Haggs

Longcroft is a small village in the Falkirk council area in Scotland. The village is located 5.7 miles (9.2 km) west-southwest of Falkirk along a stretch of the A803 road between Haggs and Dennyloanhead. The main features of the village include the Masonic Arms pub and hotel.

The Red Burn is one of two main streams which flow out of Cumbernauld. The Scottish New Town’s name derives from the Gaelic for "the meeting of the waters" and there is broad agreement that one of these waters is the Red Burn.

Castlecary railway station served the village of Castlecary, North Lanarkshire, Scotland from 1842 to 1967 on the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway.

Banknock (Scottish Gaelic: Baile nan Cnoc) is a village within the Falkirk council area in Central Scotland. The village is 6.7 miles (10.8 km) west-southwest of Falkirk, 3.9 miles (6.3 km) east-northeast of Kilsyth and 3.0 miles (4.8 km) north-northeast of Cumbernauld. Banknock is located on the Bonny Water, north of the Forth and Clyde canal and west of the A80 road near to the boundary of Falkirk and North Lanarkshire councils. At the time of the 2001 census, Banknock had a population of 2,529 residents.

Two rail accidents have occurred near Castlecary, Scotland. One of these was in 1937 and one in 1968. Both events involved rear-end collisions, and caused the deaths of 35 and 2 people respectively.

Castlecary () is a small historic village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, directly adjacent to the border with Falkirk. It has long been associated with infrastructure, being adjacent to a bridged river, a Roman fort and roads, a nationwide canal, a Victorian railway viaduct, and a modern motorway. Castlecary is close to the town of Cumbernauld but like Dullatur and Luggiebank is not officially part of the town. Around 1725, the barony of Castlecary, with a population of just seventeen families, was disjoined from the parish of Falkirk, and annexed to Cumbernauld quoad sacra. Castlecary is also near Allandale which, though in the Falkirk council area, was built for Castlecary fireclay workers.

Allandale is a small village in the Falkirk council area of Scotland. Allandale is located 1.6 miles (2.6 km) south-west of Bonnybridge, 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-east of Cumbernauld and 5.4 miles (8.7 km) west-southwest of Falkirk. The entire village is a row of terraced housing along a section of the B816 road from Bonnybridge to Castlecary. The village is bordered to the north by the Forth & Clyde Canal and to the south by the former LMS railway.

Castle Cary Castle (sometimes called Castlecary Castle) is a fifteenth-century tower house, about 6 miles (10 km) from Falkirk, in the former county of Stirlingshire, Scotland. It is less than 3 miles from Cumbernauld Village. It is located near to the site of one of the principal forts of the Roman Antonine Wall.

Banknock railway station served the village of Banknock in Scotland. The station was served by trains on the lines from Kilsyth New to Bonnybridge.

The A803 is a road in central Scotland. It runs from Glasgow to Champany Corner, three miles (4.8 km) due north-east of Linlithgow).
