Liberty Classical Academy is an independent college-preparatory private Christian school in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States, serving students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Liberty Classical's stated purpose is to "classically educate children to be moral leaders who impact the culture for Christ." It is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools. Liberty Classical was launched in the autumn of 2003 by a group of parents seeking to give their children a solid Christian education along with rigorous academic standards, and to teach them how to think critically and learn for themselves. The first 28 students, in grades K–8, met at Lake Phalen Community Church in Maplewood. By 2006 the school had grown to over 100 students, and it expanded by moving grades 6–11 into classrooms at First Evangelical Free Church, a few miles to the north. (In the fall of 2009, grades PK-5 moved to Christ the King Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake.) In June 2008, the first class of four seniors graduated, and that fall, the preschool was opened. Both campuses merged in the fall of 2014 at their new campus in White Bear Lake, MN. Despite its small size, Liberty has already had one National Merit Scholarship Finalist and another student Commended.Liberty Classical Academy believes homosexuality and same-sex marriage are immoral, and will not employ members of LGBTQ community.

Bellaire is an unincorporated community in White Bear Township, Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The community is located on the south shore of White Bear Lake, and is completely surrounded by the cities of White Bear Lake and Birchwood Village.

White Bear Lake Area High School (abbreviated WBLAHS) is a high school in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States. The school was formed by merging White Bear High School (WBHS) and White Bear Mariner High School in the 1983–84 school year. It currently consists of two campuses and an alternative learning center. North Campus houses grades nine and ten, while South Campus serves grades eleven and twelve. The South Campus building also houses an expansion that is owned by Intermediate District 916 which contains a special education program separate from the high school. While WBLAHS is the only school in the state of Minnesota with grades 9–10 and 11–12 in different buildings, the two buildings will unify at the current North Campus site after a 396,000 S/F addition is completed for the fall 2024 opening.

The First National Bank of White Bear is a historic former bank building in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, United States, built in 1921. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for having local significance in architecture and commerce. It is one of White Bear Lake's most architecturally sophisticated commercial buildings constructed before the 1940s. It also served a key financial role as White Bear Lake evolved from a resort town of summer homes for nearby Saint Paul into a full-fledged city with year-round residents.

The Charles P. Noyes Cottage (also known as the Fillebrown House) was a summer home of Saint Paul pharmacist, Charles P. Noyes, who came to St. Paul in 1868. The cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The White Bear Lake Area School District, abbreviated WBLAS, is a public school district located in Ramsey County, Minnesota. It provides academic and educational services to the cities of Birchwood, Gem Lake, Hugo, Lino Lakes, Little Canada, Maplewood, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, White Bear Lake and White Bear Township. The District consists of nine elementary schools, two middle schools, a two-campus high school and an Area Learning Center. The District also provides programs such as three locations for early childhood (birth-5), transition plus (special education 18-21) community services and senior programs. The school district covers a population of approximately 50,000 residents and provides services for nearly 9,000 students ranging from early childhood education to high school graduation to adult education and senior programs.

The Bruentrup Heritage Farm is a historic farmstead and museum located in Maplewood, Minnesota. Established in 1891, the farm was home to four generations of the Bruentrup family until 1999. Today, it is operated by the Maplewood Area Historical Society (MAHS) as a history museum.

White Bear Lake (Dakota: Bde Maṭo Ská ) is a lake in northeastern Ramsey County and western Washington County in the U.S. state of Minnesota, in the northeast part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The city of White Bear Lake takes its name from the lake.

Gem Lake is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 528 at the 2020 census.

White Bear Township is an urban township in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 11,049 at the 2020 census, up from 10,949 in 2010. White Bear Township was organized in 1858, and named after its White Bear Lake. Over the years, the cities of White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Gem Lake, and North Oaks were carved out of the township's original 36 square miles (93 km2). It now comprises four discontiguous parcels over an area of 9.3 square miles (24 km2). It is the only remaining township in Ramsey County. The unincorporated communities of Bald Eagle and Bellaire are located in the township.

Maplewood Mall is a super-regional shopping mall in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. It is near Interstate 694 on the Saint Paul side of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Maplewood Mall opened in 1974. It was later renovated and expanded in 1996. It is managed by Washington Prime Group of Columbus, Ohio. The mall's anchor stores are Barnes & Noble, JCPenney, Kohl's, and Macy's with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears. In a 2008 study, it was named one of the top six malls in the metropolitan area in terms of visitors.The mall was renovated in 2011 with updated entrances, new carpeting and tile, energy-efficient lighting, and updated restrooms. A Metro Transit hub opened near the mall in 2004 and features 425 park and ride stalls. The mall is open two hours earlier than the stores open to allow people to get exercise by walking in a temperature controlled environment. In 2015, Sears Holdings spun off 235 of its properties, including the Sears at Maplewood Mall, into Seritage Growth Properties. Sears closed this location in July 2018. Hmongtown Marketplace plans to open a second location in the former Sears space in 2025.The state of Minnesota has plans for a new bus rapid transit (BRT) line named the "Rush Line" navigating from Downtown Saint Paul and past the Maplewood Mall to White Bear Lake.
