St. Teresa's Secondary School

St Thomas' School is a co-educational kindergarten to higher secondary school in Kidderpore, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1789, making it one of the oldest schools in India and has the largest campus in Kolkata.It has three football size fields, two basketball courts and children's playgrounds. The campus also houses the St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology and has a church known as St. Stephen's Church. There are two schools and an engineering college and a non-formal technical training centre. St. Thomas' boys' and girls' schools are the two schools here. The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISC), which conducts the ICSE (Grade 10) and ISC (Grade 12) examinations over the country.

The Zoological Garden, Alipore (also informally called the Alipore Zoo or Kolkata Zoo) is India's oldest formally stated zoological park (as opposed to royal and British menageries) and a big tourist attraction in Kolkata, West Bengal. It has been open as a zoo since 1876, and covers 18.811 ha (46.48 acres). It is probably best known as the home of the Aldabra giant tortoise Adwaita, who was reputed to have been over 250 years old when he died in 2006. It is also home to one of the few captive breeding projects involving the Manipur brow-antlered deer. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Kolkata, it draws huge crowds during the winter season, especially during December and January. The highest attendance till date was on January 1, 2018 with 110,000 visitors.

Taj Bengal is an Indian luxury hotel in Kolkata, operated by the Taj Hotels and designed by American architect Bob Fox. The hotel was inaugurated on 10 October 1989 by Jyoti Basu, who was then the Chief Minister of West Bengal. The hotel was constructed at a cost of ₹45 crore (US$39.58 million) and took nearly five years to be completed due to protests that the hotel would disturb the migratory habits of the birds visiting the adjacent Alipore Zoo.The hotel has 200 rooms and 29 suites, with terracotta statuary and palm-covered atrium lobby. The National Library of India is a library located in Belvedere Estate, Alipore, Kolkata, India. It is India's largest library by volume and public record. The National Library is under Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Currently, Dr. Prof. Ajay Pratap Singh working as Director General (additional) who is Director General of Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata since 2020. The library is designated to collect, disseminate and preserve printed material produced within India. With a collection in excess of 2.2 million books and records, it is the largest in the country. Before independence, it was the official residence of Governor-General of India. The National Library is a result of the merging of the public library with the Imperial Library—several government libraries. The National Library (1953), then the Imperial Library housed several foreign (British) and Indian titles and was open to the public. It collects book, periodicals, and titles in virtually all the Indian languages while the special collections in the National Library of India house at least fifteen languages. The Hindi department has books that date back all the way to the nineteenth century and the first ever books printed in that language. The collections break down and consist of 86,000 maps and 3,200 manuscripts.
