John Murray Field is home to Redlands Baseball Club in Sheldon, about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is a fully fenced and regulation size field with field level fenced dugouts, 2 bullpens, 2 indoor battery cages with an automated pitching machine, an air-conditioned scorers box. Floodlighting is of AAA standard and has hosted trial games for various countries including the Netherlands, Italy and United States. Opposite to John Murray Field is the Tony Street Field which serves as a playing field for juniors and minor league senior teams as well as a warm up and training field. Redlands has hosted the Claxton Shield 2008 for the Queensland Rams and will host three Claxton Shield 2009 games.

Redland City, better known as the Redlands and formerly known as Redland Shire, is a local government area and a part of the Brisbane metropolitan area in South East Queensland. Carmel College is a co-educational Catholic secondary college situated in Thornlands, Redland City in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1993 under Brisbane Catholic Education, the college is the only Catholic secondary college in the Redland City area.As of 2020, 99 teachers and 32 non-teaching staff were working at the college with over 1230 students enrolled over years 7 to 12. Across these enrolments, 45% were male and 55% were female, with 3% of the total student population being of Indigenous background. In 2019, the college received an average of 91% attendance across the school year, with over 67% of students receiving an attendance rate of over 90%. Redland Hospital is a public hospital, located in Redland City, Queensland, Australia. Its address is Weippin Street, Cleveland. The hospital provides emergency, general medical, surgical and obstetric services. Administratively, the hospital is part of the Metro South Health Service District. Redland Hospital opened on 30 June 1987. As of October 2018, the Hospital employs approximately 900 staff operating 172 beds. In late 2014, it was announced the hospital would receive $3 million in funding for various upgrades and maintenance.The 60-bed Mater Private Hospital Redland, the Redland Health Service Centre and Redland Residential Care are also on site.
