Secrest-Wampler House, also known as the James Secrest House, is a historic home located in Washington Township, Owen County, Indiana. It was built in 1859, and is a two-story, brick I-house with Greek Revival style design elements. It has a one-story rear ell, and the front facade features a two-story portico. The house was restored in the 1990s.: 5  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

McCormick's Creek State Park is the oldest state park in the U.S. state of Indiana, dedicated on July 4, 1916, as part of the state's centennial celebration. It is located 14 miles (23 km) west of Bloomington in Owen County. The park receives about 640,000 visitors annually. The park is 1 of 14 Indiana State Parks that are in the path of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse, with the park seeing 4 minutes and 1 second of totality.

CCC Recreation Building-Nature Museum is a historic building located at McCormick's Creek State Park in Washington Township, Owen County, Indiana. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933, and is a one-story, frame building with board-and-batten siding and American Craftsman style design elements. It consists of a rectangular hip roofed main section, with a gabled wing. The wing features a large stone fireplace. The building was rehabilitated for use as a nature museum by the Works Progress Administration in 1936, and remained in that use into the 1970s.: 5  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Stone Arch Bridge over McCormick's Creek is a historic arch bridge located at McCormick's Creek State Park in Washington Township, Owen County, Indiana. It was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934, and is solidly constructed of mortared roughcut limestone. The round arch has a 54-foot (16 m) span and reaches approximately 25 feet (7.6 m) high.: 5  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

McCormick's Creek State Park Entrance and Gatehouse is a historic gatehouse situated in McCormick's Creek State Park, located in Washington Township, Owen County, Indiana. Constructed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, it is a one-story, T-shaped building made of limestone in the Rustic style with a gable roof. The building features a large limestone fireplace chimney and an open entrance porch. Adjacent to the gatehouse, there are two sections of a stone and timber fence that contribute to its overall historic character..: 5  In recognition of its significance, the gatehouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Washington Township is one of thirteen townships in Owen County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 6,387 (up from 6,164 at 2010) and it contained 2,616 housing units.

Spencer Town Hall and Fire Station is a historic town hall and fire station located at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. It was built in 1897–1898, and is a two-story, rectangular, Romanesque Revival style limestone building with a corner bell tower. It measures 24 feet wide and 61 feet long and has a hipped roof. The building was used for municipal purposes until 1975.: 2  In 2005, the building housed law offices. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The old Spencer Public Library is a former public library and historic Carnegie library located at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. It was built in 1912, and is a one-story, three-bay, American Craftsman style brick building on a raised basement. It has a low-pitched hipped roof and projecting entry bay. It was constructed with a $10,000 grant provided by the Carnegie Foundation.: 5  The building ceased its function as a public library in 1997. The Owen County Heritage & Culture Center occupies the space today. Currently, Owen County Public Library operates the only library branch in Owen County at 10 S. Montgomery St. in Spencer The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Spencer is a town in Washington Township, Owen County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 2,217 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Owen County. Spencer is part of the Bloomington, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Allison-Robinson House, also known as the John C. Robinson House, is a historic home located at Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. It was built between about 1855 and 1860, and is a two-story, "L"-plan, frame vernacular Greek Revival style I-house. It has a central passage plan and medium pitched roof. The front facade features a central two-story, one-bay entrance portico with fluted Doric order columns. Also on the property is a contributing section of retaining wall.: 5–6  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

David Enoch Beem House, also known as the "Beem Mansion," is a historic home located in Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. Built in 1874, the large, two-story, Italianate-style residence is named after its original owner, David Enoch Beem, a local lawyer and banker, and his family. The T-plan, brick dwelling rests on a rusticated Indiana limestone foundation and arched openings framed in limestone. It features a three-story, central tower at the entrance with a steeply pitched mansard roof. The home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Montgomery Township is one of thirteen townships in Owen County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,203 (down from 1,304 at 2010) and it contained 562 housing units.
