Marion National Cemetery

The National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, Marion Branch is a historic old soldiers' home located in Marion, Indiana. The hospital, along with Marion National Cemetery were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999 as a national historic district.

The Veterans Administration Medical Center was a sanatorium in Center Township, Grant County, Indiana dedicated to the treatment of U.S. military personnel inflicted with mental illness. Approved for construction in 1888 as a National Asylum for disabled soldiers and sailors of the Civil War, the center served veterans of several conflicts and was known by various names over its century-long operation: Marion Branch, National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers (1888–1921), changed to Marion National Sanitorium (1921–1930) to accommodate neuropsychiatric care, and finally Veterans Administration Medical Center from July 1930 on, as the result of the consolidation of various Federal agencies handling veterans’ affairs.

Center Township is one of thirteen townships in Grant County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 23,406 and it contained 10,189 housing units. It is home to the Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) is a private evangelical Christian university headquartered in Marion, Indiana, and affiliated with the Wesleyan Church. It is the largest private university in Indiana.The university system includes IWU—Marion, where nearly 3,000 students are enrolled in traditional programs on the main campus in Marion and IWU-National & Global which consists of 6,800 adult learners who study online or onsite at 15 education centers in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. In addition 535 graduate students are currently enrolled at Wesley Seminary.IWU offers more than 80 undergraduate degrees and 57 graduate degrees including nine doctoratal degrees. Its students represent more than 80 Christian denominations and come from 11 countries.

West Ward School, also known as the West Building Mississinewa Community Schools, is a historic school building located at Gas City, Grant County, Indiana. It was built between 1900 and 1902, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rectangular, Richardsonian Romanesque style brick and stone building. It features a symmetrical main facade with round towers at each corner topped by conical roofs.: 2–3  The building houses a museum and community center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Thompson-Ray House is a historic home located at Gas City, Grant County, Indiana. It was built between 1902 and 1906, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Late Victorian Free Classic style brick and stone dwelling. It has a cruciform plan and gable roof. It features porches with multiple classical columns and a porte cochere.: 5 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.It currently houses LEAD Inc., the Gas City Chamber of Commerce, and the Grant County Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Gas City is a city in Grant County, Indiana, United States, along the Mississinewa River. The population was 5,965 at the 2010 census.

Wesley Seminary is an evangelical Christian theological seminary that was founded by the Wesleyan Church denomination and Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). Wesley Seminary is located on Indiana Wesleyan University's main campus in Marion, Indiana.

Marion is a city in and the county seat of Grant County, Indiana, United States, along the Mississinewa River. The population was 28,310 as of the 2020 census. It is named for Francis Marion, a brigadier general from South Carolina in the American Revolutionary War. The city is home to Indiana Wesleyan University, the largest evangelical Christian university in the Midwest and Indiana's largest private university, when online and regional campuses in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Illinois are included. The traditional campus enrolls about 2,800 students. Marion is the birthplace of actor James Dean and cartoonist Jim Davis, and was the location of the wedding of actress Julia Roberts and singer Lyle Lovett in 1993. Ronald Douglas Morrell Jr. is the city's first African American mayor and has been mayor since 2024.
