Johnson House (514 East 8th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas)

The Johnson House is a historic house at 516 East 8th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story American Foursquare house, with a hip roof that has a projecting cross-gable section at the front. A single-story porch extends across the front, supported by Tuscan columns. The house was built about 1900 to a design by the noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson, and is one of a group of three similar houses intended as rental properties.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

St. Edwards Church is a historic Roman Catholic church at 801 Sherman Street in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Built in 1901, it is a handsome Gothic Revival structure, built out of brick with stone trim. A pair of buttressed towers flank a central gabled section, with entrance in each of the three parts set in Gothic-arched openings. A large rose window stands above the center entrance below the gable, where there is a narrow Gothic-arched louver. Designed by Charles L. Thompson, it is the most academically formal example of the Gothic Revival in his portfolio of work.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Pike–Fletcher–Terry House, also known as just the Terry Mansion and now the Community Gallery at the Terry House, is a historic house at 8th and Rock Streets in central Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a large two-story Greek Revival building, whose grounds occupy the western end of a city block bounded by Rock, 8th, and 7th Streets. Its most prominent feature is its north-facing six-column Greek temple portico. The house was built in 1840 for Albert Pike, a leading figure in Arkansas' territorial and early state history. It has also been home to John Fletcher, a prominent Little Rock businessman and American Civil War veteran, and David D. Terry, Fletcher's son-in-law and also a prominent Arkansas politician. It was then home to prominent philanthropist and political activist Adolphine Fletcher Terry. She and her sister Mary Fletcher Drennan willed the family mansion to the city, for use by the nearby Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. It has been a municipal building since 1964. It served as the Arkansas Decorative Arts Center from 1985 to 2003.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.The Pike–Fletcher–Terry House is currently closed. There is ongoing litigation between the City of Little Rock, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and the Terry heirs.

The Nash House is a historic house at 409 East 6th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a hip roof and weatherboard siding. The main facade is divided in two, the right half recessed to create a porch on the right side, supported by a pair of two-story Ionic column. The roof has an extended eave with modillions, and a hip-roof dormer projects to the front, with an elaborate three-part window. The house was designed by Charles L. Thompson and built about 1907.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Nash House is a historic house at 601 Rock Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a side-gable roof and clapboard siding. A two-story gabled section projects on the right side of the main facade, and the left side has a two-story flat-roof porch, with large fluted Ionic columns supporting an entablature and dentillated and modillioned eave. Designed by Charles L. Thompson and built in 1907, it is a fine example of a modestly scaled Colonial Revival property. Another house that Thompson designed for Walter Nash stands nearby.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Tower Building of the Little Rock Arsenal, also known as the Main Building of the U.S. Arsenal at Little Rock, or Headquarters Building of the Little Rock Barracks, is the home of the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. It is also a part of the MacArthur Park Historic District, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built between 1840 and 1841, it was part of Little Rock's first U.S. military installation. Since decommissioning, the building has housed two local museums. It was home to the Arkansas Museum of Natural History and Antiquities from 1942 to 1997 and the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History since 2001. It has also housed the Little Rock Æsthetic Club since 1894. The building receives its name from its distinct octagonal tower. Besides being the last remaining structure of the original U.S. military installation and one of the oldest buildings in central Arkansas, it was also the birthplace of General Douglas MacArthur, who became the supreme commander of U.S. forces in the South Pacific during World War II. It was also the starting place of the Camden Expedition during the American Civil War.

The Memorial to Company A, Capitol Guards was an American Civil War memorial in MacArthur Park, Little Rock, Arkansas. It stood just northeast of the former Tower Building of the Little Rock Arsenal, at a junction of two of the park's internal roadways. It consisted of a bronze sculpture depicting a Confederate Army soldier in a defensive stance, holding a rifle pointed forward. The statue was 8 feet (2.4 m) in height, and was mounted in a granite column 16 feet (4.9 m) tall. The memorial was sometimes known as "Lest we forget", a line that appeared near the top of the inscription on the base. The statue was created by sculptor Rudolph Schwarz, and was installed in 1911; it was paid for by the local chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and memorializes the unit that seized the arsenal at the outset of the war.The memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, and was delisted in 2021. The statue was removed in June 2020 following the George Floyd protests.

Trapnall Hall is a historic house at 423 East Capitol Avenue in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1843 for lawyer Frederic Trapnall; one of Arkansas's finest examples of pre-Civil War Greek Revival architecture. It is a single-story brick building, with a hip roof and a projecting temple portico supported by square columns. The building is now owned by the state, which uses it as an venue for public and private events.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Curran Hall, also known as the Walters-Curran-Bell House, is a historic house at 615 East Capitol Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1842 for Colonel Ebenezer Walters. The single story house is built in the Greek Revival style with Doric pilasters at the entrance way. Two auxiliary buildings, constructed at about the same time as the main building, were moved and attached to the rear of the house in 1891.The house is significant as one of the few remaining antebellum era landmarks in Little Rock. It served as the home of pre-Civil war Arkansas Supreme Court Justice George Watkins. Jacob Frolich purchased the home after the war, who would become a post-reconstruction Arkansas Secretary of State. Before that, however, Frolich, an opponent of the reconstruction Arkansas government and fearful of reprisals, fortified Curran Hall with trap doors and placed his livestock inside the house at night. Frolich was indicted for the murder of a reputed informant for the reconstruction government and fled to Canada, but later returned and was acquitted of the charge.In 1976, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It was acquired by the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission in 1996, renovated, and opened as an information center in 2002.

The MacArthur Park Historic District encompasses a remarkably well-preserved collection of Victorian buildings in the heart of Little Rock, Arkansas. The main focal point of the district is MacArthur Park, site of the Tower Building of the Little Rock Arsenal and Little Rock's 19th-century military arsenal. The district extends north and west from the park for about four blocks, to East Capitol Avenue in the north and Scott Street to the west, and extends south, beyond Interstate 630, to East 17th Street. This area contains some of the city's finest surviving antebellum and late Victorian architecture, including an particularly large number (19) of Second Empire houses, and achieved its present form roughly by the 1880s. The MacArthur Park Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Cumberland Towers are a residential apartment highrise at 311 East 8th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1974, it is an eleven-story skyscraper, with a steel frame clad in stuccoed brick, housing 178 residential units. It was designed by Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson for the city as public senior housing, it exemplifies a design principle espoused by Le Corbusier known as the "tower in a park", with a large landscaped green area surrounding the building.The apartments were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
