Heide is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Venray, and lies about 20 km east of Helmond. The village was first mentioned between 1838 and 1857 as "de Heijde", and means cultivated heath. Heide is located on the edge of the Peel region. In 1946, a temporary church was built. The building was replaced by a real church in 1965.

Beek is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality Venray, about 3 km northwest of the center of that town.Beek is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Merselo. It has no place name signs, and consists of about 25 houses.

Ysselsteyn is a village in the municipality of Venray in Limburg, Netherlands. It was established in 1921 and named after its designer, Hendrik Albert van IJsselsteyn, then Minister of Agriculture. Ysselsteyn has an extensive hog raising industry.The Catholic St Oda Church is a square aisleless church with ridge turret. In 1944, it was damaged by war and rebuilt in 1947. In 1975, a carillon was built next to the church.Ysselsteyn's main object of interest is the Ysselsteyn German war cemetery at Timmermansweg 73, which covers about 28 hectares (69 acres) and contains the graves of 31,598 German war dead, most of whom who died in the Netherlands during World War II.

Venray or Venraij (pronounced [ʋɛnˈraːi] ; Limburgish: Venroj) is a municipality and a city in Limburg, the Netherlands. The municipality of Venray consists of 14 towns over an area of 165 km2 (64 sq mi), with 43,494 inhabitants as of July 2016. About 30,000 of those inhabitants live in the city of Venray; the other 13,000 live in one of the 13 surrounding towns.

Ysselsteyn German War Cemetery is a military cemetery interring casualties of the First and Second World Wars. It contains over 31,000 dead from around 25 countries, including Wehrmacht and SS-men and Dutch war criminals. This cemetery is located in the village of Ysselsteyn in the municipality of Venray in Limburg, Netherlands, and is 32 km (20 mi) east of Eindhoven. Ysselsteyn is the largest Second World War German cemetery and is the only Nazi-German cemetery in the Netherlands. Following the war, the Nazi soldiers were reburied in the cemetery. The deceased include Germans, Austrians, Dutch, Poles, Russians and many who fought on the side of Nazi Germany or supported them in non-military roles.

Venray is a railway station located in Venray, Netherlands. It is situated on the Nijmegen–Venlo railway. The train services are operated by Arriva.

Raceway Venray, formerly known as Circuit de Peel, is a motorsport racing circuit in Venray, Netherlands. The track consists of a banked half mile oval with a flat quarter mile oval inside and features a karting track using portions of both along with dedicated sections. The track host its own local championships, national championships in cooperation with the Midland Circuit in Lelystad and Circuit de Polderputten in Ter Apel. The track is owned by Harry Maessen, a local business owner who is also involved in several other motorsports projects, including the BRL V6 and BRL Light series, Funpark Meppen and Acceleration 2014.

Overloon is a village with 3,626 inhabitants on the outskirts of the Peel region, in the former municipality of Boxmeer, North Brabant. Since 2022 it has been part of the new municipality of Land van Cuijk. Located on the outskirts is the National Museum of War and Resistance of the Netherlands, which originated as a museum for a World War II battle (Battle of Overloon) that occurred around the village in September and October 1944. The village is located close to the A73 motorway between Venlo and Nijmegen.

Kronenberg is a village in the southeastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Horst aan de Maas, Limburg, about 13 km northwest of Venlo. There is a snackbar/take-away restaurant, De Kleine Chef, Americaanseweg 20 Kronenberg. In 1932, a parish was established in Kronenberg.

Castenray is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Venray, and lies about 17 km northwest of Venlo. The village was first mentioned in 1409 as Casterloe. The etymology is unclear. Castenray was home to 211 people in 1840.

The Battle of Overloon was fought in the Second World War between Allied forces and the German Army which took place in and around the village of Overloon in the south-east of the Netherlands between 30 September and 18 October 1944. The battle was an Allied victory, after the Allies launched Operation Aintree. The Allies went on to liberate the town of Venray.
