Allianz Field

Minnesota United FC is an American professional soccer club based in Saint Paul, Minnesota that plays in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The club began play in 2017 as the league's 22nd club, and replaced the North American Soccer League (NASL) franchise of the same name. The club played its home games at TCF Bank Stadium, on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, for its first two seasons in MLS play. The club began playing in Saint Paul (becoming the city's fourth professional sports team, joining the Minnesota Wild, the St. Paul Saints, and Minnesota Whitecaps), at Allianz Field in the Midway neighborhood starting in the spring of 2019.Minnesota United FC's ownership is led by Bill McGuire, former CEO of UnitedHealth Group, and includes other Minnesota sports owners: the Pohlad family, owners of the Twins; former Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor; former Wild investor Glen Nelson, and his daughter Wendy Carlson Nelson of the Carlson hospitality company.

Snelling Avenue is a light rail station along the METRO Green Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is located along University Avenue on either side of the intersection with Snelling Avenue. The station has split side platforms, with the westbound platform on the north side of the tracks west of Snelling and the eastbound platform on the south side of the tracks east of the intersection.This station serves the Snelling and University Avenues intersection. The Minnesota Department of Transportation counts 48,550 average daily motor vehicle volume, which is not in the 25 most-trafficked intersections in Minnesota. But urban historian Larry Millett calculated around 64,000 daily cars; he believes that Snelling and University is the busiest in the state.Construction in this area began in 2011. The station opened along with the rest of the line in 2014. Allianz Field opened in 2019 on the southeast corner of University and Snelling Avenues. The Snelling Avenue light rail station serves the new soccer stadium. Other notable features near the station include Ax-Man Surplus and the Turf Club.

The Spruce Tree Centre is a building in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Located at the intersection of University Avenue and Snelling Avenue, the 126,000 square feet (11,700 m2) building was built in 1988. An attached parking garage has over 350 spaces. The parking garage is owned by the city of Saint Paul and has electric car chargers. The building replaced a drug store built in the 1920s. A 37-kilowatt solar panel system was installed on top of the building in 2010 as part of an initiative to install solar power prior to the opening of the Metro Green Line. The panels cost about $350,000 with most of the cost covered by an Xcel Energy grant. Since 2012 the building has been LEED certified and is currently rated Gold. Across the street is the Snelling Avenue Station of the Metro Green Line. Adjacent to the building is a Metro A Line station. The building was described as a model, albeit in need of improvement, for transit and pedestrian supportive infrastructure on the Snelling Avenue corridor.

The Turf Club is a bar, restaurant and music venue in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Originally a dance hall in the 1940s, the Turf Club has since the 1990s been popular with Twin Cities bands, a sharp contrast to previous years when most local bands only played Minneapolis venues. The club has also become an important venue for national and international touring acts. Japanese indie-rock band Shonen Knife played its 1,000th show at the Turf Club.The Turf Club was sold to the owners of First Avenue in late 2013. The venue has a capacity of about 350. The club's basement hosts a smaller bar and performance space, the Clown Lounge, which is used for jazz gigs. The Turf Club is located on the north side of University Avenue near Snelling Avenue and across the street from the Snelling Avenue light rail station on the Green Line. In 2014, the club received a substantial remodel, including an upgraded sound system and the return of a mural featuring five racehorses which had been forgotten, hidden behind curtains, for decades.The building was closed for more than a year in 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also incurred fire and water damage during the civil unrest of the George Floyd protests in 2020, requiring months of repair. The Turf Club reopened for concerts in July 2021.

Snelling & Dayton is a bus rapid transit station on the METRO A Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The station is located at the intersection of Dayton Avenue on Snelling Avenue, just south of Marshall Avenue. Both station platforms are located near-side of Dayton Avenue. The METRO B Line, an upcoming bus rapid transit line, is planned to share existing station infrastructure. The B Line is currently in early planning stages, and is expected to begin operation 2022 between Uptown, Minneapolis and Downtown Saint Paul.The station opened June 11, 2016 with the rest of the A Line.

