The town of Crafers is in the Adelaide Hills to the south-east of Adelaide, South Australia, considered to be an outer suburb of Adelaide.

5MMM (identified on air and in print as Triple M) is a radio station broadcasting in Adelaide, Australia. Its target demographic is the 30-54 age group. Triple M Adelaide is part of Southern Cross Austereo's Triple M Network and broadcasts on the 104.7 MHz frequency. Triple M Adelaide has in the past simply networked the majority of its shows from its Sydney and Melbourne counterpart stations, but since 2011 it has focussed more on local content.

The District Council of Stirling was a local government area of South Australia from 1883 to 1997, seated at Stirling.

Stirling is a town in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, approximately 15 km from the Adelaide city centre. It is administered by the Adelaide Hills Council. Neighbouring townships are Crafers and Aldgate. Other nearby towns are Heathfield and Bridgewater. Of those five, Stirling has by far the largest commercial strip, with the greatest number and widest variety of shops, and the only banks. Stirling East, a similar sized area towards Aldgate, is home to several schools.

The Mount Lofty Fire Tower sits on top of Mount Lofty in the Adelaide Hills just to the east of the city of Adelaide, South Australia. The 34m high tower has a commanding view over a huge area of the rural areas surrounding Adelaide, and on a clear day the view can extend to as far as Kangaroo Island to the southwest, Monarto to the east, the Fleurieu Peninsula to the south, and the grassy plains beyond Two Wells to the north. The tower is used to spot fires in the Adelaide Hills and surrounds on days of very high or extreme fire danger during summer. The spotting crew determine the location of a smoke sighting by taking a bearing and then calculating distance using topographic maps. Details of the sighting are then passed to the 'Adelaide Fire' Communications Centre who despatch the nearest fire brigade.

Mount Lofty Railway Station is located on the Adelaide-Wolseley line and served the Adelaide Hills suburb of Stirling. It is located 19+1⁄4 miles (31.0 km) from Adelaide station.

Piccadilly is a small town in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Australia. At the 2006 census, Piccadilly had a population of 509.The Piccadilly Valley was for many decades a market gardening centre which produced food for the Adelaide and overseas market. A large part of the valley is now used for growing premium 'cool climate' grape varieties. Piccadilly is home to the Woodhouse Scout Centre, which in addition to scout jamborees hosts school camps and various outdoor activities.

Woorabinda Bushland Reserves, formerly known as the Stirling Linear Park, is a 34 ha network of four parks and reserves located in the suburbs of Stirling and Heathfield in the Mount Lofty Ranges, South Australia. The parks are part of the Aldgate Creek catchment which feeds into the Onkaparinga River. 4 km of walking trails connect Stirling Park and Woorabinda to Madurta and Hender Reserves, all of which are open to the general public. The parks contain notable natural and early European heritage value and a network of interpretive signage provides information to park visitors.

Mount Bonython (34°58′S 138°42′E, 677 m (2,221 ft) above sea level) is one of two major peaks in the Adelaide Hills visible from Adelaide. The other, about a kilometre to the south and some 50 m higher, is Mount Lofty. Mount Bonython is named after Sir John Langdon Bonython and was previously known simply as Little Mount. There is a telecommunications tower used for the Telstra NextG network located at its summit.According to the mythology of the indigenous Kaurna people, the Mount Lofty Ranges were part of the story of the ancestor-creator Nganno. Nganno travelled across the land of the Kaurna and after being wounded in a battle, lay down to die and formed the Mount Lofty Ranges. The current name of the Greater Mount Lofty Parklands, Yurrebilla, is taken from the Kaurna name for the twin hills of Mount Lofty and Mount Bonython, which are supposed to be Nganno's ears.

Mount Lofty (34°58′S 138°42′E, elevation 727 m (2,385 ft) AHD) is the highest point in the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. It is located about 15 km (9.3 mi) east of the Adelaide city centre, within the Cleland National Park in the Adelaide Hills area of South Australia. Mount Lofty Summit has panoramic views of the city and the Adelaide plains to the west, and of the Picadilly Valley to the east. It is also popular destination for international tourists, as well as for cyclists coming up the old Mount Barker Road through Eagle on the Hill, and for walkers from Waterfall Gully.
