Mahanama College

The Ministry of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment is the central government ministry of Sri Lanka responsible for telecommunication and digital infrastructure. The ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing national policy on telecommunication and digital infrastructure and other subjects which come under its purview. The current Minister of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment and Deputy Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure are Harin Fernando and Tharanath Basnayake respectively. The ministry's secretary is Wasantha Deshapriya.

Ladies' College is a private girls' school in Colombo, Sri Lanka, founded on behalf of the Church Missionary Society by Lilian Nixon in 1900. The school is managed by the Anglican Church of Ceylon, and falls under the Diocese of Colombo.

Kollupitiya, also known as Colpetty is a major neighbourhood of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The name Kollupitiya comes from the name of a chief from Kandy who had unsuccessfully attempted to dethrone the last king of Kandy. During the period of British and Dutch administration, a brewery had commenced in Kollupitiya which converted coconut treacle into liquor. Nowadays, the suburb is a thriving commercial area containing fashionable high-end shopping malls. Some foreign embassies are located in Kollupitiya. The Prime Minister's House (Colombo) is located in Colombo 3 just two blocks south of Maha Nuge Gardens; a prominent private laneway in Kollupitiya.

The Srawasthi Mandiraya is the primary office complex of the Western Provincial Council, located in Cinnamon Gardens, a suburb of Colombo. Built in 1913, it saw use for most of its lifetime as a hostel for Members of Parliament from outside Colombo who were attending Parliamentary sittings. It is located along Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha (formerly Edinburgh Crescent).

The Navarangahala ("New Theatre"), in Colombo, is one of the main national theatres of Sri Lanka.

The Lionel Wendt Art Centre is a major art centre and theatre in Colombo, Sri Lanka, dedicated to the memory of Sri Lankan photographic artist Lionel Wendt. It combines live theatre and art exhibition, with two exhibition galleries and two theatres. It is managed by a trust established by an Act of Parliament.

Thurstan College (Sinhala: තර්ස්ටන් විද්‍යාලය) is a national school for boys in Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka, providing primary and secondary education. It is located in the Cinnamon Gardens neighbourhood of Colombo 7 near the University of Colombo and the Royal College Colombo. The college is regulated by the central government. Thurstan College has an enrollment of 3500+ students. It prepares students for examinations conducted by the Ministry of Education. Its facilities include science and computer laboratories and a library. The school has more than 30 clubs and societies. It is easily recognised by the sacred Nuga tree in the grounds. The college colours are blue, gold and red. The college motto is "lead me from darkness to light".

The A 0 is an A-Grade road in Sri Lanka. It connects Kollupitiya and Sri Jayawardanapura, the nation's capital. The highway passes through Rajagiriya.

The University of Colombo (informally Colombo University or UoC) is a public research university located primarily in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It is the oldest institution of modern higher education in Sri Lanka. Specialised in the fields of natural, social, and applied sciences as well as mathematics, computer sciences, and law. It is ranked among the top 10 universities in South Asia.The University of Colombo was founded in 1921 as University College Colombo, affiliated to the University of London. Degrees were issued to its students from 1923 onwards. The university traces its roots to 1870 when the Ceylon Medical School was established. UoC has produced notable alumni in the fields of science, law, economics, business, literature, and politics.

Old Royal College Building is the main building of the University of Colombo. The iconic symbol of the University of Colombo, it is located on campus center in front of the university sports grounds, and presently houses the Department of Mathematics. Originally built in 1911 for the Royal College Colombo before it was transferred to the University College Colombo a year after its formation in 1921. Located behind the building is the King George Hall. The foundation stone for a new building for the Royal College Colombo was laid by the Governor of Ceylon Sir Henry McCallum on 31 May 1911 and the college was transferred from its former location in Sebastian Hill on 27 August 1913.

Liberty Plaza Shopping Complex also popularly known as Liberty Plaza is a Sri Lankan shopping mall which is located at Western Province, Kollupitiya, Colombo. It sells both local and international brands. It is the first shopping complex to be constructed in Sri Lanka. It was constructed in early 1980s and it is regarded as one of Sri Lanka's oldest and iconic shopping complexes. Chitra Weddikkara served as the quantity surveyor for the construction of the site in 1980s. The shopping mall sells various products such as clothes, toys, wine, food, accessories, jewellery, etc. It is famous for mobile phone shops and it plays a significant role in the mobile phone business. Liberty Plaza also opened the first store of popular tea brand Mlesna in 1985. The shopping complex is opened everyday except for Sunday.
