National Applied Research Laboratories

The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST; Chinese: 科技部; pinyin: Kējìbù; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kho-ki-pō͘) is the government ministry of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the promotion and funding of academic research, development of science and technology and science parks. MOST is a member of Belmont Forum.

St. John's Episcopal Cathedral (Chinese: 聖約翰座堂; pinyin: Shèngyuēhàn Zuòtáng; Wade–Giles: Shêng4-yüeh1-han4 tso4-tʽang2) is the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Taiwan, a diocese of the Episcopal Church of the United States, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The cathedral church is located at No. 280, Second Section, Fuhsing South Road, Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan. A large building in southern Taipei, it was built in 1955 by Chinese Anglicans who had fled mainland China in 1949 after the Chinese Communist Revolution. It was elevated to a cathedral when the Diocese of Taiwan was established in 1961–1962. The annex was added in 1963.

National Taipei University of Education (NTUE; Chinese: 國立臺北教育大學) is a university located in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan that predominantly focuses on teacher training. It was established in 1895, at the beginning of the Japanese colonial rule of Taiwan, as the Governor-General's Taihoku Teacher's College.

The Intellectual Property Office (TIPO; Chinese: 經濟部智慧財產局; pinyin: Jīngjìbù Zhìhuì Cáichǎnjú) is the patent, trademark, and copyright office of Taiwan. It operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). As of July 2011, TIPO had a staff of 734 persons, with more than half of them handling patent matters.

The Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau (TANEEB; traditional Chinese: 交通部臺灣區國道新建工程局; simplified Chinese: 交通部台湾区国道新建工程局; pinyin: Jiāotōng Bù Táiwān Qū Guódào Xīnjiàn Gōngchéng Jú) was the organization under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Republic of China in charge for the planning, land acquisition, bidding and construction of national expressway network in Taiwan.

The Maritime and Port Bureau (MPB; Chinese: 航港局; pinyin: Hánggǎng Jú) is the port authority under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Republic of China (Taiwan) responsible for building a quality environment for the maritime industry, reinforce maritime capabilities for higher competitiveness, implement national maritime policies, maintain order and safety at sea and cultivate maritime human resources in Taiwan.

The Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics (also known as the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics, abbreviated as ASIAA or IAA. Chinese: 中央研究院天文及天文物理研究所) is a research institute of the national academy of Taiwan, Academia Sinica. ASIAA is currently located in the Astronomy and Mathematics Building at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan and also has a field office in Hilo, Hawaii. ASIAA was officially established on June 1, 2010, with Paul Ho being the first director.

The Wang Yun-wu Memorial Hall (traditional Chinese: 王雲五紀念館; simplified Chinese: 王云五纪念馆; pinyin: Wáng Yúnwǔ Jìniànguǎn) is a memorial hall in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan, dedicated to Wang Yun-wu, the former Vice Premier of the Republic of China.

Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei (Chinese: 香格里拉台北遠東國際大飯店) is a five-star luxury hotel located in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is managed by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. The hotel has 420 rooms and suites and opened in December 1994.Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei has received many distinguished guests in the past, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, Hollywood movie stars Tom Cruise and Pierce Brosnan, action hero Jackie Chan, as well as directors Ang Lee and John Woo.

The Far Eastern Plaza (Chinese: 遠企中心辦公大樓; pinyin: Yuǎn qǐ zhōngxīn bàngōng dàlóu) is a set of twin skyscrapers located in Daan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The buildings are each 165 m (541 ft) in height 41 floors above the ground. The towers, designed by the Taiwanese architect Chu-Yuan Lee and the P&T Group, were completed in 1994 and were among the earliest skyscrapers in Taipei.The south tower mainly contains offices whilst the north tower houses Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei. It is managed by the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. It has a total of 420 rooms and is one of the top luxury hotels in Taipei. This is Shangri-La's only second base in Taiwan (the other building is Shangri-La's Far Eastern International Hotel, Tainan), which has won many awards. In recent years, it has won a medal from the Environmental Protection Administration for energy conservation and environmental protection. The Mall at Far Eastern Plaza opened in 1994 and currently houses the citysuper retail chain as well as Muji.

The Taipei Main Public Library (Chinese: 臺北市立圖書館; pinyin: Táiběi Shìlì Túshūguǎn) is the central library of Taipei City, Taiwan. It is the main library of the Taipei Public Library System. The building is located in Jianguo South Road, Da'an District, near the Daan Forest Park.

The Association for Tourism Exchange Across the Taiwan Straits (ATETS; simplified Chinese: 海峡两岸旅游交流协会; traditional Chinese: 海峽兩岸旅遊交流協會; pinyin: Hǎixiá Liǎng'àn Lǚyóu Jiāoliú Xiéhuì) is a semi-official representative office of the People's Republic of China in Taiwan handling tourism-related affairs. Its counterpart body in Mainland China by the Republic of China is the Taiwan Strait Tourism Association. The CSTEA office is located in Ruentex Tower at Daan District, Taipei.
