WMBX

WKGR (98.7 FM) is a classic rock station licensed to Wellington, Florida and serving the West Palm Beach market. Owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., it transmits at 100,000 watts effective radiated power with an antenna height above average terrain of 299 meters (981 feet). WKGR's signal can be picked up as far north as Melbourne, as far west as Moore Haven, and usually no further south than highway 595 in Fort Lauderdale. Its transmitter is located on the west side of Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound. Also sharing WKGR's transmitter tower are stations WIRK (which itself was a primary competitor of WKGR before moving its rock programming to an HD Radio subchannel) and WMBX. WKGR previously simulcast the programming of sister station WJNO on its HD2 subchannel starting in September 2010; by 2013 this was replaced with the signal of Christian rock station WREH. WKGR later went to classic country on HD2, and in 2019, dropped its HD2 subchannel. Then on January 19, 2021, WKGR brought back its HD2 subchannel with its original programming, simulcasting WJNO. A few weeks later, sister station WBZT began simulcasting on its HD2 subchannel, with WJNO moving to the HD2 subchannel of sister station WLDI. As of December 2023, the WJNO simulcast returned to the HD2 subchannel.

It is inside Jonathan Dickinson State Park at 16450 Southeast Federal Highway. On October 3, 2006, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a Florida State Park and historic site located in Martin County, Florida, between Hobe Sound and Tequesta. The park includes the Elsa Kimbell Environmental Education and Research Center and a variety of natural habitats: sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, mangroves, and river swamps. The Loxahatchee River, designated a National Wild and Scenic River in 1985 (the first in Florida), runs through the park. The park is also along the Ocean to Lake Trail. The park is at 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound. The park is well known for its Camp Murphy Mountain Bike Trails.

The United States Army Signal Corps established Camp Murphy, a top-secret radar training school in 1942. Camp Murphy was located between Stuart and Jupiter in what is now Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Martin County in southeastern Florida.

The Olympia School, also known as the Picture City School, the Hobe Sound White School, the Apollo Street School and now the Apollo School, is an historic two-room elementary school building located at 9141 Southeast Apollo Street in Hobe Sound, Martin County, Florida. On December 20, 2002, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The school closed in 1963 upon the opening of the Hobe Sound Elementary School on Gomez Avenue. The building is in the process of being restored by the Apollo School Foundation, Inc.
