Palace of the Counts of Cocentaina

The Castle of Cocentaina, located in the municipality of Cocentaina, Alicante, Spain, is a 14th-century medieval building which stands on a rocky mound of 765 m. The castle structure, recently restored, is one of the town's symbols. The tower is a square two-story structure. On the first floor there is an open patio with a well, a chapel and a warehouse. On the upper floor, where the lords lived, there is a cornice with battlements and a path for guards. The castle is a good example of military gothic style.

Near Alcoi it joins with the Barxell, coming from the Serra de Mariola, after which it has a regular course. Other cities it passes through include Cocentaina, L'Alqueria d'Asnar, Muro d'Alcoi, Gayanes and Beniarrés, where a dam creates an artificial lake; after the latter, the Serpis crosses L'Orxa, Vilallonga, Potries, Beniarjó, Almoines, El Real de Gandia and Gandia, where it flows into the Mediterranean Sea, shortly after receiving the waters of its main affluent, Vernisa river. 38°42′8.08″N 0°28′13.0″W

The Iglesia arciprestal de Santa María is a former Spanish church in Alcoy, province of Alicante. It was constructed in the 18th century at the convent of St. Augustine, which was built in the 13th century. In 1936, the building was demolished, losing almost all the pictorial heritage on its walls. The reconstruction began in 1940 and on 19 May 1955, the new church was blessed on the site where the older building had stood, matching its original appearance and using the remains of the previous building.

The Llonja de Sant Jordi is a room of exhibitions of Alcoy (Alicante), Valencian Community, located under the floor of the Plaça d'Espanya (Spain Square). It is designed by the valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. Made during the years 1992-1995. Its internal structure is reminiscent of the rib of a whale. It also highlighted the mechanisms that give access to the underground room and the fountain of the square.
