Ginghamsburg Church is a multi-site United Methodist church located in Tipp City, Ohio, thirteen miles north of Dayton, Ohio. Dennis Miller became the Senior Pastor in August 2022.

Dayton International Airport (IATA: DAY, ICAO: KDAY, FAA LID: DAY) (officially James M. Cox Dayton International Airport, formerly Dayton Municipal Airport and James M. Cox-Dayton Municipal Airport) is 10 miles north of downtown Dayton, in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. The airport is in an exclave of the city of Dayton not contiguous with the rest of the city. Its address is 3600 Terminal Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45377. The airport is headquarters for American Eagle carrier PSA Airlines. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems called it a primary commercial service airport. Dayton International is the third busiest and third largest airport in Ohio behind Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and John Glenn Columbus International Airport. (While Cincinnati's airport is also busier, it is located in the neighboring state of Kentucky.) Dayton International Airport handled 2,607,528 passengers in 2012 and had 57,914 combined takeoffs and landings in 2012. Dayton ranked No. 76 in U.S. airport boardings in 2008. The airport has non-stop flights to 17 destinations.

The CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show is an annual event held at the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio, eight miles north of Dayton, Ohio. From 2013 to 2019, the show has been held on a weekend in late June. Prior to 2013, and again starting in 2021, it was held in mid-July each year. The history of this flight exhibition dates back to 1910 and the Wright Company. Dayton is the hometown of the Wright brothers and is where Orville and Wilbur built their first powered aircraft. The show's main sponsor is CenterPoint Energy and it is considered to be one of the country's premier aviation events. It was sponsored by Vectren until 2018. It is estimated that the 2010 Dayton Air Show attracted nearly 80,000 people and had a $5 million impact on the Dayton region's local economy. The 2012 show is estimated to have a $3 million impact on Dayton's economy. There was no air show in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show returned in July 2021.In 2023, an air show with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, The Flying Bulls, The Red Bull Team, and the F-22 Raptor Demo Team was held, along with a McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet of VFA-122, McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle of the 159th Fighter Wing, A B-25D "Rosie's Reply" of the Twelfth Air Force, 57th Bomb Wing, 340th Bombardment Group in the 489th Bomb Group, a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17, and a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.

Tipp City is a city in southern Miami County, Ohio, United States, just outside Dayton. The population was 10,274 at the 2020 census. Originally known as Tippecanoe, and then Tippecanoe City, it was renamed to Tipp City in 1938 because another town in Ohio was likewise named Tippecanoe. The city lies in the Miami Valley and sits along Interstate 75 near the Interstate 70 interchange. Tipp City is part of the Dayton metropolitan area.

Butler High School is a public high school in Vandalia, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. The school is the only high school in the Vandalia-Butler City Schools district. The school mascot is the aviator. Butler has been rated as "Excellent" since 2005 by the Ohio Department of Education. The school met all 12 of the state indicators for the 2005–2006 school year. As of 2019–20, they are a part of the Miami Division of the Miami Valley League (MVL) athletic conference.

Tadmor is an extinct town in Montgomery County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. Its location, 39°53′45″N 84°9′55″W, is now within the Vandalia city limits.

Vandalia is a city in Montgomery County, Ohio, United States, and a suburb of Dayton. Its population was 15,209 during the 2020 census. In addition to being the city closest to Dayton International Airport, Vandalia lies at the crossroads of I-75 and I-70.

Lost Creek is a stream located entirely within Miami County, Ohio, United States. The 17.4-mile (28.0 km) long stream is a tributary of the Great Miami River.According to tradition, Lost Creek was named for an Indian who was lost there.

Butler Township is one of the nine townships of Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,269.

West Charleston is an unincorporated community in western Bethel Township, Miami County, Ohio, United States. West Charleston was originally called Friendtown, and under the latter name was platted in 1807 by Charles Friend, and named for him. The present name is also derived from the name of the proprietor. A post office called West Charleston was established in 1829, and remained in operation until 1899.West Charleston lies astride State Route 202, earlier known as the North Miami Pike. The road was formed along the route cut through the area by George Rogers Clark in 1782 during his campaigns against the natives at Lower Piqua and Upper Piqua. It is also the route taken southward to Cincinnati by General "Mad Anthony" Wayne after the Battle of Fallen Timbers and the completion of the Treaty of Greenville. The community is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area.