Sea Foam Stadium is the football field on the campus of Concordia University, Saint Paul in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It opened in 2009, and seats about 3,500 spectators. The Stadium includes a football/soccer field with artificial turf, running track, scoreboard, lights, bleachers, parking, concession facilities, locker rooms, weight room, press box, outdoor plaza, and inflatable dome, somewhat resembling a marshmallow, during the winter months. When the final phases are completed, the stadium will have cost a total of $14.5 million to construct.

Gangelhoff Center is a 3,200-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Concordia University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It opened in 1993. It is the home to Concordia University Golden Bears volleyball and basketball teams and was home to the Minnesota Ripknees during their one season in the American Basketball Association. It also serves as the indoor home to Concordia University Golden Bears track & field, featuring a 200-meter track with a 4-lane oval and 6-lane straightaway, separate runways for horizontal jumps and pole vault, an integrated throws ring, and space for high jump. The facility's surface is Mondo Super X. The Gangelhoff Center is one of the busiest venues in the Twin Cities. The home court for the volleyball and basketball teams, Gangelhoff has 1,200 permanent seats but can expand its capacity to handle 4,000 fans for an event. One of those times was March 2001 when Concordia hosted the Slam Dunk/Three Point competition that was televised nationally by ESPN. A full house was on hand to see the best shooters and dunkers in college basketball partake in intense competition. In December 2008 the Gangelhoff Center hosted the 2008 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championships. The Tournament featured eight teams including host and defending National Champion Concordia University Saint Paul. The tournament was won in dramatic fashion as the #1 Concordia University Golden Bears beat #2 Cal State San Bernardino 3–2. The Gangelhoff Center has served as the venue of several NCAA Regional tournaments and the semifinals and finals of the NSIC basketball and volleyball tournaments over the last three years, In addition to the college volleyball and basketball played here, the Gangelhoff has hosted high school basketball regular season and sectional games, the Minnesota State High School Badminton Tournament, concerts as well as school graduation ceremonies. Several of Concordia's athletic teams practice here when the weather is inclement. In addition, intramural volleyball and basketball is also played here. The 70,000 square foot Gangelhoff Center is named after benefactors Ronald and Doris Gangelhoff.

Hamline Avenue station is a light rail station on the METRO Green Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is located along University Avenue on both sides of the intersection with Hamline Avenue. The station has split side platforms, with the westbound platform on the north side of the tracks west of Hamline and the eastbound platform on the south side of the tracks east of the intersection.Along with Victoria Street Station and Western Avenue Station, this station was originally planned to be an infill station that would be built after the main line had been constructed when there was sufficient demand. However, significant political pressure and changes in the Federal Transit Administration's rules led to an early 2010 announcement that it would be built with the rest of the line.Construction in this area began in 2011. The station opened along with the rest of the line in 2014.

LEAP High School is an Area Learning Center (ALC) high school for English Language Learners (ELL) that is part of the Saint Paul Public Schools system in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It was founded in autumn of 1994 by Jeff Dufresne and Sandra Hall as a high school for newly arrived immigrants to the city of Saint Paul. Its student body is 100% immigrant and range in ages from 14 to 21. Its present principal is Rose Santos who has held this office since 2003.

Dickerman Park is an urban park in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The park is located along University Avenue. The park is 2.5-acre (10,000 m2) in size and stretches along the north side of University from Fairview to Aldine street. The land was donated to the city in 1909 but was never developed as a public green space. Since the park's founding sections have been paved over for parking lots and other sections are used as front yards for businesses. Proposals for redevelopment gained traction in the 2000s with support from the original family that donated the land. The park is often mistaken as a broad setback from buildings on University Avenue.

Both station platforms are located far-side of Minnehaha Avenue. The station opened June 11, 2016 with the rest of the A Line.

Snelling & Grand is a bus rapid transit station on the METRO A Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The station is located at the intersection of Grand Avenue on Snelling Avenue, one block south of Summit Avenue. Both station platforms are located south of Grand Avenue. The station opened June 11, 2016 with the rest of the A Line.
