Chemistry Research Laboratory is a facility at the University of Oxford in England. It is part of the Department of Chemistry in the university.Queen Elizabeth II opened the building on 20 February 2004, which replaced the older Dyson Perrins Laboratory not far away in the university's Science Area. It has five floors covering approximately 17,000 sq.m of laboratory and office space and cost £60 million to construct. The money was raised with grants from the JIF, Wolfson Foundation, EP Abraham Trust, Thomas Swan, the family of Landon T. Clay, the Salters' Company and a £20 million partnership with IP2IPO.The building is effectively split into two parts, the southern side of the building is given over to offices which house both academic and administrative staff, whereas the northern side of the building houses the laboratories and write up areas. Splitting the two sides, there is a canteen on the lower ground floor, which can be crossed via the use of bridges on higher floors. The Laboratory is located on the corner of South Parks Road and Mansfield Road, to the south of the main Science Area.

Mansfield College, Oxford is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. The college was founded in Birmingham in 1838 as a college for Nonconformist students. It moved to Oxford in 1886 and was renamed Mansfield College after George Mansfield and his sister Elizabeth. In 1995 a royal charter was awarded giving the institution full college status. The college grounds are located on Mansfield Road, near the centre of Oxford. As of February 2018, the college comprises 231 undergraduates, 158 graduates, 34 visiting students, and 67 fellows and academics. The principal of the college since 2018 is Helen Mountfield, a barrister and legal scholar.

The Dyson Perrins Laboratory is in the science area of the University of Oxford and was the main centre for research into organic chemistry of the University from its foundation in 1916 until its closure as a research laboratory in 2003. Until 2018, parts of the building were used as teaching laboratories in which undergraduate students were trained in practical organic chemistry. It was founded with an endowment from Charles Dyson Perrins, heir to the Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce company, and stands on the north side of South Parks Road in Oxford.

The Department of Plant Sciences, at the University of Oxford, England, was a former Oxford department that researched plant and fungal biology. It was part of the university's Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division. From 1 August 2022 its functionality merged with the Department of Zoology to become the Department of Biology at the University of Oxford.

The Vere Harmsworth Library is a dependent library of the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.The library is the university's principal research library for the study of United States history and politics and is housed on the upper floors of the Rothermere American Institute, located on South Parks Road in central Oxford, England. It is named in honour of Vere Harmsworth, 3rd Viscount Rothermere, chairman of Daily Mail and General Trust, who was prominent in raising funds and support for the construction of the building. The Vere Harmsworth Library has an extensive collection of printed primary and secondary literature, and a wide range of microfilm and online primary sources. About 80% of the library's printed collection is available as open-shelf material, with the remainder, including all works published before 1920, held underground in a climate-controlled bookstack. The library and institute were opened by US President Bill Clinton in May 2001.Since December 2019, the Vere Harmsworth Library has hosted the Radcliffe Science Library whilst it is under refurbishment.

The Rothermere American Institute is a department of the University of Oxford dedicated to the interdisciplinary and comparative study of the United States of America and its place in the world. Named after the Harmsworth family, Viscounts Rothermere, it was opened in May 2001 by former US President Bill Clinton. It hosts conferences, lectures and seminars in the fields of American history, politics, foreign relations, and literature. Guests and speakers have included Queen Elizabeth, former US President Jimmy Carter, Jesse Jackson, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Lord Patten of Barnes. The institute hosts four of the university's chairs and two visiting professorships.The institute's current director is Adam I. P. Smith. It offers visiting fellowships to scholars of American studies, scholarships to study for a doctorate at Oxford in US history or politics, and various travel awards. Oxford University's annual Esmond Harmsworth Lecture in American Arts and Letters is held there.

Mansfield Road is a road in central Oxford, England. It runs north-south with two of Oxford University's colleges on it, Mansfield College and Harris Manchester College, and Queen Elizabeth House which houses the Oxford Department of International Development. To the north is South Parks Road and the University's main Science Area. To the south is Holywell Street. Also off this road to the east near its southern end is Jowett Walk, named after Benjamin Jowett, a Master of Balliol College in Victorian times. On the northern corner with Jowett Walk is the former Geography Department of the University, since 2006 the Oxford Department of International Development (No. 3 Mansfield Road). Savile Road is a cul-de-sac to the west with New College School (associated with New College in Holywell Street close by) just to the north. The University Club sports ground, for use by graduate students and University staff, is based on Mansfield Road, and hosts a football team named after the road, Mansfield Road Football Club, playing in the Morrells of Oxford Premier League, and the Mansfield Road Cricket Club, or Oxford University Club Cricket Club (OUCCC).The Oxford University Club Hurriers (OUCH) were formerly known as the Mansfield Road Runners.Halifax House, a social club for people associated with Oxford University, was located to the east of the northern end of Mansfield Road at 8 South Parks Road from 1961. The building has since been demolished to make way for new university science facilities. Evidence of Bronze Age barrows together with later prehistoric and early Roman field systems was found on the site.

The Department of Earth Sciences is the Earth Sciences department of the University of Oxford, England, which is part of the university's Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division. The department is based in the Earth Sciences building on South Parks Road in the Science Area.

The Sir William Dunn School of Pathology is a department within the University of Oxford. Its research programme includes the cellular and molecular biology of pathogens, the immune response, cancer and cardiovascular disease. It teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the medical sciences. The school is named for Sir William Dunn, 1st Baronet, of Lakenheath, whose will provided the initial funding. It is located towards the east end of South Parks Road, to the north of the city centre.

South Parks Road is a road in Oxford, England. It runs east–west past the main Science Area of the University of Oxford. Many of the university science departments are located nearby or face the road, including parts of the geography, zoology, chemistry, psychology and physiology departments. Also on the road is Rhodes House. To the west, the road adjoins Parks Road at a T junction with the Radcliffe Science Library just to the north. To the east, the road bends sharply south at Linacre College and becomes St Cross Road. A cycle route continues east towards New Marston, crossing the River Cherwell. About halfway along South Parks Road, Mansfield Road adjoins to the south. Mansfield College is close to South Parks Road in this section. In December 2018 it was announced that the proposed new graduate college of the University, Parks College, opening in September 2020, will be located on South Parks Road.The road has been the scene of protests by animal rights protesters because of a new animal testing facility that has been built here. Pro-Test has been formed in reaction to the activities of the animal rights movement.
