The Church of Our Lady of Remedies (Portuguese: Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Luanda, Angola. It was built in 1628 and is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Luanda. In 1716 the headquarters of the Diocese of Angola and Congo was transferred from São Salvador of Congo to Luanda, which eventually led the church of Dos Remedios to become cathedral. In 1877 it was in ruins and restored between 1880 and 1900. At that time acquired the present appearance, as three doors and a curved pediment on the façade. In 1949 it was declared a Public Interest, when it was still part of the Portuguese colonial empire.

Estádio dos Coqueiros is a multi-use stadium in Luanda, Angola. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Benfica de Luanda and Kabuscorp. The stadium holds 12,000 people and was built during the colonial period, in 1947. It underwent major renovation works in 2005.

Ingombota is one of the six urban districts that make up the municipality of Luanda, in the province of Luanda, the capital city of Angola. Ingombota is home to the central business district of Luanda, Angola. The economic, political and symbolic center of the city and the nation, it is Luanda's oldest district. The district is home to most of Luanda's prominent hotels and office towers.

Maianga is one of the six municipalities of the administrative division of the province of Luanda, Angola. In 2011, as part of a restructuring of Luanda's regional government, the municipality was designated as one of Luanda's six urban districts. The area is one of the older quarters of Luanda and was established before independence. The area is best known for Quatro de Fevereiro Airport and its strong musical culture.

Igreja e Convento de Nossa Senhora do Carmo (Church and Convent of Our Lady of Mount Carmel), also Igreja do Carmo or Carmo's Church, is a church and convent complex in Luanda, Angola. Thanks to its good condition, the church is considered to be one of the country's most important religious monuments. Under the patronage of Queen Luisa de Guzmán, the church was completed in 1689. It was built by the Carmelites who arrived in Luanda in 1659. The simple structure has a plain facade surmounted by a triangular gable. The building had seriously decayed by 1828 but was restored by Dominican priests. The interior is decorated with carved altars, gilded sculptures, frescos and Lisbon tilework.

The National Assembly (Portuguese: Assembleia Nacional) is the legislative branch of the government of Angola. Angola is a unicameral country so the National Assembly is the only legislative chamber at the national level. The People's Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) has held a majority in the Assembly since Angolan independence in 1975. Multi-party elections were delayed under Jose Eduardo dos Santos quasi dictatorial rule for decades until the Angolan general election, 1992. The first Angolan legislative election was in September 2008. After a new constitution was adopted in 2010, the first election under this new constitution was held in 2012, increasing considerably the power of the President, and diminishing that of the National Assembly as well as that of the judiciary.

The National Bank of Angola (Portuguese: Banco Nacional de Angola) is the central bank of Angola. It is state-owned and the Government of Angola is the sole shareholder. The bank is based in Luanda, and was created in 1926, but traces its ancestry back to 1865. The National Bank of Angola is active in developing financial inclusion policy and is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.

Fortaleza de São Miguel or Saint Michael Fortress was a Portuguese fortress built in 1576 in the Ingombota District of Luanda, Angola. During Dutch rule in Angola between 1641 and 1648, the fort was known as Fort Aardenburgh.

The Museum of the Armed Forces (Portuguese: Museu das Forças Armadas) is located in Fortaleza de São Miguel de Luanda, in the Ingombota District of Luanda, Angola. Founded in 1975, following the independence of Angola, the museum includes bi-motor airplanes, combat vehicles, and diverse arms and artifacts used during the Angolan War of Independence (1961–1974), the South African Border War (1966-1991), and the Angolan Civil War (1975–2002). The museum also contains statuary which ornamented the avenues and plazas of colonial Luanda, which were removed after independence. These include the statue of Diogo Cão, the first European to set foot in Angola, of Paulo Dias de Novais, founder of the city of São Paulo da Assunção de Luanda, of Vasco da Gama, and of famous Portuguese poet Luís de Camões, among others. The museum grounds and outdoor exhibits, long in a delipidated state, underwent an extensive restoration project at some point between 1997 and 2013.

Palácio de Ferro (English: Iron Palace) is a historical building in the Angolan capital Luanda, believed to have been designed and built by – or by someone associated with – Gustave Eiffel, builder of the world-famous icons, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Statue of Liberty in New York City. The history of the structure is shrouded in mystery since no official record of it exists. It is believed to have been pre-built in the 1890s in France and was destined to be placed in Madagascar via boat. Instead, the building ended up in Angola's Skeleton Coast after the ship carrying it was grounded by the notorious Benguela Current. Portuguese rulers of the colony then claimed the ship along with all its contents, including the palace. During the Portuguese era, the building had a great deal of prestige and it was used as an art center. But after the independence of Angola, the palace was left in neglect with its surrounding area eventually ending up as a parking lot. It was also heavily damaged during the Angolan Civil War leaving some of its structures in a rusted and rotting condition. Currently, the building is undergoing a renovation funded by profits from Angola's oil boom with the help of Brazilian construction companies, as many of the reclaimed iron balustrades and floor tiles were individually renovated in Rio de Janeiro. It now stands as the symbol of the city's rebirth as well as a point of social reference for the future. The Ministry of Culture of Angola is still deciding whether the building is to become a diamond museum or a restaurant.

Banco de Poupança e Crédito (BPC) (English: Savings and Credit Bank) is a government-owned, full service bank in Angola. With some 68 branches, including one in Cabinda, it has the largest branch network in the country.

Josina Machel Hospital in Luanda is the oldest and largest state hospital in Angola. It is considered the best health facility in the country and is an important historical monument.
