Blok's Restaurant

The Onze-Lieve-Vrouwetoren (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɔnzə ˌlivə ˈvrʌuətoːrə(n)]) ('The Tower of Our Lady') is a church tower in Amersfoort. The Late Gothic building is 98.33 metres (322 ft 7 in) tall and reaches high above the inner city. It is one of the most eye-catching monuments in town and the third highest church tower in the Netherlands. The nickname of the tower is Lange Jan ('Long John'). The church that belonged to the tower was destroyed by a gunpowder explosion in the 18th century.

Museum Flehite is the historical museum of Amersfoort and Eemland in the Netherlands. The museum was founded in 1880 by the "Oudheidkundige Vereniging Flehite" (Archeological Association Flehite) (1878). In 1890, the museum moved to the first of the current three-part building on the Breestraat (Breestreet). Since 1976, the museum has been managed by a separate organization. The museum was closed in 2007 due to asbestos contamination and a large modernization, but the museum reopened in May 2009.

The Mondriaan House (Dutch: Het Mondriaanhuis, Museum voor Constructieve en Concrete Kunst) is a museum in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, in the house where Piet Mondriaan was born in 1872. The museum lies in the historical centre of Amersfoort. The building of the Christian primary school, where the father of Mondriaan was headmaster, has also been incorporated in the museum building. In 1994, the house and the school were opened as a library and documentation centre. Since 2001 the Mondriaan House has been the only museum for constructive and concrete art in the Netherlands.

The Koppelpoort is a medieval gate in the Dutch city of Amersfoort, province of Utrecht. Completed around 1425, it combines land and water-gates, and is part of the second city wall of Amersfoort, which was constructed between 1380 and 1450.

Mariënhof is a defunct restaurant in Amersfoort, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1996 and retained that rating until 2001.Head chef of Mariënhof was Jon Sistermans.The restaurant ended due to the transfer of ownership of the former monastery from insurance company "Amersfoortse Verzekeringen" to the "Van den Tweel Horeca Groep". The new owners changed course and wanted the restaurant to leave the fine dining and move into a lower class. After Sistermans left, the restaurant was closed.Restaurant Mariënhof and its chef Jon Sistermans were at the centre of a big row around the restaurant review magazine Lekker in the year 2000. He accused Lekker of deliberately damaging restaurants and staff without reason. Sistermans started the campaign "Lekker Beest 2001" and an advertiser boycott, to let the magazine change course. The magazine gave in and appointed a new chief editor with a culinary background and softened its language.Head chef Sistermans was also culinary responsible for the Michelin starred De Rôtisserie in the same complex, although Mandy the Jong was the head chef in charge. Shortly after being burned down by “Lekker”, De Rôtisserie was awarded its own Michelin star.

Flint, formerly De Flint, is a theatre in the centre of Amersfoort, Netherlands built in 1977. It was designed by Onno Greiner. The Flint programme includes play, musicals, cabaret and performances for children.On 25 November 1990 the theatre burned down. There were signs of burglary. The damage was 10 million Dutch guilder. The theatre was rebuilt on the same location, and reopened in 1994.

Culture House Eemhuis is a culture house in Amersfoort, Netherlands was designed by Michiel Riedijk in 2013. The building houses cultural organizations including: a library, institutes of education, a school for arts, and spaces for art exhibition.

The clipper is completely renovated and adjusted to its role as restaurant.

Amersfoort (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːmərsfoːrt] (listen)) is a city and municipality in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands and is situated at the eastern edge of the Randstad. Amersfoort is also one of the largest Dutch railway junctions with its three stations—Amersfoort Centraal, Schothorst and Vathorst—due to its location on two of the Netherlands' main east to west and north to south railway lines. Schothorst is the second largest district by population in the Dutch city of Amersfoort. It is located in central Amersfoort, between the districts of Liendert, Landgoed Schothorst (an estate) and De Koppel. The neighbourhood was built in the 1970s and 1980s and today forms a quiet, leafy area of the city. Housing consists of a mixture of detached houses with gardens and apartment buildings, including two of the highest residential towers in Amersfoort: De Waaier, at 14 storeys, and De Vuurtoren, at 16 storeys, both located along the Valleikanaal. The district has numerous facilities, including a shopping mall, several primary and secondary schools, the Amersfoort Schothorst railway station, doctors' offices, sports halls, a recreation area, and several green areas including parks. The district is named after the farm on Landgoed Schothorst. The name Schothorst is composed of the words "schot" (an area that is enclosed by a wooden fence) and 'horst' (a sandy hill) and means, referring to the sandy terrain (left by the last ice age) on which the district is located. The Schothorst Estate was founded in 1780 and a villa, also named Schothorst, was constructed there in the mid-19th century.

Amersfoort Schothorst is a railway station on the Utrecht–Kampen railway between Amersfoort and Zwolle. It is located in north Amersfoort, Netherlands. The station is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).
