Aydın Archaeological Museum (Turkish: Aydın Arkeoloji Müzesi) is in Aydın, western Turkey. Established in 1959, it contains numerous statues, tombs, columns and stone carvings from the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods, unearthed in ancient cities such as Alinda, Alabanda, Amyzon, Harpasa, Magnesia on the Maeander, Mastaura, Myus, Nisa, Orthosia, Piginda, Pygela and Tralleis. The museum also has a section devoted to ancient coin finds.

Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU) is a state university established in Aydın in 1992. The university began its education in Aydın and Nazilli in 1992 with five faculties (Science-Literature, Nazilli School of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Medicine, Veterinary, and Agriculture faculties), three institutes, the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, and the School of Vocational Studies in Söke. Currently, the university has 14 faculties, 3 institutes, 1 State Conservatory, 5 Colleges, 18 Vocational Schools, and 24 Application and Research Centers. In 2016, in addition to the Central, Çakmar, Işıklı, İsabeyli, Didim Akbük, Nazilli Sümer, Çine Süleyman Pekgüzel, and Karacasu Muzaffer Özuysal Campuses, it continues its activities in 17 separate locations including Kuşadası, Atça, Sultanhisar, Yenipazar, Söke, Davutlar, Bozdoğan, Köşk, and Buharkent districts. As of 2022, the university had a total of 1,880 academic staff, including 369 professors, 251 associate professors, 307 doctors, 412 lecturers, and 541 research assistants. Adnan Menderes University (In Turkish: Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi) was founded in Aydın, Turkey in 1992. The name of the university comes from the former Turkish Prime Minister Adnan Menderes.
