Kampong Java

Masjid Tasek Utara (Jawi: مسجد البحيرة الشمالية) is a mosque located in Farrer Park within the North-East Region, Singapore. First built in 1907, it is adjacent to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

The Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (Abbreviation: SIFAS) is an organisation that teaches Indian classical arts, including Indian classical music, in Singapore.

Farrer Park United was a soccer club from Singapore. The team won Singapore's National Football League (NFL) in 1982, and the President's Cup in 1981 and 1983.The club played at the Farrer Park Field as their home stadium.

East Asia School of Theology (EAST; Chinese: 东亞神学院) is a theological school established in Singapore by Campus Crusade for Christ International as a legal division of Cru Asia Ltd. in 1992, with the stated purpose of developing and equipping Christian leaders for evangelical duties in East Asia.

Farrer Park Field (known formerly as Farrer Park) is an open field managed by Sport Singapore in Kallang, Singapore. It was the location of Singapore's first race course, Serangoon Road Race Course, as well as where its first-ever aircraft landing took place in 1919. It is a significant location for Singapore's aviation, sporting and political histories.

The Tanglin Police Division (or 'E' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. Tanglin Division oversees the safety and security of the central region in Singapore. The division's policing jurisdiction covers several areas which include residential estates, schools, hospitals, hotels, embassies, as well as iconic buildings such as the Istana and the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation. The division is also responsible for upholding law and order in popular retail and entertainment districts such as Orchard Road and Clarke Quay. The Tanglin Division Headquarters was formerly located at 17 Napier Road and the building was officially opened on 3 June 1981 by then Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Chua Sian Chin. As part of continual efforts to modernise the Force, Tanglin Division Headquarters was relocated on 6 May 2001 to its current premises at 21 Kampong Java Road.

KK Women's and Children's Hospital (abbreviation: KKH) is the largest hospital specialising in healthcare for women and children in Singapore, located at 100 Bukit Timah Road in Kampong Java, within the planning area of Kallang.From its humble beginnings as a small general hospital in 1858 to a 30-bed maternity hospital in 1924, KKH has grown into an 830-bed hospital providing obstetric and gynaecology, neonatology and paediatric services. Often affectionally referred to as "KK" amongst locals, it is the birthplace of a sizeable proportion of Singaporeans, delivering over half of total newborns in the country as early as 1938. In 1966, the hospital entered the Guinness Book of Records for delivering the highest number of newborns within a single maternity facility for that year, and it continued to hold on to this record for a full decade, delivering 85% of the population.In March 1997, the hospital moved to its present site. In 2003, the old premises was marked as a historical site by the National Heritage Board, a tribute to an institution that has been the birthplace of over 1.2 million Singaporeans since its inception.

Farrer Park MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station along the North East line, located on the boundary of Kallang and Rochor planning areas, Singapore. It is one of the two stations that serve the ethnic district of Little India. The station sits underneath the Connexion building, an integrated hospital (Farrer Park Hospital) and hotel complex (One Farrer Hotel). Farrer Park was named after John Farrer, who was President of the Municipal Commissioners from 1919 to 1931.

The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hall is a building on Race Course Lane in Little India, Singapore. Officially opened in 1953 in honour of Mahatma Gandhi, it housed the Singapore Indian Development Association in the 1990s. Beginning in 2008, it was occupied by The Hindi Society.

The 2013 Little India riot took place on 8 December 2013 after a fatal accident occurred at SST 21:23 at the junction of Race Course Road and Hampshire Road in Little India, Singapore, causing angry mobs of passersby to attack the bus involved and emergency vehicles that had by then arrived at the location. About 300 migrant labourers were involved in the riot which lasted for around two hours. This was the second riot in post-independence Singapore, and the first in 44 years since the 1969 race riots.

The collapse of the Hotel New World (Chinese: 新世界酒店倒塌事件; Malay: Runtuhnya Hotel New World; Tamil: நியூ வர்ல்டு விடுதி சம்பவம் Niyū Varlţu Vituthi Campavam) occurred on 15 March 1986, and was Singapore's deadliest civil disaster since the Spyros disaster on 12 October 1978. The six-storey building situated at the junction of Serangoon Road and Owen Road rapidly collapsed, trapping 50 people beneath the rubble. Seventeen people were rescued and 33 people died.
