East Sheen Cemetery

The South African War Memorial is a First World War memorial in Richmond Cemetery in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, the memorial is in the form of a cenotaph, similar to that on Whitehall, also by Lutyens. It was commissioned by the South African Hospital and Comforts Fund Committee to commemorate the 39 South African soldiers who died of their wounds at a military hospital in Richmond Park during the First World War. The memorial was unveiled by General Jan Smuts in 1921 and was the focus of pilgrimages from South Africa through the 1920s and 1930s, after which it was largely forgotten until the 1980s when the Commonwealth War Graves Commission took responsibility for its maintenance. It has been a grade II listed building since 2012.

Christ's School is a Church of England secondary school, located in Richmond, London. It has the distinction of being the only Church of England secondary school in Richmond upon Thames. Around 670 pupils, between the ages of 11 and 19, attend the school. Christ's is located very near Richmond Park, one of London's largest parks.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Richmond is a Roman Catholic church in Sheen Road, Richmond, London. It serves the East Sheen parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark and, as it is close to Richmond's boundary with East Sheen, is often known as Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, East Sheen. It was the first church to be designed by architect F G (Frank) Broadbent (1909–1983) (of Goodhart-Rendel, Broadbent and Curtis). The foundation stone was laid in November 1953 by the Rt Reverend Monsignor Cyril Cowderoy, Roman Catholic Bishop of Southwark. The church opened on 9 May 1954 and was expanded in 1963. The consecration, by Archbishop Cyril Cowderoy, did not take place until June 1971. A new parish hall was built in 1992.The church became a parish in its own right in 1959. Its priest is Monsignor William Saunders.

Pesthouse Common, Richmond is an area of public open space on Queen's Road, Richmond in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is bordered by mature lime and horse chestnut trees and is managed by Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council to promote nature conservation.

Richmond Cemetery is a cemetery on Lower Grove Road in Richmond in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England. The cemetery opened in 1786 on a plot of land granted by an Act of Parliament the previous year. The cemetery has been expanded several times and now occupies a 15-acre (6-hectare) site which, prior to the expansion of London, was a rural area of Surrey. It is bounded to the east by Richmond Park and to the north by East Sheen Cemetery, with which it is now contiguous and whose chapel is used for services by both cemeteries. Richmond cemetery originally contained two chapels—one Anglican and one Nonconformist—both built in the Gothic revival style, but both are now privately owned and the Nonconformist chapel today falls outside the cemetery walls after a redrawing of its boundaries. Many prominent people are buried in the cemetery, as are 39 soldiers who died at the South African Hospital in Richmond Park during the First World War and many ex-servicemen from the nearby Royal Star and Garter Home. These residents are commemorated by the Bromhead Memorial, which lists the names of those who are not commemorated elsewhere, while the South African soldiers are commemorated by a cenotaph designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, derived from his design of the Cenotaph on Whitehall in central London. The war graves and the cenotaph are the responsibility of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

The Bromhead Memorial is a memorial and grade II listed building in Richmond Cemetery in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It denotes a plot in the cemetery in which deceased residents of the nearby Royal Star and Garter Home are buried, and lists the names of those who are not commemorated elsewhere.

Grove Gardens Chapel is a Grade II listed building in Richmond Old Cemetery, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was built in 1877 by Sir Arthur Blomfield in the Gothic Revival style as the Anglican chapel for the cemetery. It is currently in the care of Habitats & Heritage.

East Sheen Common, also known as Sheen Common, is an area of public open space in East Sheen in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is adjacent to Richmond Park and separated from it by a brick wall which forms the park's boundary. A gate, Bog Gate, provides pedestrian access between the park and the common. East Sheen Common is owned by The National Trust. It is currently leased to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council. East Sheen Common covers 18.60 hectares (45.96 acres), consisting of woodland, a cricket field, tennis courts and a bowling green, and is a surviving, small, part of the local common land that pre-existed the creation of Richmond Park.Sheen Park Cricket Club play matches on East Sheen Common's cricket field, which is also a venue for Ibstock Place School cricket matches.A new woodland play area and nature trail opened at East Sheen Common in 2021. Equipment installed in the play area includes a rope tunnel, trapeze rings, an accessible wide slide, a hammock, a large raised play deck, and swings.

North Sheen railway station is in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, in southwest London, and is in Travelcard Zone 3. The station, on the eastern edge of Richmond, is named after the North Sheen area which, in 1965, was absorbed by Kew. It is 9 miles 3 chains (14.5 km) down the line from London Waterloo. It was opened by the Southern Railway on 6 July 1930. The station and all trains serving it are now operated by South Western Railway. North Sheen station serves the area between Mortlake and Richmond stations on the South Western Railway main line rail service.

Church Estate Almshouses are Grade II listed almshouses in Richmond, London, located on Sheen Road, near Hickey's Almshouses. Most of the buildings, which were designed by William Crawford Stow, date from 1843 but the charity that built them is known to have existed in Queen Mary I's time and may have much earlier origins. A further eight almshouses, in addition to the original ten, were built in 1968.The almshouses are now managed by The Richmond Charities. New residents are accepted from 65 years of age.

East Sheen Filling Station is a petrol service station at 567 Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen, London SW14 in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It dates from about 1926. In 2012 Historic England designated it as a Grade II listed building, citing it as "one of the earliest surviving examples of a purpose-built filling station" and "a pioneering UK instance of an 'American-style' filling station, with canopy and office under a single roof".

King's House School is a private day preparatory school in Richmond, London. Founded in 1946, it has 450 pupils aged between 3 and 13.
