Lim Chu Kang is a planning area located in the northwestern part of the North Region of Singapore, bordering the Western Water Catchment to the west and south, Sungei Kadut to the east and the Straits of Johor to the north.

The Cashin House, known as The Pier, is a former residence of the Cashin family extending out to sea in Lim Chu Kang, Singapore. The house on the pier was restored and became a new visitor gateway to the western part of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve known as Lim Chu Kang Nature Park.

Kota Iskandar (Jawi: كوتا إسكندر) (formerly Johor State New Administrative Centre (JSNAC)) is the administrative centre of the state of Johor, Malaysia and its seat of government (Executive branch & Legislative branch of the Johor state government). It is located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru District and it is the first phase of the Iskandar Puteri project. The Iskandar Puteri project itself is a part of Iskandar Malaysia. Kota Iskandar was developed by Cahaya Jauhar and the first phase was completed in 2008.

Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) is a co-educational British international school in Malaysia for boarding and day pupils. The school is the sister school of Marlborough College in Wiltshire, UK. The college comprises a Pre-Preparatory School for children aged 3 to 8 years; a Preparatory School for boarding and day pupils aged between 8 and 12 years; and a Senior School for boarding and day pupils aged between 13 and 18 years. The current enrollment is approximately 890 pupils, representing 43 nationalities, and the staff-to-pupil ratio at the College is 1:7. The majority of the teaching body have teaching experience either in Marlborough College UK or other British independent schools.

Sultan Ismail Building (Malay: Bangunan Sultan Ismail) is the meeting places for the Johor State Legislative Assembly. It is located in Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. The architecture is a distinctive blend of Moorish-Andalusian and Johor-Malay design. There are two distinctive skylights: one shaped like a diamond and another like a pineapple, a symbol of Johor's economic prosperity. The State Legastive Assembly Hall is Malaysia's first parliament that's open to the public. Integrated within the Hall are symbolisms of Johor's past and bright future, such as black pepper motifs. There are also many lush gardens, such as the Musk Lime Garden (Laman Kasturi) and Potpourri Garden (Laman Bunga Rampai). The Jauhar Atrium contains tropical plants and a waterfall. The building is named after The late Sultan Ismail Al-Khalidi ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Ibrahim Al-Masyhur. Behind the building is Kota Iskandar Mosque, a Johor second state mosque.

Iskandar Puteri is a city and the administrative capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia (Kota Iskandar). It represents the seat of government of the state of Johor (Executive branch & Legislative branch). Situated along the Straits of Johor at the southern end of the Malay Peninsula, it is also the southernmost city in Peninsular Malaysia. Together with the adjacent cities of Johor Bahru (the official state capital of Johor) and Pasir Gudang, the three adjoining cities are commonly located within the Johor Bahru District. They anchor Malaysia's third largest urban agglomeration namely Iskandar Malaysia, with a population of 2.2 million (As of August 2020).

The Mosque of Kota Iskandar (Malay: Masjid Kota Iskandar) is a Johor state mosque located at Kota Iskandar, Iskandar Puteri, a Johor State Administrative Centre at Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. It is the second state mosque of Johor after Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque in Johor Bahru. This modern futuristic mosque was officially opened on 16 June 2015 and was named after the late 24th and fourth sultan of Johor, Almarhum Sultan Iskandar ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail.

Between 1978 and 2023, the BBC Far Eastern Relay Station broadcast radio programmes addressing the largest audiences in Asia of the BBC World Service. The site at Kranji, Singapore, complemented transmission facilities in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Hong Kong and Oman. Each was built on a vast scale, and were complex, because they transmitted multiple radio programmes simultaneously to different destinations. However, in essence the stations had a simple function: to convert electricity from the grid into radio frequency energy, to superimpose the programme signal (typically using Amplitude Modulation), and finally to radiate the energy with such high power that programmes could be heard using inexpensive, hand-held, battery powered radios with short telescopic antennas across wide areas of the world.

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is a nature reserve in the northwest area of Singapore. It is the first wetlands reserve to be gazetted in Singapore (2002), and its global importance as a stop-over point for migratory birds was recognised by the inclusion of the reserve into the East Asian Australasian Shorebird Site Network. The reserve, with an area of 130 hectares, was listed as an ASEAN Heritage Park in 2003.

The Kranji Marshes is a nature reserve in the northwest area of Singapore.

Horizon Hills (Chinese: 浩然山庄) is a township situated in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. It is Gamuda Land’s first township out of the Klang Valley. Jointly developed with UEM Land, the township spans over 1,200 acres.

The Western Water Catchment is a planning area located in the West Region of Singapore. The planning area borders Tuas and Pioneer to its south, Sungei Kadut, Choa Chu Kang and Tengah to its east, Jurong West to its southeast, Lim Chu Kang to its north and the Straits of Johor to its west. It is the largest planning area by land area, covering nearly a tenth of Singapore Island. It is also one of the two main water catchments in Singapore, the other being Central Water Catchment. The area currently houses four reservoirs, Tengeh Reservoir, Poyan Reservoir, Murai Reservoir and Sarimbun Reservoir. Part of the Western Water Catchment is also a live-firing area in which it is used by the Singapore Armed Forces for training purposes. The SAFTI Live Firing Area commenced operations in 1968 and was revamped in 2008, the eastern part began operations in 2002 and has been extended to Lim Chu Kang Tracks 11 and 13.
