Barlow Apartments

The Corydon Wassell House is a historic house at 2005 South Scott Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1882, it is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame cottage, with modest Late Victorian trim, and is architecturally typical for the neighborhood. It is nationally significant as the home of the doctor and missionary Corydon M. Wassell (1884-1958). Wassell was awarded the Navy Cross for his service during World War II, and his life was immortalized in the film The Story of Dr. Wassell.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Ada Thompson Memorial Home was a home for indigent elderly women at 2021 South Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1882 by prominent local citizens, it served in that capacity until 1976. The surviving building, a two-story brick building with Beaux Arts, Colonial Revival, and Georgian Revival features, was built in 1900 to a design by Frank Gibb and Theodore Sanders. The home was named in honor of Ada Thompson Crutchfield, who gave a major bequest to the organization in honor of her parents.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Luxor Apartments are a historic apartment building at 1923 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a U-shaped two-story brick building, with sparse Craftsman styling that includes brackets on the shed roof over its main entrance. It houses 28 small units, most of which retain original features such as Murphy beds, built-in china cabinets, and flooring. When built in 1924, it was the largest apartment building in the city by square footage, and represented a rapid urbanization trend of the period.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Holcomb Court Apartments also called Martin, Mahlon Aparatments, are a historic apartment complex at 2201 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a U-shaped two story brick building, with concrete trim and a parapetted flat roof. Entrances are located on the courtyard side of the side wings, in projecting sections with pedimented concrete surrounds. The building houses twenty units, with many original design features surviving. Built in 1925, it is one of the city's few largescale apartment buildings built during the 1920s.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Trinity Hospital is a historic former hospital, now a mixed-used commercial and residential building, at 20th and Main Streets in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, roughly square in shape with a central courtyard and an ell projecting from its southern side. It was designed by local architect Maximilian F. Mayer and built in 1924, with restrained Classical Revival elements. The building is historically notable as the first place in Arkansas where the now-common health maintenance organization methods of funding and delivering health care were implemented. The building now houses the offices of a non-profit and low-income housing.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The South Main Street Residential Historic District encompasses a residential area south of downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The area, extending along South Main Street roughly between 19th and 23rd Streets, was developed between about 1880 and 1945, and includes a well-preserved set of residential architecture from that period. Notable buildings include the Luxor Apartments, the Holcomb Court Apartments, and the Ada Thompson Memorial Home.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. In 2012 it was enlarged to include the west side of the 2000 block of Scott Street.

The South Main Street Apartments Historic District encompasses a pair of identical Colonial Revival apartment houses at 2209 and 2213 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Both are two-story four-unit buildings, finished in a brick veneer and topped by a dormered hip roof. They were built in 1941, and are among the first buildings in the city to be built with funding assistance from the Federal Housing Administration. They were designed by the Little Rock firm of Bruggeman, Swaim & Allen.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Farrell Houses are a group of four houses on South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. All four houses are architecturally significant Bungalow/Craftsman buildings designed by the noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson as rental properties for A.E. Farrell, a local businessman, and built in 1914. All were individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places for their association with Thompson. All four are also contributing properties to the Governor's Mansion Historic District, to which they were added in a 1988 enlargement of the district boundaries. The house at 2109 South Louisiana is a two-story frame structure, its exterior finished in dark brown brick and stucco, with a large projecting gable section at the right front. Its roof has exposed rafter ends, and its recessed porch is supported by large Craftsman brackets. 2111 South Louisiana, also two stories, has an exterior of red brick and stucco, with three smaller gabled dormers, and a shed-roof porch. 2115 South Louisiana is differentiated from the first two by having a front-facing gable roof, with a clipped top, and a projecting gabled section on the left. The entrance is to its right, set under a shed-roof porch. The main house finish is red brick, with half-timbered stucco in the gables. 2121 South Louisiana is finished in dark brown brick, with brown-stuccoed half-timbered gable ends, and a cross-gabled tile roof with clipped gable ends that also featured exposed after ends and large Craftsman brackets.

The former First Church of Christ, Scientist, now the Little Rock Community Church, is a historic church building at 2000 South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story Mission style building, designed by noted Arkansas architect John Parks Almand and completed in 1919. Characteristics of the Mission style include the low-pitch tile hip roof, overhanging eaves with exposed rafter ends, and smooth plaster walls. The building also has modest Classical features, found in pilaster capitals and medallions of plaster and terra cotta. The building is local significant for its architecture. It was built for the local Christian Science congregation, which in 1950 sold it to an Evangelical Methodist congregation. That congregation has since severed its association with the Evangelical Methodist movement, and is now known as the Little Rock Community Church.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and was included in a 1988 expansion of the Governor's Mansion Historic District.

The Mehaffey House is a historic house at 2102 South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a hip roof and weatherboard siding. It has irregular massing characteristic of the late Victorian period, but has a classical Colonial Revival porch, with Tuscan columns supporting a dentillated and modillioned roof. The main entrance features a revival arched transom. The house was built about 1905 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The South Scott Street Historic District encompasses a small portion of a residential area south of downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. It includes the 2400 block of South Scott Street, and one block of 24th Street just to its west. Developed between about 1890 and 1950, this area has one of the city's best-preserved concentrations of modest middle-class residences from that period. It includes fourteen buildings, ranging stylistically from the Queen Anne to the post-World War II vernacular.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Hornibrook House is a historic house at 2120 South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, with the irregular massing and projecting gables typical of the Queen Anne style architecture, a Victorian revival style. Its wraparound porch is festooned with detailed woodwork, with turned posts and balustrade. A three-story rounded turret stands at one corner of the house, topped by an octagonal roof. Built in 1888, it is one of the state's finest examples of Queen Anne architecture, with unrivalled exterior and interior detail. It was built for James Hornibrook, a prominent local businessman.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
