The Center for Studies of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities (Norwegian: Senter for studier av Holocaust og livssynsminoriteter, or HL-senteret) is a Norwegian research institution. It is organised as an independent foundation and is an affiliated institute of the University of Oslo.

Bygdøy Church (Norwegian: Bygdøy kirke) is a church that was built in a fan plan in 1968 on the peninsula of Bygdøy in Oslo, Norway. It replaced the Bygdøy chapel, which burned ten years earlier.The church, which is located on a hill, is made of white painted concrete and has large sloping ceilings and a separate bell tower with two church bells, created by Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry. The number of seats is about 200. The building contains also a sacristy, baptistry lounge and kitchen in the basement. The church was designed by architect Finn Bryn.The altarpiece is a glass mosaic with metal and a gold-plated field created by Veslemøy Nystedt Stoltenberg in 1995. There is a large cross that is made of brass with turquoise, molded pieces of vitreous enamel at the side wall. The pulpit and the baptismal font are designed by the architect. The church has a church organ with 15 voices. To the west are copper doors with reliefs, created by Ørnulf Bast.The church is listed and protected by law by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Bygdøy or Bygdø is a peninsula situated on the western side of Oslo, Norway. Administratively, Bygdøy is part of the borough of Frogner. It historically was part of Aker Municipality and became part of Oslo in 1948. Bygdøy is a popular recreation area and is among the most fashionable residential areas in Norway, where the most expensive properties in the entire country are found. Bygdøy is also the home of five national museums as well as a royal estate. Wealthy families of Christiania acquired country houses in Bygdøy during the 18th and 19th centuries; by the 19th century Bygdøy had become a favourite of the wealthy in the capital region and was exclusively settled by the wealthy and their servants.

The Viking Ship Museum (Norwegian: Vikingskipshuset på Bygdøy) is located on the Bygdøy peninsula in Oslo, Norway. It will be temporarily closed from September 2021 until 2025/2026.It is part of the Museum of Cultural History of the University of Oslo, and houses three Viking era burial ships that were found as part of archaeological finds from Tune, Gokstad (Sandefjord), Oseberg (Tønsberg) and the Borre mound cemetery.

The Oseberg ship (Norwegian: Osebergskipet) is a well-preserved Viking ship discovered in a large burial mound at the Oseberg farm near Tønsberg in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. This ship is commonly acknowledged to be among the finer artifacts to have survived from the Viking Age. The ship and some of its contents are displayed at the Viking Ship Museum at Bygdøy on the western side of Oslo, Norway.Excavation of the ship from the Oseberg burial mound (Norwegian: Oseberghaugen ved Slagen from the Old Norse word haugr meaning kurgan mound or barrow) was undertaken by Swedish archaeologist Gabriel Gustafson and Norwegian archaeologist Haakon Shetelig in 1904–1905. The grave also contained two female human skeletons as well as a considerable number of grave goods. Scientific dating of the ship suggests it was buried no earlier than 834, although certain parts of its structure date from as early as 800, while other parts may be even older.

Dyna Lighthouse (Norwegian: Dyna fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located on a reef south of Bygdøy, in the Oslofjord in the municipality of Oslo, Norway. It was established in 1875, and automated in 1956. In 1992 the lighthouse was renovated as a private banqueting facility, available for parties of 20-40 persons from Easter to Christmas.

Gol Stave Church (Norwegian: Gol stavkyrkje) is a stave church originally from Gol in the traditional region of Hallingdal in Buskerud county, Norway. The reconstructed church is now a museum and is now located in the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History at Bygdøy in Oslo, Norway.

Bygdøy Royal Estate (Norwegian: Bygdøy kongsgård), also known as the Bygdø Royal Farm, is a Kongsgård estate and manor house that occupies a large part of the northwestern part of the Bygdøy peninsula in Oslo, Norway. It is the official summer residence of the King of Norway.

Norsk Folkemuseum (Norwegian Museum of Cultural History), at Bygdøy, Oslo, Norway, is a museum of cultural history with extensive collections of artifacts from all social groups and all regions of the country. It also incorporates a large open-air museum with more than 150 buildings, relocated from towns and rural districts.The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History is situated on the Bygdøy peninsula near several other museums, including the Viking Ship Museum; the Fram Museum; the Kon-Tiki Museum; and the Norwegian Maritime Museum.

The Norwegian Pharmacy Museum (Norsk Farmasihistorisk Museum) is located on Bygdøy in Oslo, Norway. It is operated in cooperation with the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.The Norwegian Pharmacy Museum was established in 1963 and opened in 1974. The purpose of the museum is to preserve pharmaceutical history. It exhibits items, inventory and literature collected from throughout Norway. The collection holds more than 19,000 items. The pharmacy museum is housed in a former private residence (Generalitetsgården) from Christiania dating to 1714. The house was demolished in 1918 and subsequently rebuilt at the Norwegian Folk Museum at Bygdøy. While the corner rooms in the first and second floor have been preserved from the original building, a public area from Apoteket Hjorten in Oslo has also been reconstructed in the building, illustrating an urban pharmacy from the 1860s. In 1982, a herbal garden was added to the museum, showcasing about 160 different herbs, trees and shrubs used in the preparation of traditional remedies or mentioned in Old Norse myths and legends.
