De Weere, Opmeer

Harderwijk is a hamlet in the northwestern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Opmeer, North Holland, about 11 km north of Hoorn.

Abbekerk is a small city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Medemblik, and lies about 9 km north of Hoorn.

Benningbroek is a village in the northwest Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Medemblik, North Holland about 40 km north of Amsterdam. On the western side, Benningbroek has merged with Sijbekarspel. The village was first mentioned around 1338 as Bennenbroech, and means "swampy land of the people of Benne (person)". Bennebroek developed in the 11th century as a peat excavation settlement.The Dutch Reformed church is a single aisled church with a tall spire from the 16th century. The choir was demolished at the end of the 18th century.Benningbroek was home to 461 people in 1840. In 1887, a joint railway station with Sijbekarspel opened on the Hoorn to Medemblik railway line. The line closed in 1941.

Sijbekarspel is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Medemblik, and lies about 10 km northwest of Hoorn. Sijbekarsel consists of one long road, with a ribbon of buildings around it. On the east, it is connected to Benningbroek.

Lambertschaag is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Medemblik, and lies about 12 km north of Hoorn. The village of Lambertschaag is built along one road, going from Abbekerk on the south to the Wieringermeer polder on the north.

Wadway (West Frisian: Wadwei) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Opmeer and Medemblik. It is located about 7 km northwest of Hoorn. The village was first mentioned in 1256 as Waddeweye, and means "road" and "fordable place". Wadway declared its independence in 1796, and is nicknamed Republiek. Wadway was home to 100 people in 1840.The former Dutch Reformed church is a single aisled church. The tower was built around 1450. It started to deteriorate in the 20th century, and was used a stable for sheep by a farmer. In 1966, the church was bought by Stichting Wadway. It was restored and opened in 1969 as a theatre church.

Gouwe is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Opmeer, and lies about 11 km northwest of Hoorn. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1437 as "bij de Gowe", and refers to a stream. The etymology of the word is unclear. The centre of the hamlet has place name sign, however the remainder of the hamlet is unmarked. It used to home to 190 people in 1840.

Spanbroek is a small city in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Opmeer, and lies about 9 km (6 mi) northwest of Hoorn.

Aartswoud (West Frisian: Ierswoud) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland, part of the municipality of Opmeer. It lies about twelve kilometres (7.5 mi) northeast of Heerhugowaard. Aartswoud has been inhabited since the Neolithic, and a church may have existed as early as 1395; the village still has a 16th-century church tower. Formerly a harbor settlement on the Zuiderzee, it became landlocked after the Wieringermeer was created. The village sits on the Westfriese Omringdijk, a dike completed in 1250 that protects an area of 800 km2 (310 sq mi), and is now an accesspoint for several nature reserves that reclaim the land, the landscape, the water levels, and the flora and fauna of the earlier West-Frisian countryside.

Medemblik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmeːdəmblɪk] ) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia. It lies immediately south of the polder and former municipality of Wieringermeer.

Noordermeer is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 5 km east of Heerhugowaard. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1575 as Noore meer, and means "northern lake" which refers to the Baarsdorpermeer. Noorder ("northern") has been added to distinguish from Zuidermeer.Noordermeer is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Zuidermeer. It consists of about 25 houses.
