Myricks Airport

Myricks is an association community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Berkley, Bristol County, Massachusetts. The elevation is 62 feet. Myricks appears on the Assonet U.S. Geological Survey Map. It is also the junction of the railroad from Fall River, New Bedford, and Boston on the Fall River Railroad (1846) (later the Old Colony Railroad). The Myricks railway station was a popular stop for vacationers. This stop on the line no longer exits. Near the location of this stop was the Cattle and Agricultural Show that ran for some years towards the end of the 19th century. The buildings were later sold and is now unsettled land off Mill Street.

The Cedar Swamp River is a small river in Lakeville, Massachusetts that flows 4.6 miles (7.4 km) in a northwesterly direction through the western part of the town to where it forms the Assonet River near the Freetown line, just south of the village of Myricks. It is a tributary of the Taunton River.The river is crossed by a railroad line that was originally built as the Taunton and New Bedford Railroad in 1840. It is now operated by CSX.

The Silver City Galleria was an enclosed, two-level, super-regional mall located off Route 24 and Route 140 in Taunton, Massachusetts, United States. It covered a leasable area of over 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2), and served multiple cities and towns in the region. It was demolished in 2021. The mall's facilities included 120 retail stores, 8 anchors, 33 customer services, a ten-screen cinema, 6 sit-down restaurants, 6 specialty eateries, an arcade, a food court, a center court, and a children's play area. IPC International managed security, and UGL's Unicco managed facilities services.Anchor tenants included Sears, JCPenney, Macy's, Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, Regal Cinemas, Lechmere and Round One Entertainment. The mall also planned for a Jordan Marsh to be added between the cinema and Filene's (later Macy's). The plan for the Jordan Marsh was scrapped after Macy's bought the company. An empty hallway with a window at the end of it on the second floor is where the Jordan Marsh was going to be.

King Airfield Hangar is a historic airplane hangar on Middleboro Avenue in Taunton, Massachusetts on private property near the Taunton Municipal Airport. It is a wood-frame structure, roughly 80 by 80 feet (24 m × 24 m), with a curved corrugated metal roof.The hangar was built in 1919 as part of "King's Field", one of the first private airports in New England, and is its oldest surviving remnant. The airfield was built by Henry King on his dairy farm. King and his family established a flying school with the purchase of a Curtiss Jenny World War I surplus airplane. The Kings also offered sightseeing tours over the Taunton area. In the 1940s and 50s the family acquired a small fleet of aircraft and operated an air taxi service. Local businesses also hangared their planes at the airfield. In 1959, the main runway was paved and improved to 3,400 feet. Despite lack of obvious necessity, the airfield was taken in the 1960s from the King family by eminent domain by the city and renamed Taunton Municipal Airport. The small portion of the original farm where the 1919 hangar is located was not part of the eminent domain.The historic hangar was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

East Taunton Fire Station is a historic fire station located on Middleboro Avenue in the East Taunton section of Taunton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1899 to replace a rented facility that housed the Old Colony Engine Company. It is a two-story brick building, five bays wide, with a hip roof. The rightmost three bays project forward, with a cross-gable hip roof, with the rightmost bays housing engines, and the left bay of the projection providing the main pedestrian entry. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is occupied by the Taunton Fire Department's Engine 9, Forestry 1, and the Taunton Police "East Taunton Precinct".

The Beer Can Museum, located in East Taunton, Massachusetts, is a collection of more than 5,000 different beer cans, along with beer can folk art and crafts, beer can clothing, beer can telephones and radios, and a beer can and breweriana related library. In November 2013, it was included in Travel & Leisure's list of 'America's Strangest Museums.'

East Taunton station is an under-construction MBTA Commuter Rail station in East Taunton, Massachusetts adjacent to the interchange between the Route 24 expressway and County Street (Route 140). It is planned to open in mid-2024 as part of the first phase of the South Coast Rail project. A former East Taunton station, located to the east on a different line, was served by the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad and several predecessors until 1927. In 2009, South Coast Rail planning identified Taunton Depot, just north of Middleborough Junction (Cotley Junction), as a preferred station site. A 2017 re-evaluation of the project recommended an interim route through Middleborough, with East Taunton station located just south of the junction. A construction contract was issued in 2020.

Massasoit State Park is a public recreation area located on the southeast side of the city of Taunton, Massachusetts, with some parklands spilling into the adjacent town of Lakeville. The state park encompasses more than 1200 heavily wooded acres that include six lakes and ponds (Lake Rico, Furnace Pond, King's Pond, Middle Pond, Little Bearhole Pond, and Big Bearhole Pond) and numerous cranberry bogs.

The Old Colony Iron Works-Nemasket Mills Complex is a historic industrial site located on Old Colony Avenue in the East Taunton section of Taunton, Massachusetts, United States, adjacent to the Taunton River at the Raynham town line. The site was first occupied by the Old Colony Iron Company, which had originally been established in the 1820s as Horatio Leonard & Company. The western part of the complex was sold to Nemasket Mills in 1889. The eastern part was acquired by the Standard Oil Cloth Company. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
