Cary station is an active train station located in Cary, North Carolina. It is served by three Amtrak trains: the Silver Star, Carolinian, and Piedmont services. Service from the Cary station is to Charlotte, Miami, New York, and points in between.

The Herbert C. Young Community Center is the local community and recreation center in Cary, North Carolina. The center opened in 1991, and was the first such facility in the town. It was renamed in 2001 in honor of Herb Young, a 20-year volunteer and former Town Council member who also served on the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Advisory Board member. The Page-Walker Hotel, also known as the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, is a historic house museum and former hotel located in Cary, North Carolina. The founder of the town of Cary, Allison Francis Page, built the Second Empire style hotel about 1868, and J. R. Walker bought it later. Page's son Walter Hines Page (1855–1918) was an American journalist, publisher, and diplomat.

Cary Historic District is a national historic district located at Cary, Wake County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 39 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Cary. The district developed between about 1890 and 1945, and includes notable examples of Queen Anne and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the former Cary High School (Later Cary Elementary School at application, now Cary Arts Center) built in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration, Esther Ivey House (c. 1890), Captain Harrison P. Guess House (1830s, c. 1900), and Dr. John P. Hunter House (c. 1925).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Nancy Jones House is a historic home located near Cary, Wake County, North Carolina. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is the oldest surviving structure in Cary.
