Salmon Gargoyle is an outdoor 1987 sculpture by Wayne Chabre, installed in 1988 on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. The hammered copper head of a salmon with Kwakiutl Indian representation on its sides, built on a stainless steel frame, measures approximately 5 feet (1.5 m) x 3 feet (0.91 m) x 8.5 feet (2.6 m). It was surveyed and deemed "treatment needed" by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in March 1993. The sculpture is administered by the University of Oregon.

Bear Gargoyle is an outdoor 1988 sculpture by Wayne Chabre, installed at the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It depicts the head of a grizzly bear with a Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl Indian) bear mask on top. The sculpture is made of hammered 32 oz. copper over a stainless steel frame and measures approximately 5.5 feet (1.7 m) x 4 feet (1.2 m) x 5 feet (1.5 m). Its condition was deemed "treatment needed" by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in March 1993. The sculpture is administered by the University of Oregon.

The Global Scholars Hall (GSH) is a building on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. Opened in Fall 2012, the 185,000 square foot building serves as an undergraduate residence hall, dining facility, library, classroom, and performing arts complex. The construction of GSH was funded mostly by state bonds and student housing fees.As a residence hall, GSH serves 450 upperclassmen, language immersion students, and Robert D. Clark Honors College students.

The University of Oregon School of Law is a public law school in the U.S. state of Oregon. Housed in the Knight Law Center, it is Oregon's only state funded law school. The school, founded in 1884, is located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, on the corner of 15th and Agate streets, overlooking Hayward Field.

1989 World Masters Athletics Championships is the eighth in a series of World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships (called World Veterans Championships at the time) that took place from 27 July to 6 August 1989 in Eugene, Oregon, known as the "Track Capital of the World" and as TrackTown USA. : 181  Athletes from the Soviet Union participated for the first time in this series. : 40 : 182 : 51 The main venue was Hayward Field, : 19  which had hosted the United States track and field Olympic trials in 1972, 1976, and 1980. The Matthew Knight Arena (MKA) is a 12,364-seat, multi-purpose arena in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It is home of the University of Oregon Ducks basketball teams, replacing McArthur Court. It is located on the east side of campus at the corner of Franklin Boulevard and Villard Street, a gateway to campus as people arrive from I-5. The arena was originally intended to be ready for the start of the 2010–11 basketball season, but instead opened for the men's basketball game against the USC Trojans on January 13, 2011. It is named for chief donor Phil Knight's son, Matthew Knight, who died aged 34 in a scuba diving accident. The arena cost $227 million and was designed as collaboration between TVA Architects of Portland and Ellerbe Becket of Kansas City, Missouri. Hoffman Construction Company of Portland was the general contractor.The Ducks inaugurated the arena to a sold-out crowd on January 13, 2011, beating the USC Trojans, 68–62.

Founded in 1978, the American English Institute (AEI) is a unit of the College of Arts and Sciences within the University of Oregon providing ESL (English as a Second Language) courses . Located in Eugene, Oregon, the AEI now has three academic offerings: the Intensive English Program (IEP), Academic English for International Students (AEIS), and Distance Education. Housed in Agate Hall, the AEI offers English language courses to students of all experience levels.

Hayward Field is a track and field stadium in the Northwestern United States, located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. It has been the home of the university's track and field teams since 1921, and was the on-campus home of the varsity football team from 1919 through 1966. Track and field competitions at the stadium are organized by the not-for-profit organization TrackTown USA. Hayward Field was named after track coach Bill Hayward (1868–1947), who ran the Ducks' program from 1904 to 1947. Renovated in 2004, it is one of only five International Association of Athletics Federations Class 1 certified tracks in the United States (along with Hutsell-Rosen Track, Icahn Stadium, John McDonnell Field, and Rock Chalk Park). The elevation of Hayward Field is approximately 420 feet (130 m) above sea level and its infield has a conventional north-south orientation. The Pacific Ocean is approximately fifty miles (80 km) to the west, separated by the Coast Range. In 2018, the stadium was demolished and rebuilt on the same site. The new stadium is financed by UO's philanthropic community, with alumnus Phil Knight as the main donor.

The Prefontaine Classic is a track and field meet held at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Organized by the Oregon Track Club, it was previously one of the IAAF Grand Prix events, and is now part of the Diamond League. The meet is one of the few international competitions to host the imperial distances of the Mile run and 2 Mile run.
