Lake Ridge High School

Mansfield High School is a public secondary school located at 3001 East Broad Street in Mansfield, Texas. Part of the Mansfield Independent School District, the school serves a portion of Mansfield. As of 2018, the school had 2,688 students. Mansfield High School is known for their baseball and golf sports programs. As well as being the last school district in the country to desegregate, and only doing so when the national guard was brought to escort the first 3 African American students into the building.

Lake Ridge is a lake-view, master planned development in Dallas' southwest suburbs near Joe Pool Lake. Lake Ridge is located in the cities of Cedar Hill and Grand Prairie. Most of the homes in Lake Ridge are custom built and are on large lots which are often wooded and sit on a hill. Lake ridge is divided into three individual gated and non-gated neighborhoods: Sanctuary, Summit, and Preserve.

Mansfield Timberview High School (THS) is a secondary school located in Arlington, Texas, United States. It is a Mansfield Independent School District campus. Its mascot is the wolf. Timberview High School was named an AVID National Demonstration School in 2016 and an AVID School-wide Site of Distinction in 2017. The school serves sections of Arlington, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie. Timberview serves several communities, including Lake Port Village.

Lynn Creek is a creek in Tarrant County, Texas. The creek rises in south Arlington, and runs to the east, through the Lynn Creek Linear Park, passing under Texas State Highway 360 before meeting Joe Pool Lake near Grand Prairie.

Cedar Hill State Park is located on FM 1382 and the eastern shore of Joe Pool Lake in Cedar Hill, Texas (USA), ten miles southwest of Dallas. The park was acquired in 1982 and was opened in 1991. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department operates the 1,826-acre (739 ha) park.Cedar Hill State Park has two available camping areas, a boat ramp, a small picnic area, and two fishing jetties.

Mansfield is a suburban city in the U.S. state of Texas, and is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex area. The city is located mostly in Tarrant County, with small parts in Ellis and Johnson counties. Its location is approximately 30 miles from Dallas and 20 miles from Fort Worth, and is adjacent to Arlington. As of the 2010 census, the population was 56,368, up from 28,031 in 2000. The estimated population in 2020 is 73,550.

Walnut Creek is a creek in North Texas. The creek rises to the northeast of Keene in Johnson County, flowing to the Tarrant County near Mansfield. The creek runs to the northeast, forming the border between Dallas and Grand Prairie. The mouth of the creek is west of Duncanville where it meets Mountain Creek.

Juan Seguin High School is a secondary school serving grades 9–12 located in Arlington, Texas and is part of the Arlington Independent School District. The school serves approximately 1,600 students.

Joe Pool Lake is a fresh water impoundment (reservoir) located in the southern part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in North Texas. The lake encompasses parts of Tarrant, Dallas and Ellis counties. The lake measures 7,740 acres (31.3 km2) with a conservation storage capacity of 176,900 acre-feet (218,200,000 m3). With a maximum depth of 75 feet (23 m) the lake drains an area of 232 square miles (601 km2). Joe Pool Lake was named after Joe R. Pool, a Congressman-At-Large from the Oak Cliff area of Dallas who represented this area as well as the rest of the state of Texas from 1963 until his death in 1968. Pool was highly influential in the passage of legislation and funding of the lake. The project to build Joe Pool Lake initiated by a promise made in 1960[1] by Kennedy-Johnson Natural Resources Advisory Committee member Joe Pool[2] and was carried out, after Pool's death in 1968, by a citizens committee called the Lakeview (Joe Pool) Planning Council. Pool's project was approved by Congress in 1965 and was known as Lakeview Reservoir until 1982 when president Ronald W. Reagan signed a bill to rename the lake to Joe Pool Lake. Actual construction began in 1977, bridge work was finished in 1981, with lake completion in December 1985. Impoundment of water began in January 1986 and the lake was filled by June 1989. After 60 years, through the sheer determination of Joe Pool, his congressional friends and the many members of the Lakeview (Joe Pool) Planning Council, Pool's promise of flood control for the Mountain/Walnut Creek watershed was made good to the affected property owners. "On May 24, 1986 with the lake approximately half full and still several years away from being open to the public, a ceremony was held to dedicate the new Joe Pool Lake. 1,500 people attended including U.S. Democratic Majority Leader Jim Wright, who among others, had helped keep the project alive through the years. There was food, music, cannons, and speeches. Joe Pool would have been proud to be there."

This also makes Dallas the largest media market with a "Big Four" station (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox) that is not owned by that respective network. It is also the only station among the Big Four in the Dallas–Fort Worth market that is not network-owned and operated.

It is owned and operated by the network's Fox Television Stations division alongside MyNetworkTV station KDFI (channel 27, also licensed to Dallas). Both stations share studios on North Griffin Street in downtown Dallas, while KDFW's transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas.

It is owned and operated by Fox Television Stations alongside Fox outlet KDFW (channel 4, also licensed to Dallas). Both stations share studios on North Griffin Street in downtown Dallas, while KDFI's transmitter is located in Cedar Hill, Texas.
