Santpoort Zuid railway station is located in Santpoort-Zuid, the Netherlands. The station opened 1 May 1867 on the Haarlem–Uitgeest railway. The station has 2 platforms.

Santpoort-Noord (Dutch pronunciation: [sɑntpoːrt noːrt]) or North Santpoort is a village in the municipality of Velsen in the Dutch province of North Holland. It lies about 6 km (3.7 mi) north of Haarlem. Santpoort developed in the dunes near the Brederode Castle. In 1870, a flower bulb settlement developed near Santpoort. In 1926, the settlement was divided in Santpoort-Noord and Santpoort-Zuid. Santpoort became a commuter's town in the 20th century.

Schoten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsxoːtə(n)] (listen)) is a former village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It was located between Haarlem and Santpoort. Schoten was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1927, when it was merged with Haarlem. The municipality consisted of the northern part of the current municipality of Haarlem, north of the old city, between the Delft and Spaarne rivers.

Bloemendaal railway station is located in Haarlem, on the border of Bloemendaal, the Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 May 1900 on the Haarlem–Uitgeest railway. The station has 2 platforms. The station building now serves as conference and meeting center.

Brederode Castle (Dutch: Kasteel Brederode), also called the Ruins of Brederode (Dutch: Ruïne van Brederode), is located near Santpoort-Zuid. The castle was founded in the second half of the 13th century by William I van Brederode (1215–1285). William was a descendant of the lords van Teylingen, who were related to the counts of Holland. The castle formed part of the high lordship Brederode, which had been given in loan in the 13th century to the lords of Brederode by the count of Holland. The name Brederode is a reference to a wooded area called Brede Roede (literally: broad wood), that was cleared and on which the castle was built. The castle was at first not more than a tower, but around 1300 Dirk II van Brederode had the tower pulled down and replaced with a proper castle.

Chapeau! is a defunct restaurant located in Bloemendaal in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 2003–2011. In 2012, the restaurant was rewarded two Michelin stars. The retained the two stars until its closure. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16.0 out of 20 points.Last head chef was Jan Sobecky. Former head chefs that earned Michelin stars with Chapeau! were Roland Veldhuizen (2003–2005) and Jeroen Granemann (2005–2009). The restaurant closed down on 1 August 2016.Chapeau! was a member of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise.

Haarlem Stadion (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦaːrlɛm ˌstaːdiˌjɔn]) is a stadium in Sportweg 8, Haarlem, Netherlands, and the home stadium of the Dutch amateur football club Haarlem Kennemerland. Formerly home of the defunct professional football club HFC Haarlem, the stadium is located in the north of Haarlem. It was built in 1907, with renovations in 1947 and during the eighties, including the replacement of the south stand, which is an all-seater stand. Today, the stadium consists of two all-seater stands, with the east and west stands now unused since they no longer conform to the modern safety standards of today's football. The total capacity is 3,442 with 600 seats allocated to the visiting team.

Schoterveense Molen is a windmill in Haarlem located at Wipwatermolen Heussensstraat in the former municipality of Schoten. It is registered as a Rijksmonument. This windmill stands as silent witness to the heritage of a defunct organization called Waterschap De Schoterveenpolder, that ended in 1935. A commemorative plaque was attached in 1891 by the last directors of that organization after some maintenance work was carried out. The polder was once over 206 hectares (515 acres), but has been reduced to half an acre due to surrounding city expansion. Between 1920 and 1923 its pumping function was transferred to an electric pumping station on the Delft canal further west. This made the mill redundant, which was necessary to strip it of its "wind rights" that prevented building expansion in the neighborhood.It is situated quite close to the Huis ter Cleeff and was witness to the inquartering of the Spaniards under the Duke of Alva, which explains why the small canal next to it was called the Spanse-vaart and further towards the river Spaarne a street situated along the former route of the canal is called Spaansevaartstraat. Inspection in the 1950s brought to light some carpenters' marks in the foundations that go back to the 16th-century and as wipmolen De Stoop it was possibly built by the Spaniard troops during the siege of Haarlem.

De Vrienden van Jacob is a restaurant in Santpoort, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star for the period 2006–present.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points.Head chef of De Vrienden van Jacob is Alain Alders.De restaurant is part of the country estate and hotel Duin en Kruidberg. In 2008, the restaurant was closed for five months due to extensive renovations to the restaurant and the hotel. The estate is over a 100 years old. Originally it was a conference centre and holiday resort for staff of ABN AMRO. In 2002 the hotel was opened up for the general public and restaurant De Vrienden van Jacob established.

Duin en Kruidberg is a stately home in Santpoort, near Haarlem, the Netherlands. Kruidberg started as a summer house for rich merchants from Amsterdam, then it became a hunting lodge of the prince of Orange, the future king-stadholder, William III (1650–1702). The plans for the Dutch invasion of England were drawn up here, which culminated in the Glorious Revolution of 1688. The estate merged with neighbouring Duin en Berg into Duin en Kruidberg in the 19th century. The current house was constructed by Jacob Theodoor Cremer around 1900 in Dutch Renaissance Revival architecture. The Cremers hosted royalty at the house and held hunting events as well. It was and is one of the largest country houses in the Netherlands. After the Second World War, it became a holiday resort for the employees of a large Dutch bank, ABN AMRO. Later, it was opened for the general public as well. Today, the country house is a hotel restaurant. Most of the surrounding estate is owned by Vereniging Natuurmonumenten and is open for the general public.

The ruins of the Huis ter Kleef castle are located in the city gardens of Haarlem.

Hockey Club Bloemendaal (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈblumə(n)daːl]), commonly known as Bloemendaal, is a Dutch field hockey club based in Bloemendaal, North Holland. It was established on 26 April 1895, and is one of the oldest field hockey clubs in the Netherlands. Originally, the club also played bandy. HC Bloemendaal is one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands, with the men's team competing for the title in the highest league ("Hoofdklasse") nearly every year.
