Cole House (Nashville, Tennessee)

Buchanan's Station was a fortified stockade established around 1784 in Tennessee. Founded by Major John Buchanan, the settlement was located in what is today the Donelson neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. On September 30, 1792, it was the site of the critical Battle of Buchanan's Station during the Cherokee–American wars of the late eighteenth century. The assault by a combined force of around 300 Chickamauga Cherokee, Muscogee Creek, and Shawnee, nominally led by Chief John Watts, was repelled by 15 gunmen under Major Buchanan defending the station. Although smaller raids continued in the region, it was the last major Native American attack on the American settlements in the Cumberland.

Demonbreun's Cave is a cave in Nashville which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Davidson County, Tennessee (NRHP) in 1979. The cave was named after a fur trapper named Timothy Demonbreun.

Omohundro Water Treatment Plant is a municipal water treatment plant located in Davidson County, Nashville, Tennessee on Omohundro Drive. Built in 1888, the pump station and boiler house were designed by C. K. Colley. Fitted with Holly-Gaskill pumps that transfer 10 million gallons of water per day from the Cumberland River to the City Reservoir on Kirkpatrick's Hill at Eighth Avenue, South.The steam-powered generators were converted to electricity in 1952. The filtration plant was completed in 1929 after the intake station, stores and pumps. In 1987 it was added to the US National Register of Historic Places.The plant was threatened during the 2010 Tennessee floods, a devastating flood in Nashville but major damage was avoided with a sandbagging effort.

Greenwood Cemetery is situated at 1428 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville in Davidson County, Tennessee, United States. When opened in 1888, it was only the second cemetery in Nashville for African Americans.

The Miles House is a historic building located at 631 Woodland Street in Nashville, Tennessee It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 8, 1978. Since 1978 the Miles House has been cared for by Phillip Miller and is currently home to the Miller Law Offices.

Belair is a historic mansion in Nashville, Tennessee. Built as a wedding present for Elizabeth Clay, a Southern belle and heiress to the Belle Meade Plantation in the 1830s, it was once the home of William Nichol, a mayor of Nashville.

Shelby Park is a large urban park located approximately three miles (five km) east of downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. The park includes playgrounds, a dog park, baseball fields, two golf courses, and a community center. The park is located between the Lockeland Springs, Shelby Hills, and Rolling Acres neighborhoods. Until the 2011 opening of E. S. Rose Park, the Belmont Bruins baseball team played a portion of its home games at the park. The park includes over 361 acres (1.46 km2) of land.

Mount Olivet Cemetery is a 206-acre (83 ha) cemetery located in Nashville, Tennessee. It is located approximately two miles East of downtown Nashville, and adjacent to the Catholic Calvary Cemetery. It is open to the public during daylight hours.

Gibson Brands Inc. (formerly Gibson Guitar Corporation) is an American manufacturer of guitars, other musical instruments, and professional audio equipment from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee. The company was formerly known as Gibson Guitar Corporation and renamed Gibson Brands Inc. on June 11, 2013.Orville Gibson started making instruments in 1894 and founded the company in 1902 as the Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co. Ltd. in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as one of the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, used and popularized by Charlie Christian. In 1944, Gibson was bought by Chicago Musical Instruments (CMI), which was acquired in 1969 by Panama-based conglomerate Ecuadorian Company Limited (ECL), that changed its name in the same year to Norlin Corporation. Gibson was owned by Norlin Corporation from 1969 to 1986. In 1986, the company was acquired by a group led by Henry Juszkiewicz and David H. Berryman. Mill Creek is a 27.9-mile-long (44.9 km) tributary of the Cumberland River that extends through Williamson and Davidson counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Via the Cumberland and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The creek begins near Nolensville, Tennessee, and continues into Metropolitan Nashville, winding through the Antioch, Cane Ridge, South Nashville, and Donelson neighborhoods, before flowing into the Cumberland about 2 miles (3 km) upstream from downtown Nashville. It is prone to flooding, and was the first site of major flooding during the 2010 Tennessee floods. At least five people were killed as a result of the creek's raging flash flood, and millions of dollars of property damage was reported along Mill Creek. Mill Creek is the only known habitat in the world for the endangered Nashville Crayfish.
