MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center (LBMC), formerly known as Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, is a hospital in Long Beach, California. It is the flagship hospital of the MemorialCare Health System. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission.Long Beach Memorial is one of only 3 hospitals in California with a 320 Slice CT Scanner and preventive technology and programs such as the Electromagnetic Navigation Bronchoscope (ENB) and the Division of Interventional Neuroradiology. The hospital includes facilities such as the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute, the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute, the MemorialCare Rehabilitation Institute, the MemorialCare Orthopedic Institute, the MemorialCare Neuroscience Institute, MemorialCare Joint Replacement Center, Stroke Program and the Emergency Department and Trauma Center.Miller Children's Hospital is located on the campus of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

College Medical Center, is a community-based teaching hospital located in Long Beach, California. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. It was purchased by Santa Fe Springs-based healthcare management company College Health Enterprises Inc., in October 2013 and renamed College Medical Center. This purchase joined the hospital with College Hospital Cerritos and College Hospital Costa Mesa as affiliates of College Health Enterprises.Since implementing infection control measures, the hospital has nearly eliminated methicillin resistant strains of staphylococcus (MRSA). Measures include an air ventilation system that uses ultraviolet light to kill germs, more time for maintenance staff to clean rooms, and more frequent hand washing by staff members.

Miller Children's and Women's Hospital Long Beach is a non-profit children's hospital located on the campus of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Miller Children's and Women's provides specialized pediatric care for infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21. The hospital also houses MemorialCare's women's services, providing maternity care to women across Southern California. The hospital has 357 beds.

Eastside or East Side has had two different meanings in the city of Long Beach, California. The first, and more current meaning, refers to an area roughly comprising the eastern half of the city, usually excluding areas south of the east–west line made by Pacific Coast Highway/Atherton Street. Wrigley is a group of neighborhoods in Long Beach, California. It includes the neighborhoods North Wrigley, South Wrigley, Southeast Wrigley and Wrigley Heights. Its name derives from William Wrigley Jr., the owner and founder of the famed Wrigley Spearmint Gum Empire in Chicago. It was one of the first communities established in Long Beach. With the exception of Wrigley Heights, the area is developed throughout on a gridiron street pattern.The district is bounded on the north by Interstate 405, on the south by Pacific Coast Highway, on the east by Long Beach Boulevard and on the west by the Los Angeles River. Pacific Avenue also goes through the area with commercial strip land uses. The Los Angeles River and the Interstate 710 make up the western boundary.The neighborhood has a community park, Veterans Park, convenient access to local freeways, A Line light rail transportation and the new Wrigley Marketplace shopping district - an innovative joint venture between Long Beach and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The center combines neighborhood-serving retail with a modern park and ride facility for light rail commuters.

Sunrise, also known as Sunrise Boulevard, is a neighborhood in the city of Long Beach, California. In 1990, the City of Long Beach by Ordinance C-6834 designated this neighborhood as the "Sunrise Boulevard Historic Landmark District."

Sunnyside Cemetery, is a cemetery established in 1906 in Long Beach, California. It is adjacent to Long Beach Municipal Cemetery. The cemetery encountered financial troubles in the 1990s when its owner, Dean A. Dempsey, stole over half the cemetery's endowment fund.

Long Beach Municipal Cemetery, is a cemetery established as early as 1901 and located at the northwest corner of Willow Street and Orange Avenue in Signal Hill, California. It is located next door, and east of Sunnyside Cemetery. It was formerly known as Long Beach Signal Hill Cemetery, and also known as Long Beach Cemetery.Many of the early pioneer families of the city are buried here. Burials include the first Long Beach city health official, W.L. Cuthbert; and the founder of Willmore City, William Erwin Willmore.

The Long Beach Oil Field is a large oil field underneath the cities of Long Beach and Signal Hill, California, in the United States. Discovered in 1921, the field was enormously productive in the 1920s, with hundreds of oil derricks covering Signal Hill and adjacent parts of Long Beach; largely due to the huge output of this field, the Los Angeles Basin produced one-fifth of the nation's oil supply during the early 1920s. In 1923 alone the field produced over 68 million barrels of oil, and in barrels produced by surface area, the field was the world's richest. The field is eighth-largest by cumulative production in California, and although now largely depleted, still officially retains around 5 million barrels of recoverable oil out of its original 950 million. 294 wells remained in operation as of the beginning of 2008, and in 2008 the field reported production of over 1.5 million barrels of oil. The field is currently run entirely by small independent oil companies, with the largest operator in 2009 being Signal Hill Petroleum, Inc.

Holy Innocents Catholic Church is a Catholic parish in Long Beach, California. It is a historic church in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Located on East 20th Street, Holy Innocents offers ad orientem Masses in English, Spanish, and traditional Latin. Founded in 1923, the parish has been home to several notable figures, including Venerable Mother María Luisa Josefa and Cardinal William Levada. Holy Innocents School is a Parochial School in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles that serves grades TK-12 and offers a Catholic classical liberal arts education.

Wardlow station is an at-grade light rail station on the A Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. The station is located on the A Line's exclusive right-of-way (the historic route of the Pacific Electric Railway) that parallels Pacific Place, at its intersection with Wardlow Street, after which the station is named, in the Wrigley neighborhood of Long Beach, California.The Willow and Wardlow stations are the two A Line stations closest to the Long Beach Airport. The A Line maintenance and storage yard is located between the Wardlow and Del Amo stations. [1]

The station is located in the median of Long Beach Boulevard at its intersection with Pacific Coast Highway, after which the station is named, in Long Beach, California.North of this station, A Line trains enter an exclusive right-of-way (the historic route of the Pacific Electric Railway) which allows trains to reach higher speeds between stops. A J Line station with an identical name is located approximately 5.4 miles (8.7 km) west of this station.
