Salmon Gargoyle is an outdoor 1987 sculpture by Wayne Chabre, installed in 1988 on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. The hammered copper head of a salmon with Kwakiutl Indian representation on its sides, built on a stainless steel frame, measures approximately 5 feet (1.5 m) x 3 feet (0.91 m) x 8.5 feet (2.6 m). It was surveyed and deemed "treatment needed" by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in March 1993. The sculpture is administered by the University of Oregon.

The University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History (MNCH), commonly known as the UO Natural History Museum, is an American natural history museum at the University of Oregon in Eugene. Located near Hayward Field on the east side of the UO campus, it is the largest natural history museum between Seattle and San Francisco and a center for archaeological and paleontological research in the Pacific Northwest and the wider world. The museum headquarters and public spaces are located at 1680 East 15th Avenue in a building inspired by the design of Pacific Northwest Native longhouses.

The University of Oregon School of Law is a public law school in the U.S. state of Oregon. Housed in the Knight Law Center, it is Oregon's only state funded law school. The Global Scholars Hall (GSH) is a building on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. Opened in Fall 2012, the 185,000 square foot building serves as an undergraduate residence hall, dining facility, library, classroom, and performing arts complex. The construction of GSH was funded mostly by state bonds and student housing fees.As a residence hall, GSH serves 450 upperclassmen, language immersion students, and Robert D. Clark Honors College students.

1989 World Masters Athletics Championships is the eighth in a series of World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships (called World Veterans Championships at the time) that took place from 27 July to 6 August 1989 in Eugene, Oregon, known as the "Track Capital of the World" and as TrackTown USA. : 181  Athletes from the Soviet Union participated for the first time in this series. : 40 : 182 : 51 The main venue was Hayward Field, : 19  which had hosted the United States track and field Olympic trials in 1972, 1976, and 1980. Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the Northwestern United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966. Track and field competitions at the stadium are organized by the not-for-profit organization TrackTown USA. Hayward Field was named after track coach Bill Hayward (1868–1947), who ran the Ducks' program from 1904 to 1947. Renovated in 2004, it is one of only five International Association of Athletics Federations Class 1 certified tracks in the United States (along with Hutsell-Rosen Track, Icahn Stadium, John McDonnell Field, and Rock Chalk Park). The elevation of Hayward Field is approximately 420 feet (130 m) above sea level and its infield has a conventional north-south orientation. The Pacific Ocean is approximately fifty miles (80 km) to the west, separated by the Coast Range. In 2018, the stadium was demolished and rebuilt on the same site. The new stadium is financed by UO's philanthropic community, with alumnus Phil Knight as the main donor.

The Prefontaine Classic is a track and field meet held at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Organized by the Oregon Track Club, it was previously one of the IAAF Grand Prix events, and is now part of the Diamond League. The meet is one of the few international competitions to host the imperial distances of the Mile run and 2 Mile run.

The John E. Jaqua Center for Student Athletes is a learning center for University of Oregon NCAA student-athletes.

Bill Bowerman is an outdoor 2000 sculpture of the American track and field coach of the same name by Diana Lee Jackson, installed outside the Bowerman Family Building, in the corner of Hayward Field, on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States.Bowerman co-founded the American multinational corporation Nike, Inc.; Jackson was a Nike employee. The statue was installed on June 21, 2000.

Founded in 1978, the American English Institute (AEI) is a unit of the College of Arts and Sciences within the University of Oregon providing ESL (English as a Second Language) courses . Located in Eugene, Oregon, the AEI now has three academic offerings: the Intensive English Program (IEP), Academic English for International Students (AEIS), and Distance Education. Housed in Agate Hall, the AEI offers English language courses to students of all experience levels.
