Tilst Church is a church in Aarhus, Denmark, situated in the suburb Tilst 8 kilometers north-west of Aarhus city center. Tilst Church is from the 1100s, erected as a typical Danish Romanesque village church. Later additions in the 15th century added a Gothic tower and porch. Tilst Church is the only church in Tilst Parish but it is a part of the Tilst-Kasted pastorate which includes Tilst and Kasted Churches. There were 5.163 members of the Church of Denmark living in Tilst Parish on 1 January 2016.

Tilst is a suburban area of Aarhus, Denmark, situated some 10 km to the west of Aarhus. The Tilst area is marked by big city blocks and large traditional suburban areas. In the surrounding area are several superstores, which mainly serve the inner city population of Aarhus. The area is most commonly known for the Bilka warehouse, the largest in Denmark and the only one of its kind in the Aarhus area. The area is divided by the intercity Viborgvej road, with Tilst on the northern side, and the True and Skjoldhøj area situated to the south, bordering Brabrand and Hasle. Tilst has a relatively high density of immigrants compared to the rest of Aarhus, and the suburb is home to many ethnic groups. Tilst is divided into several neighbourhoods, each one usually identified by its location or street names. One area for example, a residential one near the lake of Geding Sø in the western parts, is known as Blomsterkvarteret (The Flower Quarter) since all the streets are named after flowers. There is a relatively large industrial park, with mostly light industry, in the eastern outskirts of Tilst. The local public school is Tilst Skole, and the local gymnasium is called Langkær Gymnasium og HF. The local church, Tilst Kirke, founded in the 1100s is among the oldest churches in Scandinavia, but with several additions from the 15th century.

Geding-Kasted Mose is a bog about 7 kilometers north-west of Aarhus, in the western section of the Egå river valley though which the river Egå runs. The bog covers about 30 hectares of which a sizable portion is used as meadows for grazing cattle. Other parts are cultivated but as the area is low-lying it is more or less flooded during winter. The bog has some waterholes and old peat pits which are now mostly concealed by thickets of primarily downy birch and grey willow. Geding-Kasted Bog is one of the most important catchment areas for the water supply in Aarhus Municipality and the city of Aarhus.

Mejlby is a town in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark with a population of 394 (1 January 2023). Mejlby is situated the northern section of Aarhus Municipality, 20 kilometers from the city of Aarhus. The closest towns are Hårup, one kilometer to the south, Lystrup five kilometers to the south and Spørring three kilometers to the west. E45 passes by six kilometers to the west of the town.

Geding Lake (Danish: Geding Sø) is a lake west of the Aarhus suburb of Tilst in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark. The stream Egå and the Egå river valley begins here. The lake is bounded by the Aarhus-Randers Rail Line to the west. Geding Lake is also known under the older name Gjeding Sø. The lake is connected to a myth and folk story stating that Geding Lake, Brabrand Lake and Lading Lake was created during a battle between two giants that lived in the hills Hasle Høj and Borum Eshøj.Until 1997, the hills on the eastern side of the lake were used for skiing including a ski lift provided by Aarhus SKi Club, but due to lack of snow for years these activities have stopped.

Kærbygård is a manor house and a listed building in Aarhus Municipality, Denmark. The manor was built in 1768 and was listed by the Danish Heritage Agency on 16 April 1990. The estate has been an active farm since it was built. The Kærbygård farm was moved to its present location north of Egå and the village of Kasted in 1680. In 1768 the original 3 winged half-timbered estate was built. In 1880 the facades facing the courtyard were renovated and rebuilt in brick, originally with exposed red bricks, but today whitewashed with neo-renaissance elements. In 1928 two parallel brick buildings for livestock were built in front of the manor building, held in yellow and red and with characteristic crow-stepped gables.

Danmarks Grimmeste Festival (Denmark's ugliest Festival) is a small music festival, held each summer at a farm in Skjoldhøjkilen, Brabrand; a suburb of Aarhus, Denmark. Danmarks Grimmeste Festival features a broad range of genres, including rock, pop, electronic, hip hop and punk music. It is based on volunteers and about 5,000 people attended the 2015 festival. The festival started out as a garden party of four friends at the farm in 2004, and has grown continuously. The 2015 event was the 12th festival and lasted three days from 30 July to 1 August.

Skjoldhøjkilen is a recreational and natural site, in the district of Brabrand in the western part of Aarhus in Denmark. It stretches westwards from Hasle Hills, like a wavy green strip of meadows, small lakes and woodlands. It is 3.5 km long and just as Hasle Hills, it is administered by the self-governing institution 'Hasle Bakker'.

Hårup is a town in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark with a population of 884 (1 January 2023). Hårup is situated north of the city of Aarhus between the towns Todbjerg and Mejlby in Todbjerg Parish close to Trige og Ølsted.

Spørring is a town in Aarhus Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark with a population of 1,067 (1 January 2023). Spørring is situated in the northern section of Aarhus Municipality between the city of Aarhus and Randers in Spørring Parish close to Trige and Ølsted.

Højen 13 is a villa and listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The villa was built in 1958 and was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 11 January 2008. The house was built by the architect Knud Friis as his home and study on a hill overlooking Brabrand Lake in the Brabrand suburb.Knud Friis owned the architect firm Friis & Moltke with his partner Elmar Moltke and they collaborated on most of their projects including their private residences in the Aarhus area. In 1957 Knud Friis and his wife bought a 3000 m2 parcel of land on top of a hill overlooking Brabrand Lake and decided to build their new home there. The original house was built in 1958 and consisted of two parallel wings oriented north to south and connected by two walls that isolates a paved courtyard between the structures. The structure of the main building is formed by the two white garden walls which carry the 1st floor concrete walls which appear like free hanging beams along the width of the garden.The main building is in two floors with kitchen, dining room, bath and guest rooms on the ground floor while the living room, bedroom and study were on the 1st floor while the other wing contained the garage and shed. In 1970 the villa was expanded with a third partially submerged wing to the east, separated from the main building by a skylight column. Most rooms were moved to this new wing leaving more space for other activities in the main building.The villa is an example of brutalist architecture. The walls are of raw concrete with visible marks from formwork boards, the doors and windows are very noticeable and kept in blue and the floors are paved with rock or linoleum. The raw appearance is appeased by the hilly and lush surroundings high above the lake.

The Aarhus Runestones or Ålum Runestones are six Viking Age runestones which were discovered in and around the city of Aarhus, Denmark. The stones are officially titled Aarhus 1 through 6 and they are all memorial stones created in memory or honor of a person. All six stones are kept and displayed at Moesgård Museum and one of the stones is known as the Aarhus Stone or Mask Stone and features the carving of a mask which has become the official symbol of Moesgård Museum.
