Metcalf, Holliston, Massachusetts

Hydrant No. 3 House is a historic fire station on Washington Street in the former village of Metcalf in Holliston, Massachusetts. It is referred to locally as the Metcalf Pump House. The single-story wood-frame building was built c. 1871, and was designed to house a single period fire engine. The building's principal ornamentation is its hose tower, which is topped by an Italianate-style cupola. It is the town's oldest surviving fire house, and one of only a few 19th-century municipal buildings in the town. The building remained in service until 1899. The original No. 3 engine is in storage, and was restored in 1950. The building is now maintained by volunteers.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Thomas Hollis Historic District encompasses the historic civic and commercial heart of Holliston, Massachusetts. It extends along Washington Street (Massachusetts Routes 16 and 126 for about one mile, between Winter Street and Highland Street. Incorporated in 1724, this area now includes a well-preserved collection of predominantly 19th century architecture. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

WHHB (99.9 FM) is a high school radio station broadcasting a Variety format. Licensed to Holliston, Massachusetts, the station serves the MetroWest area of Greater Boston. The station is owned by Holliston High School. Music from various genres is played during the shows, such as heavy metal, rock, hip-hop, and oldies. Some shows also include pithy, hard-hitting running commentary on local, national, and international topics. Founded in 1971 by William P Curboy, Donald LeFebvre, John McColgan, John Pacitto, and John Shannahan. WHHB is one of a dying breed of completely student-operated, educational radio stations in the US. It currently operates only during weekdays with various two-hour time slots run by different students. There are also half-hour morning slots usually contained by one to two shows, and during its Spring '06 season, approximately 106 students applied for shows, causing weekend slots to appear for that season. Since then such measures have been unnecessary as there have not been so many students. Although there has been speculation for adding automated programming after hours, the Barnstable station WQRC or the 99.9 translator of WJDA in Quincy can be heard usually after the station is off air. WHHB's range is not a perfect circle since the transmitting antenna shares the same tower as other radio equipment. It has been reached by listeners as far as downtown Framingham, Southboro and even Wellesley.

Braggville is a former postal village located in Massachusetts, now within the towns of Holliston in Middlesex County, Medway in Norfolk County and Milford in Worcester County. Though people had settled the land long before the incorporation of the town of Holliston, Braggville's unofficial history began on March 8, 1785 when Alexander Bragg purchased farmland there. The village itself however, would be named for his nephew, Colonel Arial Bragg, Holliston's first shoe and boot maker as well as the agrarian community's first wholesale manufacturer. Braggville was also the site of several quarries of Milford pink granite, which supplied buildings and railroad projects in the United States in the late 19th century. After a century of economic prowess, the village fell into decline following the First World War.

The East Holliston Historic District encompasses an area of early colonial settlement and later development in Holliston, Massachusetts. The linear district extends along Washington Street (Massachusetts Route 16) between Old Locust Street and the northeast junction with Curve Street, and then the full length of Curve Street. The area includes some of Holliston's early settlements, including the site of its first meeting house, near Curve Street and Jarr Brook. In the late 18th and early 19th centuries Jarr Brook became a point of industrial development, leading to the construction of a number of Greek Revival houses. Significant construction ended in the district around 1870.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Rabbit Hill Historic District is a historic district roughly bounded by Highland, Main, Franklin, and Milford Streets in Medway, Massachusetts. It encompasses about 40 acres (16 ha) and much of a 19th-century village that developed around the Second Congregation Church (now the West Medway Community Church), and industrial facilities that developed along the Charles River just outside the district. Most of the residential properties in the district are Federal or Greek Revival in character.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Evergreen Cemetery is an active cemetery at Evergreen and Cottage Streets in Medway, Massachusetts. Founded in 1750, it is one of the community's oldest cemeteries, with burials including many of its early families, as well as veterans of the American Revolutionary War and American Civil War. It also houses the burial of Joseph Barbur Jr., a regionally prominent funerary stone carver. The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Addington Gardner House is a historic First Period house in Sherborn, Massachusetts. Its oldest portions dating to about 1730, it is one of the community's oldest surviving buildings, and a good example of transitional First-Second Period style. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
