Liberty Classical Academy is an independent college-preparatory private Christian school in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States, serving students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Liberty Classical's stated purpose is to "classically educate children to be moral leaders who impact the culture for Christ." It is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools. Liberty Classical was launched in the autumn of 2003 by a group of parents seeking to give their children a solid Christian education along with rigorous academic standards, and to teach them how to think critically and learn for themselves. The first 28 students, in grades K–8, met at Lake Phalen Community Church in Maplewood. By 2006 the school had grown to over 100 students, and it expanded by moving grades 6–11 into classrooms at First Evangelical Free Church, a few miles to the north. (In the fall of 2009, grades PK-5 moved to Christ the King Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake.) In June 2008, the first class of four seniors graduated, and that fall, the preschool was opened. Both campuses merged in the fall of 2014 at their new campus in White Bear Lake, MN. Despite its small size, Liberty has already had one National Merit Scholarship Finalist and another student Commended.Liberty Classical Academy believes homosexuality and same-sex marriage are immoral, and will not employ members of LGBTQ community.

White Bear Township is an urban township in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 11,049 at the 2020 census, up from 10,949 in 2010. White Bear Township was organized in 1858, and named after its White Bear Lake. Over the years, the cities of White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Gem Lake, and North Oaks were carved out of the township's original 36 square miles (93 km2). It now comprises four discontiguous parcels over an area of 9.3 square miles (24 km2). It is the only remaining township in Ramsey County. The unincorporated communities of Bald Eagle and Bellaire are located in the township.

The White Bear Lake Area School District, abbreviated WBLAS, is a public school district located in Ramsey County, Minnesota. It provides academic and educational services to the cities of Birchwood, Gem Lake, Hugo, Lino Lakes, Little Canada, Maplewood, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake and White Bear Township. The District consists of nine elementary schools, two middle schools, a two-campus high school and an Area Learning Center. The District also provides programs such as three locations for early childhood (birth-5), transition plus (special education 18-21) community services and senior programs. The school district covers a population of approximately 50,000 residents and provides services for nearly 9,000 students ranging from early childhood education to high school graduation to adult education and senior programs.

The First National Bank of White Bear is a historic former bank building in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States, built in 1921. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for having local significance in architecture and commerce. It is one of White Bear Lake's most architecturally sophisticated commercial buildings constructed before the 1940s. It also served a key financial role as White Bear Lake evolved from a resort town of summer homes for nearby Saint Paul into a full-fledged city with year-round residents.

The E. H. Hobe House or Solheim (Norwegian for "Home of the Sun") was built in 1897 by Engelbrecht H. Hobe, a Norwegian immigrant, who worked for the newspaper Nordvesten, was a lumber dealer, steam-ship agent, and who became Vice-Consul, then Consul to the Norwegian-Swedish Kingdoms. The Victorian home was visited by Swedish King Gustav V and Crown Prince Olav and Princess Märtha of Norway. In 1918, Hobe purchased the Phillip J. Reilly house in St. Paul (565 Dayton Avenue), and thereafter used Solheim primarily as a summer home. The estate on Bald Eagle Lake was designed by Minneapolis architect Carl F. Struck.

North Oaks Golf Club (NOGC) is located in North Oaks, Minnesota, United States. The championship golf course was originally designed by golf course architect Stanley Thompson in 1950. The course is located just inside the private community of North Oaks. It has hosted numerous MGA Championships and a few MN section PGA Championships in 1954 and 2000.

The White Bear Lake Armory in White Bear Lake, Minnesota is a building constructed in 1922–1923 as part of an expansion effort by the National Guard after the National Defense Act of 1920. The architecture reflects traditional castellated designs but also indicates a transition to more restrained designs. It was designed by P.C. Bettenburg and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. The building now houses the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. The building has two sections: a two-story, flat-roofed, rectangular block used for administration, and a one-story, bowstring-roofed drill hall. The administration section is clad in brick and has crenellations on portions of the roofline, as well as brick quoining, pilasters, and a combination of a cornice, frieze, and architrave. The interior of the drill hall is one large open space and is marked as a basketball court. The drill hall also has a basement, which once contained a shooting range. The administration section has a catering kitchen, rooms for storage, and two offices on the second floor used by the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. Besides National Guard functions, the armory was also used for community functions such as dances, roller skating, concerts, appearances by Santa Claus, carnivals, and sporting events. The building was hit by a devastating fire on December 7, 1928, which destroyed most of the front of the building. The administration section of the building was renovated and revised somewhat from its original appearance. From 1930 until the start of World War II, the armory still hosted events, but was not regarded as a community center. In September 1941, the building was hit by a tornado, damaging the roof of the drill hall. More repairs were made, and some strengthening was done. Some remodeling was done in the 1960s with three classrooms being built, along with updates to the building's mechanical systems. It was an older building at this point, though, and in the early 1970s, White Bear Lake was slated to receive a new armory building. This got a lukewarm response because there would be a cost to the city and because there were other options for a community facility, so a new armory was not built. In 1992, The Pentagon directed the National Guard to reduce its forces, and the state of Minnesota sought cost savings by closing older armories. The White Bear Lake Armory was selected to be closed because it had insufficient space for monthly training, it needed repairs, and it lacked accessibility. The building was turned over to the City of White Bear Lake that fall. In 1995, major renovations were accomplished such as replacing the front stairway, adding an elevator and new restrooms, adding a small kitchen in the administration block, and more updates to the building's mechanical systems. The drill hall is currently used for community events and is available for rental, while the administration section is used by the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society and the local Lions Club.
