Achthoven, Vijfheerenlanden

Jaarsveld is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Lopik, and lies about 7 km southwest of IJsselstein. Jaarsveld used to be a separate municipality, covering a large part of the current municipality of Lopik south of the Lopiker Wetering and Enge IJssel rivers. It merged with the municipality of Lopik in 1943. A large part of the town of Lopik is actually built in the former municipality of Jaarsveld.

Ameide is a city in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 9 km southwest of IJsselstein. Ameide received city rights in the 14th century. Ameide was a separate municipality in the province of South Holland until 1986, when it became part of Zederik. When Zederik merged into the new municipality Vijfheerenlanden in 2019, it became a part of the province of Utrecht.In 2001, the village of Ameide had 3087 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.58 km², and contained 1083 residences. The statistical area "Ameide", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3040.

Uitweg is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Lopik, and lies about 5 km southwest of IJsselstein. The town consists almost completely of a ribbon of farms along the Enge IJssel and Lopiker Wetering rivers, between Graaf and Lopikerkapel. It was first mentioned between 1165 and 1169 as "inter viam que dicitur Vtweg" and means side road. The road is nowadays called Opweg. The postal authorities have placed it under Lopikerkapel. Uitweg has its own place name signs. The nature area De Horde was originally a river island. In 1860, it was turned into a peninsula by the creation of a dike.

Lakerveld is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 9 km south of IJsselstein. The hamlet was first mentioned in the 16th century as Laeckervelt, and means "field near the Laak (river)". Lakerveld has no place name signs. In 1840, it was home to 300 people.

Lopik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈloːpɪk] ) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht, close to the Lek river.

Broek is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 11 km north of Gorinchem. Broek has no place name signs, and the postal authorities have placed it under Meerkerk. In 1840, it was home to 293 people. A part of the hamlet has been placed under Ameide and consists of about 10 houses.

Benschop is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Lopik, and lies about 4 km west of IJsselstein. Benschop is an extremely long village: apart from a relatively compact town centre, it consists of a long ribbon (over 8 km long) of houses (mainly farms) on both sides of the Benschopsche Wetering. Until 1989, Benschop was a separate municipality.

Lexmond is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 7 km south of IJsselstein. Lexmond was a separate municipality in the province of South Holland until 1986, when it became part of Zederik. When Zederik merged into the new municipality Vijfheerenlanden in 2019, it became a part of the province of Utrecht.

Meerkerk is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden, and lies about 9 km north of Gorinchem. In 2001, the village of Meerkerk had 2281 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.71 km², and contained 818 residences. The statistical area "Meerkerk", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2310.

Zederik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzeːdərɪk] ) is a former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality covered an area of 76.50 km2 (29.54 sq mi) of which 2.77 km2 (1.07 sq mi) is water. It had a population of data missing in 2021. The municipality of Zederik was formed on January 1, 1986, through the merger of the former municipalities of Ameide, Hei- en Boeicop, Leerbroek, Lexmond, Meerkerk, Nieuwland, and Tienhoven aan de Lek. Zederik merged with Leerdam and Vianen into the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden in the province of Utrecht on January 1, 2019. The municipality was named after the Old Zederik, a small canal running through its area. The population centres of Zederik consisted of Ameide, Hei- en Boeicop, Leerbroek, Lexmond, Meerkerk, Nieuwland, and Tienhoven aan de Lek.

The Utrecht sneltram (literally Utrecht fast tram, more accurately written in Dutch as Utrechtse sneltram) is a light rail system in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The system consists of 3 lines. Lines 60 and 61 connect Utrecht Centraal railway station with the residential areas of Lombok and Kanaleneiland and the suburbs Nieuwegein and IJsselstein. Line 22 connects Utrecht Centraal to the Uithof district and Utrecht University.

IJsselstein (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɛisəlstɛin] (listen)) is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. IJsselstein received city rights in 1331. IJsselstein owes its name to the river Hollandse IJssel which flows through the city. It is a major commuting suburb for the Utrecht area, along with neighbouring towns Houten and Nieuwegein (in part due to the Sneltram light rail line serving the area). It's surrounded by the municipalities of Utrecht, Montfoort, Lopik, Vijfheerenlanden and Nieuwegein.
