Bellahouston Academy is a non-denominational state-run secondary school in Bellahouston, south-west Glasgow, Scotland.

Bellahouston (Scottish Gaelic: Baile Ùisdean, Scots: Hughstoun) is a district in the southwest of Glasgow. It is bordered by Dumbreck, Ibrox, Pollokshields, Craigton.

Cessnock is an area in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated south of the River Clyde and was part of the former Burgh of Govan. Cessnock's main street is Paisley Road West, which runs west in the direction of Paisley and east through Kinning Park to Paisley Toll.

Dumbreck railway station is a railway station in Dumbreck, a district of Glasgow, Scotland. The station is managed by ScotRail and lies on the Paisley Canal Line, 1¾ miles (3 km) west of Glasgow Central, close to the M77 motorway. It is accessed from the Nithsdale Road at the bridge over the railway. Dumbreck railway station is also the closest station for the Bellahouston Park.

Ibrox subway station is a station serving the Ibrox area of Glasgow, Scotland. The station was known as Copland Road until 1977. The station's surface buildings were replaced during the Subway's modernisation programme, with the main entrance still located on Copland Road. The station now has a side platform arrangement for boarding the trains. Particularly of note nearby is Ibrox Stadium, home of Rangers F.C. The station is extremely busy on matchdays, with an additional entrance on Woodville Street opening to accommodate the vastly increased volume of passenger traffic. However, the station is generally quiet at other times and records around 540,000 boardings per year.Also nearby is Glasgow Science Centre, although SPT suggest that Cessnock station is the alighting point for the Science Centre, as it is closer.

Ibrox Park was a football ground in Ibrox, Scotland. It was the home ground of Rangers from 1887 until they moved to the adjacent second Ibrox in 1899. The ground staged the Scottish Cup Final four times and also three Scotland international matches.

The 1971 Ibrox disaster was a crush among the crowd at an Old Firm football game (Rangers v Celtic), which led to 66 deaths and more than 200 injuries. It happened on 2 January 1971 in an exit stairway at Ibrox Park (now Ibrox Stadium) in Glasgow, Scotland. It was the worst British football disaster until the Bradford City stadium fire in Bradford, England, in 1985. This was followed by 97 deaths in the Hillsborough disaster in Sheffield, England, in 1989. The stadium's owner, Rangers F.C., was later ruled to be at fault in a sheriff's judgement on one of the deaths. Rangers did not dispute this ruling, and was sued for damages in 60 other cases brought by relatives of the dead.

Ibrox () is a suburb of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated south of the River Clyde and is part of the former burgh of Govan. The origin of the name Ibrox is unclear. It is often said to come from the Gaelic àth bruic, meaning "badger ford", but this is unconfirmed.It is within walking distance of the Pacific Quay Media Park, housing BBC Scotland, STV and other production companies along with the Glasgow Science Centre. The opening of the Clyde Arc provides a road connection to the other side of the River Clyde. Ibrox is served by Ibrox subway station of the Glasgow Subway system.The home of football club Rangers F.C. is located at Ibrox Stadium.Ibrox Primary School is a primary school located on Edmiston Drive, the main road through Ibrox, directly across from Ibrox Stadium. The building was designed by Bruce and Hay and was opened in 1906. The school was originally known as Ibrox Board School, was built for the Govan Parish School Board.Ibrox is home to an original artwork by South African artist Faith47. Located on Copland Road opposite the entrance to Fairley Street, the piece was completed during the preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Sherbrooke Mosspark Parish Church, also known as Sherbrooke St Gilbert's Church, is a congregation of the Church of Scotland serving the Pollokshields, Dumbreck and Mosspark areas on the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. It is within the Church of Scotland's Presbytery of Glasgow.

Cessnock subway station is a station on the Glasgow Subway that serves the eastern part of Ibrox and the Cessnock area of the city. It is also the nearest station to Festival Park. Along with Kelvinhall, it is one of only two stations to retain its pre-modernisation surface buildings and entryway. It is also the only station to retain its pre-modernisation livery and signage. The entrance is at the east end of Walmer Crescent and leads under the residential housing. It was opened in 1896 and modernised in 1977–1980. The station retains its original island platform configuration, and has no escalators. In 1989 when work was being carried out to restore an adjoining building designed by Alexander Greek Thomson two metal arches bearing the station's name and in a style echoing that of Greek Thomson were added at street level. The idea was that these would draw attention to the steps down to the station's entrance which is located in the basement of a tenement, just below street level. When they were to be removed in a later renovation of the station, public opposition forced the restoration of one of the arches which had been taken down, and ended plans to remove the other.There are 520,000 boardings per year at this station.The station is located close to the Glasgow Science Centre, BBC Scotland, STV Studios, and the SEC Centre. Ceessnock is one of the stations mentioned in Cliff Hanley's song The Glasgow Underground.

Walmer Crescent, situated in Cessnock, Glasgow, Scotland, consists of a curved row of spacious tenement flats and houses, designed by the architect Alexander Thomson and built between 1857 and 1862. The houses of the crescent are protected as a category A listed building. The surrounding area was designated as Walmer Crescent Conservation Area on 16 July 1975.Externally the block is a seamless whole, but it is made up of seven individual buildings (including the one in Cessnock Street). The tenement has three floors over a raised basement, with a flight of steps up to the front doors. Every individual building has three doors. A center door leads to the close and staircase. The two outer doors are for the main door flats which originally had two floors, the ground floor and basement. Around the basement areas there are cast iron railings with arcaded detailing.The most prominent features of the facade are the twinned square bay windows in Walmer Crescent proper, rising from the basement past the first floor, providing a balcony for the top floor flats. The main elevation of the building curves gently around the crescent.The terminal pavilion at the western end is angular; in contrast, the one between the Walmer Crescent and Cessnock Street sections has a curved mock-turret.There is a row of single story shops where the front gardens used to be. The shops were built in 1907/08 and originally had decorative balustrading running along their length.The Alexander 'Greek' Thomson Society is based at number 7 Walmer Crescent. Cessnock station on the Glasgow Subway, is located beneath the tenement and opened in 1896.
