South Scott Street Historic District

Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church, formerly the Winfield Methodist Church is a historic church at 1601 Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building with Gothic Revival style, designed by the prominent architectural firm of Thompson and Harding, and built in 1921. Its main facade has three entrances below a large Gothic-arch stained glass window, all framed by cream-colored terra cotta elements. A square tower rises above the center of the transept.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Hotze House is a historic house at 1619 Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure, with a combination of Georgian Revival and Beaux Arts styling. Its main facade has an ornate half-round two-story portico sheltering the main entrance, with fluted Ionic columns and a modillioned cornice topped by a balustrade. Windows are topped by cut stone lintels. The hip roof is topped by a balustrade. Built in 1900 to a design by Charles L. Thompson, its interior is claimed to have been designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Peter Hotze, for whom it was built, was a major cotton dealer.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Turner-Ledbetter House is a historic house at 1700 South Louisiana Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, its exterior mostly finished in brick, with a hip roof and a variety of dormers, projections, porches, and decorative elements typical of the Queen Anne period of architecture. Notable features include a three-story turret with flared conical roof, an entry porch with turned posts, bracketing, and a spindled balustrade, and windows with stone sills. The house was built in 1891-92 for Susan Turner, and was given additional Craftsman styling during renovations in the early decades of the 20th century.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The ESSE Purse Museum is a museum located in Little Rock, Arkansas featuring women's handbags, and the day-to-day items carried in them, illustrating the stories of American women's lives during the 1900s. Special topic exhibits are hosted, and the museum has a gift shop. The museum's name is derived from the Latin infinitive for "to be".

The Luxor Apartments are a historic apartment building at 1923 Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a U-shaped two-story brick building, with sparse Craftsman styling that includes brackets on the shed roof over its main entrance. It houses 28 small units, most of which retain original features such as Murphy beds, built-in china cabinets, and flooring. When built in 1924, it was the largest apartment building in the city by square footage, and represented a rapid urbanization trend of the period.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Quapaw Quarter of Little Rock, Arkansas, is a section of the city including its oldest and most historic business and residential neighborhoods. The area's name was first given in 1961, honoring the Quapaw Indians who lived in the area centuries ago. As many as fifteen separate National Historic Register Districts make up the Quapaw Quarter, including more than 200 separate homes and buildings on the National Register of Historic Places. Trapnall Hall, along East Capitol Avenue, was among the first of the homes built in 1843 as the home of early state legislator Frederic Trapnall and his wife, Martha. Structures housing businesses on Main Street and Broadway south of Interstate 630 are also among this group. Throughout the Quapaw Quarter, many small and large homes from the Antebellum and Victorian eras can be found, in addition to several examples of Craftsman-style architecture. Scott, Center, and Spring streets, in particular, are where many such homes stand today. The exterior of the Villa Marre, one such home, was known nationally as the outside of the home containing the office of Sugarbaker Designs, the fictional Atlanta-based interior design firm on the CBS sitcom Designing Women. The actual home is along Little Rock's Scott Street, and has been a former home for the office of the Quapaw Quarter Association, the chief organization that sponsors historic preservation efforts in the area.

The Turner House, also known as the Turner-Fulk House, is a historic house at 1701 Center Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof, clapboarded exterior, and brick foundation. Its most prominent feature is a massive two-story temple portico, with a fully pedimented and modillioned gabled pediment supported by fluted Ionic columns. The main entry is framed by sidelight windows and an elliptical fanlight, and there is a shallow but wide balcony above. The house was built in 1904–05 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Lincoln Building is a historic commercial building at 1423-25 South Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, built in 1905 with modest Neoclassical design elements, including bays articulated by brick pilasters with metal Corinthian capitals. It was built as a speculative real estate venture by C. J. Lincoln, a local drugstore wholesaler, and is one of the South Main Street area's best examples of the style.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Trinity Hospital is a historic former hospital, now a mixed-used commercial and residential building, at 20th and Main Streets in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick structure, roughly square in shape with a central courtyard and an ell projecting from its southern side. It was designed by local architect Maximilian F. Mayer and built in 1924, with restrained Classical Revival elements. The building is historically notable as the first place in Arkansas where the now-common health maintenance organization methods of funding and delivering health care were implemented. The building now houses the offices of a non-profit and low-income housing.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The First Hotze House is a historic house at 1620 South Main Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Located in what was once the outskirts of the city, it is an L-shaped single story wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof, weatherboard trim, and a foundation of brick piers. A porch extends across most of its front facade, supported by paired square columns with brackets and a dentillated cornice. The building corners are adorned with Italianate pilasters and paired brackets. Built in 1869 and restored in 2000–01, it was the first post-Civil War home of Peter Hotze, a prominent local merchant and real estate developer. (His second, more elaborate home, stands just around the corner.)The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The South Main Street Commercial Historic District of Little Rock, Arkansas is a historic district encompassing a five-block stretch of South Main Street, just south of the city's downtown area. Developed between about 1905 and 1950, the section of South Main between 12th and 17th streets represents an architectural cross-section of the commercial development that took place in the city during that time. Early buildings, such as the 1905 Lincoln Building, were Classical Revival in style, while generational changes in style are exemplified by the presence of Craftsman and Art Deco buildings. One residential building, the First Hotze House, predates the area's commercial development, and stands as a reminder of its residential past.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The William L. Terry House is a historic house at 1422 Scott Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a roughly L-shaped 2-1/2 wood-frame structure, its appearance somewhat irregular due to the presence of projecting elements. Its porch extends across part of the front, and then the inside of the L, with bracketed square posts and a spindled balustrade. Built in the 1880s, it is a particularly elegant and restrained example of Queen Anne architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
