The Palace Theatre & Grand Hall Complex is a multi-purpose entertainment arena complex in Green Street, Kilmarnock, Scotland. The structure, which was originally opened as a corn exchange, is a Category A listed building.

The Kilmarnock War Memorial is a war memorial located in Kilmarnock Scotland. Built in 1927, it pays tribute to all those who fought in the First World War, Second World War, Korean War & the Northern Ireland Conflict. The building is accessible to the public, although access is restricted to a degree. The key is available from the Dick Institute, Elmbank Avenue, Kilmarnock KA1 3BU. Located across the road directly opposite the War Memorial. Wall mounted inside are commemorative plaques to the following: First World War (1914-1918), Second World War (1939-1945), Second World War - civilians, Korean War (1950-1953), Northern Ireland Conflict; The Troubles (1969-1998) Source; [1] Inside there is a figure cast in bronze, ‘The Victor’, whose head is bowed in silent contemplation of the cost of war.Interior Description: Hall of Remembrance with ionic pillars at the entrance. Inside there is a marble floor, There are 6 Bronze Plaques for WW1 and 2 for WW2 with names, also Brass Plaques for Korean war and Northern Ireland Casualties, and a Bronze Figure of Victory. Kilmarnock railway viaduct, known locally as The Viaduct, is a railway viaduct crossing the town centre of Kilmarnock, and was constructed between 1843 and 1850. The bridge begins at Kilmarnock railway station and leads to destinations in England. It is a most distinctive feature of the town centre with 23 masonry arches and defines the northern boundary of the town centre. It was built in the 1840s to enable the Glasgow–Kilmarnock line to continue to Carlisle.The structure is a Category B listed building and is owned by Historic Environment Scotland.

The Dick Institute is a museum and library in Kilmarnock, Scotland. It is an important cultural venue in the south-west of Scotland, featuring the largest museum and art gallery space in Ayrshire as well as the central library for East Ayrshire.

Kilmarnock ( kil-MAR-nək; Scots: Kilmaurnock; Scottish Gaelic: Cill Mheàrnaig, IPA: [kʲʰiːʎ ˈvaːɾnəkʲ]) is a town and former burgh in East Ayrshire situated in southwest Scotland. The town has served as the administrative centre of East Ayrshire Council since 1996 and is the regions main commercial and industrial centre.The town grew considerably during the 1870s and the towns growth subsumed the village of Bonnyton, and by the 1960s, new purpose built suburbs such as New Farm Loch were constructed to accommodate the increasing population of Kilmarnock. By mid–2020, the population of the town was estimated to be 46,970, making Kilmarnock the 14th most populated settlement in Scotland as well as the largest town in Ayrshire by population.The first passenger conveying railway in Scotland originated in Kilmarnock in 1812 as a horse-drawn 4 ft-gauge plateway and became known as the Kilmarnock and Troon Railway. The first printed collection of works by Scottish poet Robert Burns was published in 1786 in Kilmarnock. Poems, Chiefly in the Scottish Dialect, was published by John Wilson, and became known as the Kilmarnock Edition. The internationally best–selling whisky Johnnie Walker was established in the town in the 19th century and was produced and bottled at the Hill Street plant until closure in 2012, following an announcement by owners Diageo in 2009 that the plant would close as part of company restructuring.

On 4 February 2021, three separate fatal incidents occurred in Kilmarnock, Scotland. The incidents were thought to be linked and involved the same 40-year-old man, Steven Robertson. In the first incident, a woman died after being injured outside University Hospital Crosshouse. In the second incident, a woman died after being stabbed in the town. In the third incident, the man was killed in a road crash just off the A76.Armed Police Scotland officers responded to the scene at University Hospital Crosshouse before putting the site under a police lockdown. Police Scotland's Ayrshire division had ruled out any connection to the attacks being related to terrorism.On 5 February 2021, the police confirmed that a woman who had been injured outside University Hospital Crosshouse had died as a result of her injuries, whilst her daughter, a 24-year-old woman, who was stabbed at Portland Street also died as a result of her injuries. The man also later died from his injuries as a result of crashing his car on a road off the A76.The perpetrator, Steven Robertson, was later identified, and it was reported that he killed his ex-wife Emma Coupland, and step-daughter, Nicole Anderson.

Kilmarnock Cross is a public square in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland . In Rambles Around Kilmarnock (1875) Archibald R Adamson described it as "most spacious, although of a most peculiar form, having no less than seven streets branching off it. In the centre stands a marble statue of Sir James Shaw, who rose from a humble position to that of Lord Mayor of London", the square is part of the area nicknamed "the town" by locals. The seven streets (in clockwise order starting from the north) were Portland Street, Fore Street, Regent Street, Duke Street, Waterloo Street, King Street and Bank Street, and just north of Bank Street, but opening more on to Portland Street than the Cross itself, Croft Street. The heavy traffic in the town led to redevelopments in the 1970s which saw all traffic through this area of the town being stopped completely.

The George Hotel is a former 5–star hotel located in Kilmarnock, Scotland. The building was built in the 19th century and is "B" Listed. The building is situated on land at the top of Portland Street. This land was once the home of Kilmarnock Bowling Club. It was one of the top hotels in the area. The George was Kilmarnock's 5-star hotel. The hotel closed in 1920. There were plans for the hotel to be demolished when the Town Council purchased the property, but the plans were changed. The same year as the George Hotel closed part of the building was adapted and used as the George Cinema. The three-story building still remains today. The building still looks similar to the way it did in the days of the George Hotel. Nowadays the building is used by Mason Murphy as a furniture shop and the rest of the property is a disco.

The Burns Monument in Kay Park, Kilmarnock, Scotland, commemorates the poet Robert Burns (1759–1796). It is located at an elevated position within Kay Park, to the east of Kilmarnock Town Centre. The monument was opened in 1879, and is a category B listed building. In 2004, following years of neglect by the local council, fire destroyed most of the building. What was left of the monument was incorporated into the new Burns Monument Centre which opened in 2009. In 2010 the centre was shortlisted for the Carbuncle Cup award run by Building Design.

The Titchfield Street drill hall is a former military installation in Kilmarnock.
