Beijing National Speed Skating Oval

The Olympic Green Hockey Field (simplified Chinese: 北京奥林匹克公园曲棍球场; traditional Chinese: 北京奧林匹克公園曲棍球場; pinyin: Běijīng Àolínpǐkè Gōngyuán Qūgùnqiú Chǎng) was one of nine temporary venues used for the 2008 Summer Olympics. It hosted the field hockey competitions during the Olympics and the football-5-a-side and 7-a-side events during the 2008 Summer Paralympics. It covered an area of 11.87 hectares with 2 pitches and could seat 17,002 fans. It became the home of China men's and women's national field hockey teams. It was torn down to make room for the Beijing National Speed Skating Oval.

The Olympic Green Archery Field (simplified Chinese: 北京奥林匹克公园射箭场; traditional Chinese: 北京奧林匹克公園射箭場; pinyin: Běijīng Àolínpǐkè Gōngyuán Shèjiànchǎng) was one of nine temporary venues for the 2008 Summer Olympics. It hosted the archery events.The field occupied 9.22 hectares and had a seating capacity of 5,000. After the games it was dismantled.

Olivier Strebelle (20 January 1927 – 29 July 2017) was a Belgian sculptor. Strebelle was born in Brussels, Belgium on 20 January 1927. His monumental (usually bronze) sculptures adorn many public places in Brussels as well as in Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United States. Strebelle was a prolific artist for more than 65 years, and his works are found in private collections and public settings around the world. His style has evolved from robust, organic abstract forms to the sinuous lines seen in Athletes Alley, on the site of the Beijing Olympic Games. His sculpture The Abduction of Europa (French: L'Enlèvement d'Europe) has been on display in the Square of Europe, Moscow since September 2002.

The China Open is an annual professional tennis tournament held in Beijing, China. It is played on outdoor hard courts at the National Tennis Center, and is held in late September and early October. The women's event is a WTA 1000 event on the WTA Tour, while the men's is an ATP 500 event on the ATP Tour. The China Open was first held in its current iteration in 2004 as a back-to-back event for four years, following from a prior Beijing event in 1993 to 1997. In 2008, it became a combined event for the first time. In 2006, the China Open became the first tournament outside the United States to use the Hawk-Eye system in match play.Novak Djokovic is the only player to have won the men's singles title six times and holds the distinction of having never lost a match at the China Open. Djokovic holds the record for consecutive championships with four titles. In men's doubles, the Bryan brothers are the only pair to have won consecutive titles. Svetlana Kuznetsova, Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwańska and Caroline Wozniacki hold the record for most titles won in women's singles, with two titles each.

The National Tennis Center (simplified Chinese: 国家网球中心; traditional Chinese: 國家網球中心; pinyin: Guójiā Wǎngqiú Zhōngxīn), is a tennis center located in the Olympic Green. It opened on 1 October 2007. It hosted the tennis preliminaries and finals of singles and doubles for men and women at the Beijing 2008 Olympics as well as the Paralympic wheelchair tennis competitions. In 2009, it became the home of the China Open.

The 2012 China Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 14th edition of the China Open for the men (16th for the women), and part of the ATP 500 Series of the 2012 ATP World Tour, and of the Premier Series of the 2012 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events were held at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing, China, from 1 October till 7 October 2012. Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka won the singles titles.

Lincuiqiao station (simplified Chinese: 林萃桥站; traditional Chinese: 林萃橋站; pinyin: Líncuìqiáo zhàn) is a station on Line 8 of the Beijing Subway. It is located in Beijing's Chaoyang District along the north-south Lincui Road (林萃路) just inside the North 5th Ring Road (middle section). It is located near the National Tennis Center and the Beijing National Speed Skating Oval.

It was part of ATP World Tour 500 series on the 2014 ATP World Tour, and the last WTA Premier Mandatory tournament of the 2014 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events were held at the National Tennis Center in Beijing, China, from September 27 to October 5, 2014.

The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Village (simplified Chinese: 北京奥运村; traditional Chinese: 北京奧運村; pinyin: Běijīng 2008 Àoyùn Cūn) is a complex of high-rise apartments in Beijing, China, which were opened to the public on July 27, 2008 and closed on August 27, 2008, in conjunction with the 2008 Summer Olympics. As an Olympic Village, it hosted the competitors and their coaches during the event. The village is located on 660,000 square meters (7,100,000 sq ft) of land which connects with the Olympic Forest and Stadium. It is also connected to two media villages which can host up to 7,000 media personnel. The village was designed to accommodate over 16,000 athletes while providing ample space for both the athletes' social and athletic needs. Of the $42 billion Beijing spent on hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics, $1.827 billion went to the Olympic Village.Safety was of extreme importance to athletes as well as their home countries. During the Olympics, extreme humidity and pollution were a problem, with the Czech team taking their own air measurements to ensure the health and safety of their athletes.After the Olympics, apartments on the Olympic Green have been transformed into a residential area. Due to this, for the 2022 Winter Olympics, there was a need to build another Olympic Village on a smaller scale. These new buildings are located in the southern area of Olympic Green at area of the former hockey and archery fields on the neighbour area of the National Olympic Sports Center.

Beishatan Station (simplified Chinese: 北沙滩站; traditional Chinese: 北沙灘站; pinyin: Běishātān Zhàn) is a station on Line 15 of the Beijing Subway. It was opened on December 28, 2014 as a part of the stretch between Wangjing West and Qinghuadongluxikou and is located between Olympic Green and Liudaokou stations.

The Olympic Forest Park is a large, man-made nature park situated at the north end of the Olympic Green in Beijing. Built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the park has two parts: the southern part is oval in shape and features Aohai lake in the center, and the northern side has a mountain that gives an excellent view of this part of the city. The northern part is outside of the 5th Ring Road. The park was designed by Sasaki and implemented by the Tsinghua Landscape Design Institute.The park features many walking paths and a jogging path. Several small islands in the lake are linked by bridges. The south-east end of the lake has a handful of carnival rides for children. The South Gate of Forest Park Station of the Beijing Subway is located at the south entrance to the park.
