of decorative tiles and terra cotta panels on its two street-facing facades.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Pfeifer Brothers Department Store is a historic commercial building at 522-24 South Main Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a large three story brick structure, with load bearing brick walls and internal steel framing. The ground floor is lined with commercial plate glass display windows, separated by brick pilasters capped with capitals made of terra cotta. Entrances appear on facades facing both Main and Sixth Streets. Above the third-floor windows on the Main Street facade there are round-arch elements with small round windows above, while the Sixth Street facade has corbelled brick elements in the same area. Built in 1899 by the Lasker Brothers to a design by Charles L. Thompson, it was for many years home to the Pfeifer Brothers store, one of the city's leading department stores.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Tower Building is a commercial eighteen-story skyscraper at 323 Center Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1959–60, it was the tallest building in the state at the time of its completion, and the state's first instance of composite steel frame construction. It was designed by Little Rock architect F. Eugene Withrow and Dallas, Texas architect Harold A. Berry in the International style. It has curtain walls of windows on its north and south facades, and blank brick walls on the east and west, with the elevator tower projecting from its southern facade.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Gus Blass Department Store is a historic commercial building at 318-324 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a seven-story masonry structure, built in 1912 to a design by George R. Mann, a leading Arkansas architect. It was one of the first instances of two-way concrete slab construction in the nation, and was one of the first department stores in the state to be air conditioned (in 1936). The Blass Department Store was for many years the city's largest department store, and remained in business here into the 1970s, ultimately becoming a part of the Dillard's department store chain before closing in 1972.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Main Street Commercial District is a historic district encompassing a typical downtown city block of Little Rock, Arkansas, during the first half of the 20th century. The district consists of ten buildings lining the east side of the 300 block of Main Street. This area was completely redeveloped after a fire in February 1900 sparked an explosion at an arms company, levelling the block. The buildings in the district are stylistically diverse, and were built between 1900 and 1955.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. Four of the district's buildings are also individually listed on the National Register: the Fulk Building, the Taylor Building, the Rose Building, and the Gus Blass Department Store.

The Worthen Bank Building is a historic commercial building at 401 Main Street in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story masonry structure with neoclassical and Art Deco lines. It has a steel frame and is faced in limestone. Three bays of three-part windows stand on the second floor, and two flank the center entry. The building was constructed in 1928 for the Worthen Bank, founded in 1877 (later merged into St. Louis-based Boatmen's Bancshares, itself integrated into Bank of America), and was designed by George R. Mann, a prominent local architect otherwise known for his design of the Arkansas State Capitol. Annexes and a parking garage were added in 1952 and 1962, along with some modernization of the 1928 building. In 1969, the complex was acquired by local ABC television network affiliate KATV (channel 7), which converted it into studios, as Worthern relocated to a new skyscraper nearby; the complex then became the KATV Building, with the monicker applied on the facade of the 1954 annex and other details denoting the building's new use, including decorative iron grating in the entryway of the 1928 building formed in the station's Circle 7 logo.KATV vacated the Worthen complex in January 2023 for a newer building in the Riverdale section, as it had become too large and outdated for a modern television station and exterior maintenance had been deferred for years, even before the station's acquisition by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which saw a modern and streamlined broadcast facility for the station as a priority. The 1928 portion of the building is expected to be restored to its original state, with the newer 1950s addition and attached parking garage to be torn down as part a new technology park development.The original 1928 building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Taylor Building is a historic commercial building at 304 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a three-story masonry structure, built out of load-bearing brick with limestone trim. Its facade has a commercial storefront on the ground floor, and three windows on the upper floors, articulated by two-story columns rising to limestone capitals and finely crafted Romanesque arches. Built in 1897, it is a rare surviving example of 19th-century commercial architecture in the city.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
