College Lake nature reserve

Pitstone Quarry is a 10.3-hectare (25-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire. It is the area between the lake and the railway line in College Lake nature reserve. The site exposes deposits of the Middle and Late Pleistocene, during the last half-million years. Most sediments are the result of solifluction, repeated slippage during ice ages, with channels in the slopes filled with sediments. The most recent warm period, the Ipswichian around 125,000 years ago, contains hippopotamus fossils. According to Natural England evaluation continues and "the results are eagerly awaited".There is access to College Lake from Upper Icknield Way, but the most important exposure is in an area closed to the public.

Cooks Wharf is a hamlet in the parish of Cheddington, in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located where the main road into Cheddington from Pitstone crosses the Grand Union Canal. At the 2011 census the population of the area was included in the civil parish of Marsworth. Apples from the surrounding orchards were loaded onto the narrowboats here to travel down the canal to London.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands to the southeast of the village, some 9 miles (14 km) east of Aylesbury.

Tring Reservoirs is a group of four reservoirs close to Tring on the border of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. Their purpose is to feed the Grand Union Canal.The four reservoirs are: Startops End, Marsworth, Tringford and Wilstone. The first three reservoirs adjoin each other, separated only by paths and roads; the fourth, Wilstone Reservoir, is a short distance to the west, close to the village of Wilstone. The reservoirs are a 106.5-hectare (263-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

Pitstone (formerly Pightelsthorn, with possible variation Pychelesthorn in 1399) is a village and civil parish in east Buckinghamshire, England. It is at the foot of the central range of the Chiltern Hills, centred 6 miles (10 km) east of Aylesbury and 5 miles (8 km) south of Leighton Buzzard. It directly adjoins the village of Ivinghoe, and the two villages share some facilities.

Tring School is a secondary school with academy status, with approximately 1,500 students aged between 11 and 18. It is located on Mortimer Hill on the east side of the town of Tring, Hertfordshire, England. Tring School includes a Sixth Form with over 300 students. The school was founded by the Church of England and is within the Diocesan Board of Education of the St Albans Diocese.

Pitstone Windmill is a Grade II* listed windmill in England. It is thought to have been built in the early 17th century, and stands in the northeastern corner of a large field near the parish boundary of Ivinghoe and Pitstone in Buckinghamshire. Presently, the windmill belongs to the National Trust.

Tring Park Cricket Club Ground currently known as London Road is a cricket ground in Tring, Hertfordshire. Tring Park Cricket Club have played on the ground since 1874. The club's 1st XI is currently in the Home Counties Premier League. Hertfordshire played Buckinghamshire in the ground's first Minor Counties Championship match in 1959. From 1959 to 1999, the ground played host to 12 Minor Counties Championship matches and a single MCCA Knockout Trophy match. In 2009, Buckinghamshire began using the venue as one of their home grounds when they played Lincolnshire in the Minor Counties Championship; they used the ground in 2010 for a single match. The ground has also hosted List-A matches played by Northamptonshire. The first List-A match on the ground came in the 1974 John Player League between Northamptonshire and Middlesex. From 1974 to 1991, the ground held 16 List-A matches, the last of which was between Northamptonshire and Surrey.The ground hosted a single Women's One Day International between Australia women and Trinidad and Tobago women in the 1973 Women's Cricket World Cup.

Tring is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Dacorum, Hertfordshire, England. It is situated in a gap passing through the Chiltern Hills, classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 30 miles (50 km) from Central London. Tring is linked to London by the Roman road of Akeman Street, by the modern A41 road, by the Grand Union Canal and by the West Coast Main Line to London Euston. Settlements in Tring date back to prehistoric times and it was mentioned in the Domesday Book; the town received its market charter in 1315. Tring is now largely a commuter town within the London commuter belt. As of 2013, Tring had a population of 11,731.
