Olympic Forest Park

Senlin Gongyuan Nanmen (Forest Park South Gate) station (simplified Chinese: 森林公园南门站; traditional Chinese: 森林公園南門站; pinyin: Sēnlín Gōngyuán Nánmén zhàn) is a station on Line 8 of the Beijing Subway. It is located at the south entrance to the Olympic Forest Park.

The Beijing Olympic Tower (Chinese: 北京奥林匹克塔; pinyin: Běijīng Àolínpǐkè Tǎ) is located on Kehui South Road, part of the Olympic Green in the Chaoyang District of Beijing, China. Construction began in 2011, three years after the 2008 Summer Olympics; it was completed in 2014, and opened on August 8, 2015. It is used strictly for observation; there is no provision for offices or apartments. The design was by a Chinese firm, China Architecture Design & Research Group; a Shenzhen architect alleged that the architects at the firm had plagiarized an award-winning earlier design of his.At 258 metres (846 ft) in height it is the second tallest tower in the city after the Central Radio & TV Tower, and the fourth-tallest structure in the city. Its design, with four smaller circular floors at different heights and positions below a larger top floor, is meant to echo the Olympic rings. The overall design was inspired by blades of grass; however it has also been likened to "huge nails".

The Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics Village (simplified Chinese: 北京奥运村; traditional Chinese: 北京奧運村; pinyin: Běijīng 2008 Àoyùn Cūn) is a complex of high-rise apartments in Beijing, China, which were opened to the public on July 27, 2008 and closed on August 27, 2008, in conjunction with the 2008 Summer Olympics. As an Olympic Village, it hosted the competitors and their coaches during the event. The village is located on 660,000 square meters (7,100,000 sq ft) of land which connects with the Olympic Forest and Stadium. It is also connected to two media villages which can host up to 7,000 media personnel. The village was designed to accommodate over 16,000 athletes while providing ample space for both the athletes' social and athletic needs. Of the $42 billion Beijing spent on hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics, $1.827 billion went to the Olympic Village.Safety was of extreme importance to athletes as well as their home countries. During the Olympics, extreme humidity and pollution were a problem, with the Czech team taking their own air measurements to ensure the health and safety of their athletes.After the Olympics, apartments on the Olympic Green have been transformed into a residential area. Due to this, for the 2022 Winter Olympics, there was a need to build another Olympic Village on a smaller scale. These new buildings are located in the southern area of Olympic Green at area of the former hockey and archery fields on the neighbour area of the National Olympic Sports Center.

The National Tennis Center (simplified Chinese: 国家网球中心; traditional Chinese: 國家網球中心; pinyin: Guójiā Wǎngqiú Zhōngxīn), is a tennis center located in the Olympic Green. It opened on 1 October 2007. It hosted the tennis preliminaries and finals of singles and doubles for men and women at the Beijing 2008 Olympics as well as the Paralympic wheelchair tennis competitions. In 2009, it became the home of the China Open.

The China Open is an annual professional tennis tournament held in Beijing, China. It is played on outdoor hard courts at the National Tennis Center, and is held in late September and early October. The women's event is a WTA 1000 event on the WTA Tour, while the men's is an ATP 500 event on the ATP Tour. The China Open was first held in its current iteration in 2004 as a back-to-back event for four years, following from a prior Beijing event in 1993 to 1997. In 2008, it became a combined event for the first time. In 2006, the China Open became the first tournament outside the United States to use the Hawk-Eye system in match play.Novak Djokovic is the only player to have won the men's singles title six times and holds the distinction of having never lost a match at the China Open. Djokovic holds the record for consecutive championships with four titles. In men's doubles, the Bryan brothers are the only pair to have won consecutive titles. Svetlana Kuznetsova, Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwańska and Caroline Wozniacki hold the record for most titles won in women's singles, with two titles each.

Lincuiqiao station (simplified Chinese: 林萃桥站; traditional Chinese: 林萃橋站; pinyin: Líncuìqiáo zhàn) is a station on Line 8 of the Beijing Subway. It is located in Beijing's Chaoyang District along the north-south Lincui Road (林萃路) just inside the North 5th Ring Road (middle section). It is located near the National Tennis Center and the Beijing National Speed Skating Oval.

Olivier Strebelle (20 January 1927 – 29 July 2017) was a Belgian sculptor. Strebelle was born in Brussels, Belgium on 20 January 1927. His monumental (usually bronze) sculptures adorn many public places in Brussels as well as in Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United States. Strebelle was a prolific artist for more than 65 years, and his works are found in private collections and public settings around the world. His style has evolved from robust, organic abstract forms to the sinuous lines seen in Athletes Alley, on the site of the Beijing Olympic Games. His sculpture The Abduction of Europa (French: L'Enlèvement d'Europe) has been on display in the Square of Europe, Moscow since September 2002.

The 2013 China Open was a tennis tournament that took place on outdoor hard courts. It was the 15th edition of the China Open for the men and (17th for the women), and was part of the ATP 500 Series of the 2013 ATP World Tour, and the Premier Series of the 2013 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events were held at the National Tennis Center in Beijing, China, from September 28 to October 6, 2013.

The 2014 China Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 16th edition of the China Open for the men (18th for the women). It was part of ATP World Tour 500 series on the 2014 ATP World Tour, and the last WTA Premier Mandatory tournament of the 2014 WTA Tour. Both the men's and the women's events were held at the National Tennis Center in Beijing, China, from September 27 to October 5, 2014.

The China Science and Technology Museum (Chinese: 中国科学技术馆) is a national-level science and technology museum located in Chaoyang, Beijing, China. Established in 1988, it is affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology.The museum is "the only comprehensive museum of science and technology at national level in China," according to the official website of the Beijing government.

The Olympic Green (Chinese: 奥林匹克森林公园; lit. 'Olympic Forest Park') is an Olympic Park in Chaoyang, Beijing, China. The three main facilities there include the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), Water Cube, and National Indoor Stadium. Olympic Green was originally constructed for the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2008 Summer Paralympics. Since then, the streets around the park have been used for an exhibition street race of the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2011, after a race at Goldenport Park Circuit in the vicinity. It again served as an Olympic Park when Beijing hosted the 2022 Winter Olympics and the 2022 Winter Paralympics.

The National Speed Skating Oval (The Ice Ribbon) is a speed skating arena which is the only new venue built on Beijing's Olympic Green for the Winter Olympics. It hosted the speed skating competitions at the 2022 Winter Olympics. It was built on the location of the former Olympic Green Hockey Field used for field hockey event and the Olympic Green Archery Field used for the archery event. It can accommodate 12,000 spectators (6,800 permanent and 5,200 temporary seats) according to the bid book. After the games it is foreseen to use it as a public skating venue and for ice hockey clubs. Designed by Populous and Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, construction began in mid-2017, and was completed in 2019. First competition was held on October 8, 2021. It has an area of 12,000 square meters, being the largest speed skating venue in Asia. The facade is highlighted by 22 "ice ribbon" with a length of 622 meters each. The second floor has a Temple of Heaven-inspired curved curtain wall system.
