Rea Magnet Wire Company, Inc. is one of the world's largest manufacturers of magnet and nonferrous wire products. Rea produces copper, aluminum and brass-insulated magnet wire and bare wire used in the manufacture of motors, transformers and coils. Rea also manufactures a number of specialty wire products.

Camp Thomas A. Scott, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was a Railway Operating Battalion training center for the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1942 to 1944 and a prisoner of war camp during World War II. It was named for Thomas A. Scott, who served as the fourth president of the Pennsylvania Railroad from 1874-1880. As the United States Assistant Secretary of War in 1861, Scott was instrumental in using railroads for military purposes during the American Civil War.

Fort Miami, originally called Fort St. Philippe or Fort des Miamis, were a pair of French built palisade forts established at Kekionga, the principal village of the Miami. These forts were situated where the St. Joseph River and St. Marys River merge to form the Maumee River in Northeastern Indiana, where present day Fort Wayne is located. The forts and their key location on this confluence allowed for a significant hold on New France (and later the Old Northwest) by whomever was able to control the area, both militarily for its strategic location and economically as it served as a gateway and hotbed for lucrative trade markets such as fur. It therefore played a pivotal role in a number of conflicts including the French and Indian Wars, Pontiac's War, and the Northwest Indian War, while other battles occurred nearby including La Balme's Defeat and the Harmar campaign. The first construct was a small trading post built by Jean Baptiste Bissot, Sieur de Vincennes around 1706, while the first fortified fort was finished in 1722, and the second in 1750. It is the predecessor to the Fort Wayne.

Indiana Institute of Technology (Indiana Tech) is a private university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was founded in 1930 as Indiana Technical College by John A. Kalbfleisch, who was also the school's first president. The university today is organized into three colleges. The university specializes in career-oriented degree programs in business, engineering, computer science, education, criminal justice, and others. In addition to the traditional semester-long class format, Indiana Tech also offers accelerated degree programs and online programs via its College of Professional Studies. Beyond its main campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana Tech maintains regional classroom and enrollment centers in 13 locations, including Elkhart, Evansville, Fishers, Greenwood, Huntington, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, Kendallville, Mishawaka, Munster, and Warsaw in Indiana; and Louisville and Fort Wright in Kentucky. Indiana Tech also has two enrollment centers in the Chicago area, located in Naperville and Wilmette, Illinois. Student athletics, both organized and intramural, are an important part of student life. Indiana Tech fields eleven men's and eleven women's teams that compete in the NAIA, in which Indiana Tech is a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference for all intercollegiate athletics.

Concordia College was an educational institution of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) whose main purpose was to prepare men to enter one of the synod's seminaries. It was founded as a German-style gymnasium (i.e., a combined high school and junior college) in Perry County, Missouri, in 1839. It was moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1847, and ultimately to Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1861. In 1935, the high school department of the school was separated from the junior college to form Concordia Lutheran High School. Concordia College was closed in 1957 when the LCMS opened Concordia Senior College on a new campus in Fort Wayne..The former campus was purchased by the Indiana Institute of Technology.

Parkview Health System, founded in 1878 as Fort Wayne City Hospital is a network of 10 community hospitals and more than 100 clinic locations in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. The not-for-profit Parkview Health System is the region's largest employer with more than 14,000. Parkview Physicians Group is also part of the Parkview Health, and includes more than 900 providers in more than 45 specialties.

St. Peter's Square is a historic Catholic complex and national historic district located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. The district encompasses five contributing buildings associated with St. Peter's Catholic Church. They are the Gothic Revival style St. Peter's Catholic Church (1892), former St. Peter's School (1904, 1914–1915), boiler house (1905-1915), and the Colonial Revival style John Suelzer House (1911) and garage (1920s). The house serves as the church rectory.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Paul Harding High School was a High school located on the southeast side of Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. Harding was a part of East Allen County Schools system located in Allen County, Indiana.

The county seat and largest city is Fort Wayne, the second largest city in Indiana.Allen County is included in the Fort Wayne Metropolitan Statistical Area and the Fort Wayne–Huntington–Auburn Combined Statistical Area. The county is named for Colonel John Allen, an attorney and Kentucky state senator who was killed in the War of 1812. Fort Wayne, founded at the confluences of the Maumee, St. Joseph, and St. Marys rivers, was chosen as the county seat in May 1824.

William C. and Clara Hagerman House is a historic home located at Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was built about 1923, and is a two-story, side gabled, American Craftsman style brick dwelling. The house features wide, overhanging eaves with decorative, exposed triangular braces and leaded glass and colored glass windows. Also on the property is a contributing garage.: 4–5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. It is located in the North Anthony Boulevard Historic District.

East Allen University (EAU) is a high school within the East Allen County School system in Indiana. Part of the former Paul Harding High School (a traditional grade 7 through 12 junior high / high school), EAU was formed in 2012 after a reorganization that saw the senior high school (grades 9 through 12) divided from the newly created Paul Harding Junior High School (grades 7 and 8).Not a university in the traditional sense, the name East Allen University refers to the program offered in which students may obtain both a high school diploma and an associate's degree within the four year (grades 9 - 12) program. The associate degree is granted in partnership with Vincennes University, and the credits earned can transfer to any public university within the state of Indiana.
