The MacArthur Bridge is a road bridge crossing the Pasig River between Padre Burgos Avenue in Ermita and the intersection of Plaza Santa Cruz, Carriedo Street, Carlos Palanca Street, and Muelle del Banco Nacional in Santa Cruz. It replaced the Santa Cruz Bridge, which was destroyed during World War II. The bridge is named after General Douglas MacArthur, whose military operations led to the liberation of the Philippines during World War II.

The Puente Colgante (lit. 'Hanging Bridge'), originally called Puente de Clavería (Clavería Bridge), was a suspension bridge that connected the Manila districts of Quiapo and Ermita across the Pasig River in the Philippines. Designed by Matia, Menchacatorre and Cía., completed in 1852, it was the first suspension bridge in Asia and the first toll bridge of its kind in the Philippines. It was replaced by Quezon Bridge in 1939.

Quezon Bridge is a combined arch and prestressed concrete girder bridge crossing the Pasig River between Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo and Padre Burgos Avenue in Ermita in Manila, Philippines. Quezon Bridge was built to take the much greater and heavier 20th century vehicular traffic than the nineteenth century Puente Colgante, which it replaced, was designed to carry. Quezon Bridge was constructed in 1939 under the supervision of the engineering firm Pedro Siochi and Company. The bridge was designed as an Art Deco style arch bridge and was inspired by the design of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was named in honor of Manuel Luis Quezon, the President of the Philippines at the time of its construction. It was wrecked during World War II and subsequently rebuilt in 1946. It is a subject of frequent repairs, reinforcement and retrofits through the years due to increasing utilization, age and at one point, damage by fire in 2014. As a result, the bridge became restricted only to light vehicles. Its last major reconstruction was done in 1996. The bridge was lighted up with new LED lights in February 2022.

The Santa Cruz Bridge was a bridge that spanned the Pasig River in the city of Manila in the Philippines. The steel truss bridge was the fourth to span the river connecting the district of Santa Cruz from Plaza Goiti to Arroceros Street in the old city center of Manila. The construction of the bridge was started by the Spanish colonial government in Manila but completed by the Americans after gaining sovereignty of the country from Spain after the Spanish–American War. The bridge was opened on March 1, 1902 but was destroyed in World War II during the liberation of Manila. A simpler reinforced concrete beam bridge was constructed after the war and the span was renamed as the MacArthur Bridge after General Douglas MacArthur.

The Arroceros Forest Park is a riverside urban forest park in Manila, Philippines, located on Antonio Villegas Street (former Calle Arroceros) in the central district of Ermita. Developed in 1993, the 2.2-hectare (5.4-acre) park on the south bank of the Pasig River, at the foot of Quezon Bridge, consists of secondary growth forest with 61 different tree varieties and 8,000 ornamental plants providing a habitat for 10 different bird species. Despite its small size, it is considered an important feature of the city in providing fresh air to the Lawton area, which is traversed by many commuters from other cities in the region. It lies in a historic area of Manila and has been called "Manila's last lung", being the city's only nature park. The park is administered by the City Government of Manila in partnership with private environmental group, Winner Foundation.

The Manila Central Post Office, often called the Post Office Building, is the main postal office of Manila, which also serves as the home of the Philippine Postal Corporation. It also houses the main mail sorting-distribution operations of the Philippines. It is located along the riverbanks in Lawton, Ermita and lies at the northern end of Liwasang Bonifacio. Its location along the frontage of the Pasig River was a part of the Burnham Plan of Manila for easy water transportation of mails. Its central location with converging avenues made the building readily accessible from all sides. The building's main entrance faces the Liwasang Bonifacio.The original building was designed by Juan M. Arellano and Tomás Mapúa in neoclassical style. The construction of the building began on 1926 under the supervision of the architecture firm of Pedro Siochi and Company. However, it was severely damaged in World War II during the Battle of Manila and was subsequently rebuilt in 1946 while retaining most of its original design.

Quinta Market (Filipino: Pamilihang Bayan ng Quinta; Spanish: Mercado de la Quinta), also known as Quiapo Market and officially called the Quinta Market and Fishport since 2017, is a palengke (public market) on Carlos Palanca (formerly Echague) Street in Quiapo, Manila, in the Philippines, along the banks of the Pasig River. Established in the 19th century during the Spanish colonial period, Quinta Market was the central market of the City of Manila, originally catering to the wealthy families that lived in Quiapo at the time. By the early 20th century, the market had become one of the city's most important markets, generating significant revenues while also catering to residents of all social classes. However, growing congestion and the shift of business to new developments outside the city have led to its gradual decline, until the market was torn down and rebuilt in 2017 during the term of Mayor Joseph Estrada.

FEATI University (Far Eastern Air Transport Incorporated University) is a private non-sectarian co-educational higher education institution with a Catholic orientation established in 1946 in Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. FEATI was formerly known as the Far Eastern School of Aeronautics.

The Liwasang Bonifacio (Bonifacio Square), also known by its former name, Plaza Lawton, is a city square and transport hub in front of the Manila Central Post Office in the Ermita district of Manila, Philippines. It lies at the south end of Jones Bridge, MacArthur Bridge, and Quezon Bridge that link the northern districts of Binondo, Santa Cruz, and Quiapo to the central district of Ermita. The plaza straddles the dividing line between Ermita and Intramuros and is the starting point of Padre Burgos Avenue which connects to Taft Avenue and Roxas Boulevard in Rizal Park. Historically known as the Plaza del Fortín, the plaza was given its current name in 1963 after the revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio who founded the independence movement of Katipunan during the Spanish colonial rule. A monument in his honour now stands in the center of the plaza. The plaza is a popular site of protests and demonstrations organized by several leftist groups, being one of four freedom parks in the City of Manila, where protests and rallies may be held without requiring permission from local authorities.

Central Terminal (sometimes called Central or Arroceros station) is an elevated Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) station situated on Line 1. It is located in Ermita, Manila. A popular name for the station is Arroceros due to its proximity to the Arroceros Forest Park. Central Terminal is the last station of LRT Line 1 south of the Pasig River and serves as the ninth station for trains headed to Roosevelt and the twelfth station for trains headed to Baclaran. It is also near some of Manila's major landmarks, such as the Mehan Gardens and the Manila Metropolitan Theater. It is also near the Manila City Hall, Liwasang Bonifacio, Manila Central Post Office, Manila Hall of Justice, Bonifacio Shrine, and the National Museum of Fine Arts. SM City Manila is also a nearby shopping center. Due to its location in Manila's University Belt, the station is near educational institutions such as the Colegio de San Juan de Letran, the Philippine Normal University, the city-owned Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, the Mapúa University, and the Lyceum of the Philippines University. All those institutions, except the Philippine Normal University, lie within the former Spanish walled city of Intramuros. Central Terminal is one of the four stations and terminals in the whole LRT-1 system that allows commuters to catch a train going in the opposite direction without paying a new fare due to the station's layout. The other three stops are Carriedo, Balintawak, and Roosevelt.

Mehan Garden is an open space in Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1858 by the Spanish colonial authorities as a botanical garden, called the Jardín Botánico, outside the walled city.

The Puente de España, or the Bridge of Spain, was a bridge that spanned the Pasig River in the Philippines, connecting the areas of Binondo and Ermita, Manila on Calle Nueva (now E.T. Yuchengco St) with central Manila. The span was the oldest established in the country before it was damaged by flood in 1914. The bridge was replaced by the Jones Bridge that was started in 1916 and completed in 1921, located one block downriver from Puente de España on Calle Rosario (now Quintin Paredes St).
