The Pankrác Plain or Pankrác Terrace (Czech: Pankrácká pláň, Pankrácká terasa) is a geomorphological and urban area in Prague associated with the Pankrác district. The name of the district refers to the church of St. Pancras in the area. It stands about 1.5 km from the World Heritage Site "Historic Centre of Prague", the southern horizon of the Prague panorama. The second half of the 2000s witnessed a controversy related to the construction of new skyscrapers in the area.

City Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Prague (Pankrác district) and in Bohemia, and the second tallest one in the Czech Republic standing on the Pankrác Plain with a height of 109 meters.

Arkády Pankrác is a shopping mall located in the Nusle district of Prague, Czech Republic. It has around 140 shops and an area of 45,000 square metres (484,000 sq ft).

City Empiria (original name Motokov building), is a skyscraper in Prague. It is the third tallest building in the Czech Republic at 104 meters. The antenna reaches a height of 132 m. It was opened in 1977 as the headquarters of Czechoslovak trade company Motokov. In 2001 ECM Real Estate Investments bought the building, and reconstructed it in 2005. In 2010 ECM sold the Building for CZK 1.8 billion to Generali PPF Holding.

Pankrác (Czech pronunciation: [paŋkraːts]) is a Prague Metro station on Line C, located in the district of Pankrác in Prague 4. The station was formerly known as Mládežnická. It was opened on 9 May 1974 with the first section of Prague Metro, between Sokolovská and Kačerov.

Pankrác is a neighborhood of Prague, Czech Republic. It is located south of the city centre on the hills of the eastern bank of the Vltava River and is part of the Prague 4 municipal district, situated in the district of Nusle. Bordering districts are Krč on the south and southwest, Podolí on the west, Vyšehrad on the north and Michle on the east. The name derives from the local baroque initially very old church of St Pancras (Pankrác in Czech), which is filial to the parish church of St. Wenceslas in Nusle. Pankrác is also a synonym for its prison, which lies within its borders. Since the 1970s, several high-rise commercial buildings have been built in Pankrác Plain, and still others are being discussed amid some criticism that the skyline may threaten the historical character of Prague. Near the high-rise buildings is Centrální park (Central Park) with 4,8 ha, which is a place for recreation.

Prison Service of the Czech Republic (Czech: Vězeňská služba České republiky or VS ČR) is the prison agency of the Czech Republic. Its head office is located in Prague District 4. As of 2021 the head of the prison service is Simon Michailidis.

Podolí is a district in Prague located south of the city centre, on the right (east) riverbank. It borders Vyšehrad in the north, Pankrác (a part of Nusle and Krč districts) in the east and Braník in the south. The river Vltava separates Podolí from Smíchov and Hlubočepy on the other riverbank. Notable buildings of the district include neoclassical Podolí Waterworks completed in 20th century, Church of St. Michael the Archangel which is one of the oldest churches in the whole city or Podolí Swimming Stadium.

Pankrác Prison, officially Prague Pankrác Remand Prison (Vazební věznice Praha Pankrác in Czech), is a prison in Prague, Czech Republic. A part of the Czech Prison Service, it is located southeast of Prague city centre in Pankrác, not far from Pražského povstání metro station on Line C. It is used in part for persons awaiting trial and partly for convicted prisoners. Since 2008, women have also been incarcerated here.

The Battle of Vyšehrad was a series of engagements at the start of the Hussite War between Hussite forces and Catholic crusaders sent by Emperor Sigismund. The battle took place at the castle of Vyšehrad from 16 August 1419 to c. 1 November 1420.

Czech Television (Czech: Česká televize [ˈtʃɛskaː ˈtɛlɛvɪzɛ]; abbreviation: ČT) is a public television broadcaster in the Czech Republic, broadcasting seven channels. It is the successor to Czechoslovak Television, founded in 1953.
