Glencar (Irish: Gleann Chárthaigh) is a populated area in County Kerry, Ireland. The housing in Glencar is geographically distributed and, while it does not have a traditional village centre, the central point for the community is the post office and shop at "The Climbers' Inn". It is located on the Kerry Way walking route, close to Carrauntoohil. The Catholic church, St. Stephen's Church in Glencar, is in Glenbeigh parish within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kerry. The local Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club is Glenbeigh-Glencar GAA. The nearby national (primary) school, at Boheshill in Glencar, had an enrollment of 21 pupils in 2024.

The Bones (Irish: Na Cnámha), at 957 metres (3,140 ft) high, is the seventh-highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin list, or the eighth-highest according to the Vandeleur-Lynam list. It is part of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks in County Kerry, and is a small sharp peak on the dramatic Beenkeragh Ridge, and is sometimes mistaken with The Bone, the north-east spur of Maolán Buí, which descends into the Hag's Glen.

Beenkeragh or Benkeeragh (Irish: Binn Chaorach, meaning "mountain of sheep") is the second-highest peak in Ireland, at 1,008.2 metres (3,308 ft), on both the Arderin and Vandeleur-Lynam lists. It is part of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range in County Kerry. Beenkeragh also gives its name the infamous Beenkeragh Ridge, the narrow rocky arete between Beenkeragh and Carrauntoohil, Ireland's highest mountain.

Carrauntoohil, Carrauntoohill or Carrantuohill ( KARR-ən-TOO-əl; Irish: Corrán Tuathail [ˌkɔɾˠaːn̪ˠ ˈt̪ˠuəhəlʲ], meaning "Tuathal's sickle") is the highest mountain in Ireland at 1,038.6 metres (3,407 feet 6 inches). It is on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, close to the centre of Ireland's highest mountain range, MacGillycuddy's Reeks. Carrauntoohil is composed mainly of sandstone, whose glaciation produced distinctive features on the mountain such as the Eagle's Nest corrie and some deep gullies and sharp arêtes in its east and northeastern faces that are popular with rock and winter climbers. As Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntoohil is popular with mountain walkers, who most commonly ascend via the Devil's Ladder route; however, Carrauntoohil is also climbed as part of longer mountain walking routes in the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range, including the 15-kilometre (9+1⁄2 mi) Coomloughra Horseshoe or the 26-kilometre (16 mi) MacGillycuddy's Reeks Ridge Walk of the entire mountain range. Carrauntoohil, and most of the range is held in private ownership and is not part of any Irish national park; however, reasonable access is granted to the public for recreational use.

Caragh Lake (Irish: Loch Cárthaí), also Lough Caragh, is a lake in the Reeks District in County Kerry, Ireland. The lake was formed by the damming of the Caragh River.Caragh Lake railway station was on the Great Southern and Western Railway line which ran from Farranfore to Valentia Harbour.

The Hag's Tooth (Irish: Stumpa an tSaimh, meaning "stump of the sorrel"), at 650 metres (2,130 ft) high, is a sharp rock spike which is the 193rd highest peak in Ireland on the Vandeleur-Lynam scale. It is also known as Stumpeenadaff (Irish: Stuimpín an Daimh, meaning "little pinnacle of the ox"). The Hag's Tooth is situated in the Hag's Glen beside the Eagle's Nest corrie of Carrauntoohil and is part of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks in County Kerry.

Kilcoolaght East Ogham Stones (CIIC 206–213) are a collection of ogham stones forming a National Monument located in County Kerry, Ireland.

The Kerry Bog Village is an open-air museum situated in west County Kerry focused on the culture and history of Ireland. It is a tourist stop on the Ring of Kerry, between the towns of Killorglin and Glenbeigh. The outdoor museum recreates traditional Irish thatched cottages and the lives of their inhabitants during the 19th century. Its founder was involved in the resuscitation of the Kerry Bog Pony as a viable breed.The village's operators describe the village as the "only one of its kind in Europe", and its structures are furnished with antiques.

The River Caragh (Irish: Abhainn Chárthaí) is a river in County Kerry in southwestern Ireland. The river has a catchment area of about 66 square miles (170 km2), comes under the protection of a Special Area of Conservation ("Killarney National Park, MacGillycuddy's Reeks and Caragh River Catchment"). The rare Kerry Slug is known to have been identified in the area.

Laune Rangers is a Gaelic football and Hurling club based in town of Killorglin, County Kerry, Ireland. The club is affiliated to Kerry GAA. Rangers won the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship in 1996.

Cnoc an Chuillinn (Irish for "hill of the steep slope"), at 958 metres (3,143 ft), is the sixth-highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin list and the seventh-highest peak in Ireland on the Vandeleur-Lynam list. The name is sometimes incorrectly anglicised to Knockacullion, which is a name used for peaks and townlands in other parts of Ireland. Cnoc an Chuillinn is part of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range in County Kerry.

The Puck Fair (Irish: Aonach an Phoic, meaning "Fair of the He-Goat", poc being the Irish for a male goat) is one of Ireland's oldest fairs. It takes place annually from 10–12 August in Killorglin, County Kerry.
