The Upper Grand District School Board (known as English-language Public District School Board No. 18 prior to 1999) is a school board in Ontario, Canada. It spans an area of 4211 km² and serves approximately 35,000 students through 65 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools in the regions of Dufferin County, Wellington County and the City of Guelph, in the region to the west and north of Toronto. Student success is the goal of over 4,000 dedicated teaching and support staff who are aided by the contributions of caring volunteers and community partners.The board has 10 elected trustees and 2 student trustees. Loyola House or its full name Loyola House Retreat and Training Centre is a Jesuit spirituality centre in Guelph, Ontario. It moved to Guelph in 1964 and was the centre of a renewal in Ignatian spirituality in the 1970s. It is within the grounds of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre situated on Woolwich Street to the west of Riverside Park. In the 1960s and 1970s it was the centre of a significant shift in Ignatian spirituality.

The Wellington District was a historic district in Upper Canada and its successor, Canada West, which existed until 1849. It was formed in June 1840 from townships transferred from certain other districts: For electoral purposes, it was called Waterloo County and the district town was Guelph.Upon the passage of the Act of Union 1840, for electoral purposes Erin Township was attached to Halton County, which became known as the East Riding of Halton, and the remaining townships of Wellington that had previously been part of Halton became known as the West Riding of Halton.When the East and West Ridings were renamed for their respective counties in 1845, the township of Erin continued to be part of Halton for electoral purposes, and the township of Dumfries was similarly included for such purposes in Waterloo. At that time, Waterloo County was declared to consist of the following townships: In 1849, Wellington District was abolished, and Waterloo County remained for municipal and judicial purposes. The territory of the Bruce Peninsula became part of Waterloo in 1849, but was later withdrawn and transferred to Bruce County in 1851.

Holy Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It was originally part of the parish of Church of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph. It was founded in 1956. Since 2001, it has been administered by the Society of Jesus.

Guelph Lake is a man-made reservoir on the Speed River, in the Township of Guelph/Eramosa. It is located upriver and slightly northeast of the city of Guelph, Ontario. The reservoir was created in 1974, with the construction of the Guelph Lake dam. The site is part of a 1,608 hectare (3,971 acre) conservation area maintained by the Grand River Conservation Authority.

Guelph General Hospital is a medical care facility in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. It is a 182-bed facility with a total staff of about 1600. The facility opened as a 12-bed unit on 16 August 1875.This hospital rated as one of the safest in Canada in terms of the hospital standardized mortality ratio (the lower the better) at 78 in 2017, compared to the national average of 91. Also in 2017, the facility was among the best in Ontario in terms of wait times at the Emergency department.

Hastings Stadium, officially the David E. Hastings Stadium, is a baseball park located in the Exhibition Park area of Guelph, Ontario. It is home to the Guelph Royals of the Intercounty Baseball League and the home of the Guelph Silvercreeks. It is named after a local baseball player who was active from 1943 to 1968, first in Minor Baseball and then in the Senior Intercounty league. He then went on to manage the Guelph Junior and Senior teams until 1973. He was also mayor of Guelph, 1958–1960.The current grandstand was built in 1987 to replace the one built in 1924. The infield was renovated in the fall of 2013 by the City of Guelph Sportsfield Department, the field underwent renovations to the outfield fencing, bull pens, and foul poles, and replacement of the scoreboard and sound system in 2017.

Guelph is a provincial electoral district in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1987 until 1999, and again from 2007 to present. The riding was created from portions of the Guelph—Wellington riding. The riding includes all of the city of Guelph.

Guelph (formerly Guelph—Wellington) is a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1979. This riding has had a Liberal MP since 1993.From 2008 until his decision not to run in 2015, the riding's parliamentary seat was held by Liberal MP Frank Valeriote. Valeriote had announced his intention to retire on November 15, 2014. The Liberal candidate in the 2015 federal election in the riding was Lloyd Longfield, who previously served as president of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. Longfield was first elected on October 19, 2015 and reelected on October 21, 2019.
